New Projects
The First Phase of Gansu Yusen New Material Technology Co., Ltd.’s Project Expected to Commence Production by the End of Next Year
In June 2023, Gansu Yusen New Material Technology Co., Ltd. launched a project to achieve the annual production of 360,000 tons of high-end tissue paper and products. It is a significant papermaking project invested by Baoding Yusen with a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan. At present, the project has received an investment of 52 million yuan and is scheduled to complete the first phase of construction by the end of November 2024 and put into full production in December.
TM61 of China Sichuan Hefeng Paper Co., Ltd. Successfully Starts Production
Sichuan Hefeng Paper’s TM61 was successfully commissioned on 28th November and went into production after being rebuilt by Shanghai Qingliang Industry Co., Ltd. This is the second tissue machine rebuilding project that Qingliang has provided for Hefeng, following the TM59 project. The upgrade includes a substantial increase of nearly 200m/min in speed, effectively boosting production efficiency while upholding premium paper quality. This endeavor additionally contributes

The TM3 of China Well Mind Paper (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. Put into Production after Rebuilding
The New Crescent Tissue Machine TM3 rebuilding project supported by China Shanghai Qingliang Industry Co., Ltd. for China Well Mind Paper (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. was successfully commissioned on 28th November and went into production. Through this upgrade, the capacity of the machine has been increased, and the production efficiency has been improved by expanding the range of products grammage. In addition, the steam and electricity consumption per ton of paper has been further reduced, saving about 7000t of steam and 3 million kWh of electricity per year.

China Hubei Golden Doctor New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. Successfully Signed an Agreement with China Zhengzhou Leizhan Technology Paper Machinery Co., Ltd. to Establish a Production Line for Pulp Equipment with an Annual Output of 200,000 Tons
Recently, China Hubei Golden Doctor New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. successfully signed an agreement with China Zhengzhou Leizhan Technology Paper Machinery Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, Leizhan will provide Golden Doctor 's base in Xiaogan, Hubei with a complete set of 200,000 tons per year stock preparation production line to prepare stock for the 8 tissue machines in the two workshops of the first phase. This production line, which is highly efficient, stable and environmentally friendly, can significantly improve production efficiency while reducing the cost, and at the same time provide a strong guarantee for the quality of the products.

Taison Bought Three Paper/Board Machine Approach Systems from Andritz
Recently, Andritz has reached a cooperation agreement with Taison (Suzhou, China) to provide paper/board machine approach systems for three different production lines at Taison’s factory located in the Suma District of Suzhou City, Anhui Province, China. The system can ensure stable stock flow, reduce operating costs, and promote green and sustainable development.
Kimberly-Clark (China) Co., Ltd. Has Accomplished a Photovoltaic Project in Its Plant in Tianjin, China
Recently, the photovoltaic project jointly launched by the Tianjin Plant of Kimberly-Clark (China) Co., Ltd. and Total Energy Co., Ltd. has been accomplished, marking another important milestone for Kimberly-Clark in the field of sustainable development. The photovoltaic project, which was officially launched on 12 May 2023, has a total installed capacity of 7.00652 MWp. It is expected to generate an average annual electricity output of nearly 7,100MWh, accounting for approximately 20% of the Tianjin plant's annual

electricity consumption. The project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 4,400 tons per year, making a significant contribution to the realization of a greener future.

China will speed up the establishment of a carbon footprint management system for products, according to a guideline released on November 22nd. The guideline, jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and four other government organs, said China would encourage social capital to invest in the construction of a commercial carbon footprint database, guide the financial institutions to gradually establish enterprise-level green and low-carbon evaluation systems based on product carbon footprints.

On December 18th, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Jishishan County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, China, causing casualties and property damage. Various enterprises including Hengan, Vinda, APP, Daddy Baby, Winner Medical, Purcotton, Kimberly-Clark, C-Bons, Bestee, Babycare, C&S, Shulai, Insoftb, ShuangDi Taohua, Yinyin, Botare, Deeyeo and Hulijia, etc. all donated supplies to the earthquake-stricken areas to support relief efforts.

The “Tissue Paper with Craftsmanship” （T/CTAPI 002—2022）, drafted by China Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd.（CPPRI）, was selected as one of the 100 group standards application demonstration projects in 2023 by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), according to the notice of group standard application demonstration projects released by MIIT on December 6th. This signifies that this standard has been recognized and given importance by the government for its innovation and application in the field of tissue paper, which will facilitate its broader application and is of great significance in promoting the development and upgrading of the tissue paper industry, thus meeting the needs of consumers.

China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CNPPRI) has been approved to be the Chinese technical counterpart of the International Organization for Standardization’s Technical Committee on Female Hygiene Products (ISO/TC 338) recently. In the future, CNPPRI will fully leverage its technical advantages and rich experience in the research and development of standards for female hygiene products and actively coordinate relevant units in China to facilitate the development of international standards in this field, in a bid to advance the international competitiveness of Chinese female hygiene products.
