    Andritz will provide Guangxi Sun Paper with supporting pulp preparation systems for its TM 9-12, which is expected to start up in the third to fourth quarter of 2022. These four advanced pulp preparation systems, with a total production capacity of 360 tpd, will be used for toilet tissue production. The complete process includes repulping, pulp grinding and fiber recovery system. The scope of supply also includes equipment installation guidance, commissioning, start-up services and personnel training.

    The project is to rebuild the vacuum cylinder tissue machine into a crescent tissue machine, including felt washing part, forming part, heat exchange ventilation system, steam condensate system, approach flow system and other key equipment and technology. China Weituo Machinery provided full services such as engineering design, installation guidance, machine commissioning, training and start-up support.

    On July 24, C&S Paper Co., Ltd. held ground-breaking ceremony for the Dazhou project in Lidu Industrial Park, Dazhou County, Sichuan Province.  C&S invested about 4 billion yuan n the pulp and

paper integration project, and it is expected to build one bamboo pulp production line and three tissue paper production lines, with an annual capacity of about 318,000 tons of bamboo pulp and 300,000 tons of tissue paper after completion.

    On August 19, the first 1000 m/min high-speed paper towel machine independently developed and designed by Goldsun Machinery (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was successfully put into production at APP’s (China) Gold Hongye Nantong base.

    It is reported that the production line put into operation this time is the first line of the company’s 50,000 tpy energy saving and emission reduction upgrading project. Another tissue machine has also been installed and will be put into operation in the near future.

   On August 20, China Xi’an Via Paper Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully started up the high-speed crescent tissue production line delivered to China Hebei Puxin Paper Co., Ltd. The tissue machine has a width of 3,550 mm and a design speed of 1,300 m/min, and mainly adopts wood pulp to produce high-grade tissue paper with an annual capacity of 25,000 tpy.

  On August 19, China Hengan International announced its financial results for the first-half of 2022. Its operating revenue was 11.20 billion yuan, up 12.3% year on year, and net profit reached 1.276 billion yuan, down 31.4% year on year. Gross margin for the period was 35.2%, down 4.2 percentage points from 39.4% a year earlier.

    In the first half of 2022, Yiyi’s operating revenue was 731 million yuan, up 27.58% year on year, and net profit attributable to the owner of the parent company was about 65.2931 million yuan, up 8.19% year on year. The basic earning per share was 0.69 yuan, down 14.81% year on year.

    In the first half of 2022, Chongqing Baiya’s operating revenue was about 739 million yuan, down 2.86% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was about 78.3602 million yuan, down 40.65% year on year. The basic earning per share was 0.18 yuan, down 41.94% year on year.

  In the first half of 2022, China Winner Medical’s operating revenue was 5.158 billion yuan, up 27.05% year on year. Among them, the main business revenue was 5.11 billion yuan, up 27.4% over prior-year period. Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 893 million yuan, up 17.32% over prior-year period.

  China Tongling Jyair Biologic Technology Co., Ltd. achieved operating revenue of 360 million yuan in the first half of 2022, down 42.62% year on year, which was mainly caused by a significant reduction in the sales of disinfectant wipes. Net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed companies was about 89.1557 million yuan, down 35.01% year on year.

    On August 16, 17 government departments including China National Health Commission issued Guiding Opinions on Further Improving and Implementing Support Measures for Active Childbirth. The guide opinions put forward 20 specific measures in seven areas, including improving maternal care services and public-benefit childcare services and developing a universal-type child care service system, to further improve and implement active childbirth support measures, so as to provide strong support for achieving a moderate reproductive level and promoting balanced population growth in the long term.

      According to China Customs, there was a double-digit decline in import volume and import value of tissue paper in the first half of 2022, with import volume of about 18,900 tons. The export situation of tissue paper was in good condition, up 14.04% to about 360,700 tons.

    In the first half of 2022, the import volume of absorbent hygiene products decreased by 29.82% year on year to 39,000 tons, among which baby diapers, which accounted for the largest proportion, decreased by 34.25%. The exports of absorbent hygiene products maintained an overall growth momentum. The export volume, the export value and the average price of exports all increased year on year, among which the export volume increased by 12.40% to about 543,000 tons.

    In the first half of 2022, China’s wipes trade was dominated by exports, the import volume was less than 1/10 of the export volume, but the export volume has declined. The export volume and export value of wipes decreased by 28.69% and 17.35% year on year, respectively, with the export volume of about 266,000 tons.

