New Projects
On September 28, China Guangdong Yunfu City held a major project signing and construction completion activities, Luoding City Branch held a completion ceremony of Guangdong Heng’an Paper Industry Co., Ltd. The project has a total investment of 900 million yuan, and is expected to reach an output value of 300 million yuan.
China Guangdong Hengan Paper phase Ⅰ tissue paper project completed and put into operation
Recently, Voith successfully assisted China Hengan Group in upgrading the wire alignment device of its No. 9 tissue machine at the Jinjiang base. After the upgrade, the machine operates smoothly, significantly enhancing the stability of the forming wire and achieving the upgrade objectives.

Zhengzhou Yunda’s tissue machine accessories for Liaoning Yusen passed acceptance inspection
In August 2024, Zhengzhou Yunda received the final acceptance certificate for its 160,000 tons per year tissue machine accessories (TM3/TM4/TM5/TM6) for Liaoning Yusen Sanitary Health Supplies Co. Ltd. Yunda provided a complete set of pulping equipment, enabling all four tissue machines to start operations within the same year. The tissue machines have a width of 3,500 mm and a design speed of 1,600 m/min.
China Sun Paper adds four production lines to Nanning project
Recently, the Nanning project of China Sun Paper has successively launched four new production lines: PM5, PM6, PM7, and PM8, for tissue paper. Each machine is designed with a speed of 800 to 1,700 m/min and a net paper width of 2,800 to 3,600 mm. With all four machines in operation, Sun Paper’s tissue paper production capacity will reach 510,000 tons per year.

On October 15, Shanxi Yungang Paper successfully launched its TM12. This production launch marks a significant advancement in the company’s equipment upgrades and technological innovations.
Six tissue and hand towel machines provided by Shanghai Qingliang put into production
From September 22 to October 15, six tissue and hand towel machines provided by Shanghai Qingliang were successfully commissioned and started production at Shanxi Yuantai Thermal, Guangxi Sun Paper, and Shanxi Yungang in China.

China Songlin Doctor Blade & Saw Manufacture Co., Ltd. has added 4 new large circular knife robotic automatic production lines, so that the company's production capacity on the basis of the original increase by two times, the current capacity has fully met the demand for products in markets around the world.
Inauguration and commencement ceremony held for Tianjiao Factory in Hubei, China
Recently, the inauguration and commencement ceremony for Hubei Tianjiao Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Xiaogan, Hubei. This factory is the first branch of Quanzhou Tianjiao located outside its home province. The first phase of the project covers an area of 210 acres and took 15 months.

China Baiya Corporation reports Q3 2024 revenue of 793 million RMB

China Haoyue Healthcare plans to acquire 100% stake of C-bons Healthcare
In the third quarter of 2024, Chongqing Baiya Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. reported revenue of approximately 793 million RMB, a year-on-year increase of 50.64%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was about 58.81 million RMB, marking a 16.10% increase from the previous year.
On October 25, Hangzhou Haoyue Personal Care Co., Ltd. announced plans to acquire a 100% stake in Hubei C-bons Healthcare Products Co., Ltd. through a cash transaction. Based on preliminary valuation, C-bons Healthcare’s total estimated value is capped at 360 million RMB.

China Winner Medical acquires U.S. GRI to build resilient global supply chain

Recently, China Winner Medical completed its first international acquisition, purchasing a 75.2% stake in Global Resources International, Inc. (GRI) for $120 million. This acquisition aims to establish a new benchmark for a one-stop global solution in medical consumables.
Beijing Dayuan acquires Japan’s JNC Nonwovens (Changshu) Co., Ltd.
On September 24, Beijing Dayuan announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of JNC Corporation’s wholly-owned subsidiary, JNC Nonwovens (Changshu) Co., Ltd. Following the acquisition, the company plans to be renamed Dayuan New Materials Technology (Changshu) Co., Ltd., focusing on the production, research and development, and sales of nonwoven materials and products.

China’s imports and exports of tissue paper and hygiene products in the first three quarters of 2024
In the first three quarters of 2024, China’s tissue paper products continued to show a trade surplus, with a notable increase in export volume. Imports of absorbent hygiene products and wipes continued to decrease, while exports of these categories maintained growth. For detailed analysis of import and export data for each product category, please refer to the official WeChat account of “Tissue Paper & Disposable Products”.
Fujian Province’s paper and products export surpasses 9 billion Yuan in first eight months
According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, from January to August 2024, Fujian Province exported paper and its products worth 9.18 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.8%. ASEAN has become Fujian’s largest trading partner for paper exports, with a total export value of 3.27 billion yuan to ASEAN, reflecting a 59.1% increase. The role of private enterprises as a driving force is evident, as they exported 7.49 billion yuan of paper and products in the first eight months, a year-on-year growth of 31%, accounting for over 80% of the total paper export value from Fujian during the same period.

