The new crescent tissue machine 2850-1400 provided by Changda Machinery Co., Ltd. in Baoding, China, to Huajie Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. in Henan, China, has successfully started up and produced tissue on May 13. The machine has a width of 2850mm, a design speed of 1400m/min, and a single machine production capacity that can exceed 20,000 tpy.

CIDPEX2024 Acquired Complete Success
The 31st China International Disposable Paper Expo (CIDPEX2024) grandly opened on May 15 at the Nanjing International Expo Center. Industry enterprises and professionals gathered in Nanjing to attend this annual industry event. With over 800 industry companies participating and with 8 exhibition halls at the Nanjing International Expo Center, this exhibition is the largest and most popular professional event in the industry. Over the 3-day exhibition, more than 45,000 visitors attended, including over 4,000 overseas professional buyers from the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, and other regions. Besides, over a thousand brands were exhibited concurrently, with hundreds of equipment demonstrations onsite.

The First edition of the “Elderly Products Promotion Catalog” Exhibition Was Successfully Held
From May 15 to 17, the first exhibition of the “Elderly Products Promotion Catalog” was successfully held at Hall 1 of the Nanjing International Expo Center. This exhibition brought together elderly product enterprises selected for MIIT’s “Elderly Products Promotion Catalog” in 2022 and 2023. The exhibits covered five major areas: daily living aids, elderly clothing, elderly care products, age-appropriate household products, and health promotion products.

Director Cao Zhenlei Met and Exchange Views with Mr. Shinya Takahashi, the Senior Managing Director of Japan Hygiene Products Industry Association (JHPIA)
On May 12, Dr. Cao Zhenlei, the Chairman of CTAPI and Chairman of CNHPIA, and Cao Baoping, the Vice Secretary-General of CNHPIA, met with Mr. Shinya Takahashi, the Senior Managing Director of JHPIA, and Mr. Miya Kiyoshi, the Vice Chairman of the Technical Committee of JHPIA and the Participant in the Global Quality Assurance Department of Unicharm Corporation in Nanjing. Both sides exchanged views on the carbon reduction policies and targets of China and Japan, as well as the work done by both associations in this regard. They further discussed the feasibility of cooperating on carbon footprint accounting standards and exchanged preliminary views on the agenda for the 6th China-Japan Hygiene Products Entrepreneurs Joint Meeting in 2025.

On May 14, the nationwide promotion of “increasing variety, improving quality and promoting brand”— 2024 “Products with Craftsmanship” list for Chinese tissue paper and hygiene products industry was officially released during CIDPEX2024. 32 brands products successfully made to the list, and the brands included in this year’s “Products with Craftsmanship” list were evaluated according to the group standards of Products with Craftsmanship: Tissue Paper and Products with Craftsmanship: Hygiene Products.