  On August 9, Xiaonan District, Hubei Province, China, was awarded the title of “Capital of China Tissue and Hygiene Paper (Product) Industry·Xiaonan” by China National Light Industry Council for its outstanding development of tissue paper and hygiene products industry.

    Recently, Breeze, a tissue paper brand of APP(China), launched its first commercial zero-carbon product: Blossom Premium Tissue (4 layers). From at-home channels to commercial channels, Gold Hongye Paper continues to launch green and low-carbon high-quality products.

    According to the China list of “Brand Footprint 2022” released by Kantar Consumer Index, Vinda brand was included into the list of “Top 10 Preferred Brands by Chinese Consumers in 2021” and “Top 10 Fastest Growing Brands in 2021” (based on the top 50 brands).

    On August 24, to strengthen friendly exchanges in the industry, Xu Qingliu, President of China Hengan and Vice Chairman of Fujian Federation of Commerce & Industry, and his delegation, visited China DaddyBaby Co., Ltd. and its intelligent factory. He was warmly received by Linbin, Chairman of the board of directors of DaddyBaby Co., Ltd. and the company senior managers. Both sides put forward their original opinions on the current situation, difficulties and future development trends of the hygiene products industry, and conducted multi-dimensional exchanges and discussions.

China Dongshun Group held its 30th anniversary celebration 

  On August 13, China Dongshun Group held the 30th anniversary celebration. Chairman Chen Shuming delivered a speech, the specially produced “Documentary of Dongshun Group’s 30 Years of Strategic Development”was premiered at the celebration, and the 30th anniversary medal of Dongshun Group was awarded . In the future, Dongshun Group will continue to struggle to open a new chapter.

    Kimberly-Clark announced that it will support the UNICEF’s “newborn health and early childhood development promotion” project in China through its Huggies brand, so as to work together to improve the health and lives of children aged 0-3 and their caregivers in central and western China. The project is expected to directly reach more than 7.3 million children, including newborns.

    On August 12, the unveiling activity of Joint Innovation Research Center for Skin Health and Joint Training Base for Practice Teaching of East China University of Science and Technology was held in China Frog Prince Group. This marks a new prelude to the school-enterprise cooperation between FrogPrince Group and East China University of Science and Technology to achieve complementary advantages, constantly improve the level of high-tech research, build a benchmark for the integration of industry, education and research, and boost the development of baby care industry.

     The 29th China International Disposable Paper Expo (CIDPEX 2022) was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei, China from July 27 to July 31, 2022 (FOCUS Conference: July 27-28, Exhibition: July 29-31).

    CIDPEX2022 had an exhibition area of 100,000m2, attracted more than 800 exhibitors, and covered upstream and downstream of industry chain of tissue paper, disposable hygiene products, raw/auxiliary materials and machinery. In the three days of exhibition, more than 1,000 brands displayed and hundreds of sets of equipment demonstrated onsite.

    On July 28, 2022 list of “Products with Craftsmanship” in China tissue paper and hygiene products industry was officially released. 17 brands in the list of“Products with Craftsmanship” were showcased at CIDPEX2022 exhibition.

    On July 29, China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd. signed the brand enterprise annual “UP Service” cooperation agreement with Hengan, Vinda, COCO, Vanov, Libang, OCARE, Sateri, Baosuo and other industrial enterprises, and signed the technical service package cooperation agreement with Gold Hongye.

    From August 15 to 16, Sinolight (Jinjiang) Hygiene Products Research Co., Ltd. successfully held “China Hengan Group - Sinolight Hygiene Products Quality Inspection Skills Improvement Training Course”. This training course aims to comprehensively improve the professional skills and level of occupation of health products quality inspection personnel of China Hengan Group. 43 finished product quality inspectors and microbial inspectors from the headquarters of Hengan Group and various production bases participated in the training course.

    In March 2021, driven by the “Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals”, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and other departments officially released 18 new occupations. “Carbon emission manager”, applied by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, was listed as a green occupation in the Occupational Classification Code of the People’s Republic of China.

    In order to promote green and low-carbon transformation and development, help to achieve the carbon emission goals, and response to the urgent demand for carbon emission managers from various employers inside and outside the industry, China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute, as a training base for carbon emission managers approved by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, will, as required, organize and carry out occupation training and occupational ability evaluation for level 3/4 carbon emission monitors, carbon emission auditors, carbon emission checkers, carbon emission traders and level 3 carbon emission consultants.