Pulp and tissue parent roll prices in major regional markets of China in September 2024
According to research data from Tissue Paper & Disposable Products Magazine, the average price of pulp in China’s major tissue paper markets in September 2024 showed an overall decline, except for the relatively stable prices in the Sichuan-Chongqing region.
The prices of tissue parent roll in different regional tissue paper markets displayed distinct characteristics. In Hebei, the price of bleached wood pulp tissue parent roll increased by 235 RMB/t, while the average price of bleached wood pulp tissue parent roll in Guangxi fell by 215 RMB/t. Conversely, the prices of bleached and natural color bamboo pulp tissue parent roll in the Sichuan-Chongqing region remained relatively stable.
Chinese national standards in the series of Green Product Assessment—Paper and Paper Products and Wet Wipes and Similar Products approved for release
On September 29, the State Administration for Market Regulation of China (China Standardisation Administration) issued Notice No. 22 of 2024 approving the release of 511 national standards, including Green Product Assessment—Paper and Paper Products, Wet wipes and similar products—Part 1: General requirements, Wet wipes and similar products—Part 2: Particular requirements for babies and children wet wipes, Wet wipes and similar products—Part 3: Particular requirements for disinfection wet wipes, which are 4 national standards in the field of paper manufacturing.

On October 17, a delegation of six, including Cao Baoping, Deputy Secreatary General of China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Guan Qiming, General Manager of Foshan Qisheng Hygiene Products Co., Ltd., Li Hanfan, General Manager of New Sense Hygiene Products Co., Ltd., and Li Peien, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Kawada Sanitary Products Co., Ltd., visited the headquarters of Lila Kağıt in Turkey. The two sides discussed the development of e-commerce and engaged in in-depth exchanges on the characteristics of the tissue paper markets in Turkey and China, including channels, consumption habits, and retail brand proportions.

Second stop: Selüloz ve Kağıt Sanayii Vakfı
On October 17, the delegation of six visited Selüloz ve Kağıt Sanayii Vakfı. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the product structure of tissue paper, retail brand status, the development of e-commerce channels, and consumer habits. In the Turkish tissue paper market, toilet paper holds the largest share at 50%, followed by paper towels (kitchen towels and hand towels) at 30%, while facial tissues represent a smaller portion. The differences in product structure between China and Turkey also reflect the cultural and consumption habit variations between the two countries.

Third stop: EDANA, JHPIA, and CNHPIA Exchange and Sustainable Development Meeting
On October 16, European Disposables and Nonwovens Association (EDANA), Japan Hygiene Products Industry Association (JHPIA), and the China National Household Paper Industry Association (CNHPIA) held a successful meeting on international sustainable development at EDANA’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Representatives from each association shared insights on topics such as greenhouse gas regulations in various regions and methods for calculating the carbon footprint of hygiene products. The participants unanimously agreed to jointly guide the global hygiene products industry toward a green, low-carbon, and sustainable future. They also discussed the timing and location for the next meeting.

On October 10, Dr Cao Zhenlei, former Chairman of the China Technical Association of Paper Industry (CTAPI) and Director of the Senior Expert Advisory Committee, and Sun Bo, Deputy General Manager of Poly Sinolight Corporation and President of CNPPRI, led a delegation from CNPPRI to Finland and paid a business visit to Valmet. “2024 China International Paper Innovation and Development Forum” successfully held
On September 24, the “2024 Paper Technology Week”, co-hosted by the China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute and China Technical Association of Paper Industry, kicked off at the Wuhan International Expo Center in Hubei. This forum focused on current hot topics, exploring themes of “innovation, green development, intelligent manufacturing, market dynamics, and sharing”. It included four main sessions: keynote speeches, innovation empowerment, green intelligent manufacturing, and market insights.
“2024 China International Paper Technology Exhibition” opens in Wuhan
On September 25, the “2024 China International Paper Technology Exhibition” opened at the Wuhan International Expo Center. Covering an area of 20,000 square meters and featuring over 300 exhibitors, the event showcased the entire supply chain of the pulp and paper industry, from raw materials and products to components and equipment, as well as from pulp and paper production to printing and packaging.
