China Hongkong Lee & Man Paper to invest in 11 Baotuo tissue machines in its Chongzuo plant
The PM4 high-speed crescent tissue machine of Shengda Paper in Nanning of China was started normally
On September 26, the PM4 crescent tissue machine of Nanning Shengda Paper Co., Ltd. was normally started and put into operation. This tissue machine is provided by Zhucheng Dazheng Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., with a width of 2850mm, a design speed of 1600m/min, and a design capacity of approximately 17,000 tpy every year. In November 2018, Shengda Paper’s first tissue machine provided by Dazheng Machinery was put into operation. So far, there are four high-speed tissue machines, with a total production capacity of 72,000 tpy of tissue paper.

New Projects
preliminary phase are designed to operate in the fourth quarter of 2023. The additional 6 Baotuo BC1800-3600 premium crescent tissue machines will be put into production in the first quarter of 2024. The Chongzuo entire industrial chain plant is located in the Zhongtai (Chongzuo) Industrial Park, in Chongzuo, Guangxi. The preliminary phase has an annual capacity of 300,000 tons of chemical pulp, 400,000 tons of tissue paper and 400,000 tons of tissue converting and a smart logistics park.
The groundbreaking ceremony of Jinboshi New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in Hubei, China was successfully held
On October 26th, the first phase of the project of Hubei Jinboshi, which can produce 250,000 tons of high-end tissue paper and paper products annually, was officially commenced. At the same time, the Xiaogan branch venue for the mass commencement of major projects in Hubei province was also established in the location of Jinboshi project. Since the signing of the contract on July 26, 2023, two village bays with over 70 houses have become project sites for “three connections and one leveling” in two months, and it has only been three months since the project was fully started.

China Sichuan Xinye Paper Co., Ltd. put PM2 into operation
Recently, China Sichuan Xinye Paper Co., Ltd. Put PM2 into operation. This is a high-speed crescent tissue machine provided by Baoding Changda Papermaking Machinery Co., Ltd.. With a design speed of 1,300m/min and a net paper width of 2,850mm, the tissue machine takes use of all commercial pulp and achieves a design capacity of 20,000 t/a each.

On September 19, Aishubao officially started the second phase expansion project in Tongcheng economic development zone, Xianning, Hubei Province. Aishubao expansion project phase II plans to invest 60 million yuan and build a new production workshop. 6 automatic sanitary napkin production lines and 4 functional chip production lines are expected to be put into operation in August 2024.

China Winner Medical achieved a revenue of 6.01 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2023
China Baiya Corporation achieved a revenue of 526 million yuan in the third quarter of 2023
On October 24th, China Winner Medical Products Co., Ltd. released its report for the first three quarters of 2023. In the third quarter of 2023, the company’s operating revenue was approximately 1.744 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 29.82%. The net profit belonged to shareholders of the listed company was approximately 1.466 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 310.15%.
On October 22nd, Chongqing Baiya Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. in China released its report for the third quarter of 2023. In the third quarter of 2023, the company’s operating revenue was approximately 526 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.65%. The net profit belonged to shareholders of the listed company was approximately 50.6598 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.01%.

In order to advance the promotion and application of high-quality elderly products, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has organized the application for the 2023 elderly products promotion catalog. 34 manufacturers of adult diapers, nursing pads and wet wipes, including China Bestee for women and children, Hangzhou Haoyue, Guangdong Winsun, Guangdong Meijie, Baiya, U-Play, Yusen and Jinboshi, are successfully selected into the 2023 Elderly Products Promotion Catalog, setting a model of high-quality adult care products in China.

According to the secretariat of CHHPIA, China tissue paper industry achieved a production capacity of about 1.167 million t/a in the first nine months of 2023, with a total of 42 paper machines, including 30 domestic machines and 12 imported machines. The production capacity of the three quarters is successively 309,000 t/a, 501,000 t/a, and 357,000 t/a. The overall capacity subsides compared to the capacity of 1.312 t/a in the first nine months of 2022. The original plan of the production capacity of 2023 is 2.731 t/a. Price changes of pulp and parent tissue roll in the main regional markets of tissue paper from January to September in 2023
According to research data from the magazine Tissue Paper and Disposable Products, compared to 2022, the overall price of pulp from January to September in 2023 showed a downward trend, reaching its lowest point in May of 2023. Afterwards, it was in a stable upward phase, and the overall operating pressure of tissue paper production enterprises has decreased. The price of non-wood pulp is affected by changes in wood pulp prices to some extent. When the price of wood pulp increases, non-wood pulp also shows varying degrees of increase. However, it is worth noting that the price of natural bamboo pulp has been relatively stable since 2023 due to reduced demand.

Imports and exports of tissue paper and hygiene products in China in the first three quarters of 2023
According to customs statistics, tissue paper products of China continued to show a trade surplus trend with significant growth in both export value and volume in the first three quarters of 2023. The import and export of absorbent hygiene products continued the trend in the first half of the year, with a year-on-year decrease in import and sustained growth in export. The import volume of wet wipes has significantly declined year on year, while the export volume has slightly increased compared to the same period of last year.

From September 20 to 23, 2023, the Guangxi Paper Industry Association and the Guangxi Paper Academy of China assembled more than 20 people from five departments and nine pulp and paper-making enterprises including the Industry and Information Bureau, Forestry Bureau, the industrial park, and industrial investment group in Laibin of Guangxi to inspect the development of the bamboo industry in Sichuan. They exchanged experiences with Huanlong, Yibin Paper and Yongfeng Pulp and Paper in developing the bamboo industry according to local conditions, discussed how to replace plastic with bamboo and orderly promoting the development of high-yield bamboo forest bases to achieve a recyclable, low-carbon and green bamboo industry.

On September 25th, Jiangmen Ecology and Environment Bureau in Guangdong Province, China, accepted the second phase of tissue project of Asia Symbol (Guangdong) Paper Co., Ltd., with an annual production of 100,000 tonsof tissue. The project investment is about 11.450 billion yuan in total. The total area of the factory is 665,337m2and the total construction area is 344,456.695m2. The project has an annual production and processing capacity of 100,000 tons of tissue, 49,000 tons of spunlaced nonwovens, and 5,000 tons of nonwovens.
