Two Industrial Parks of Hengan Xiaogan Paper and Hygiene Products Will Be Put into Production Soon
On June 6, 2021, the construction of Industrial Park of Hengan Xiaogan Hygiene Products officially started, and Hengan Xiaogan Household Paper Project, the seventh paper base of Hengan Group in China, was signed simultaneously.
China Hengan’s new automated sorting equipment came online in Wuli 2C warehouse
On May 17, China Hengan Group’s new e-commerce 2C automated sorting equipment was officially launched in Wuli 2C warehouse. The operation of the automated sorting equipment in 2C warehouse brings advantages such as reduced operating costs, improved sorting efficiency, reduced damage, and reduced error and leakage rate, enhancing the level of sorting operations, matching high intelligence, and realizing automatic operation.

New Projects
At present, in the industrial park of hygiene products, the main body and infra-structure of the plant have been completed, and the road outside the plant is being hardened and greened. In the industry park of paper products, two production lines have been installed and the production equipment is being debugged. Previously, Hengan Group has laid out paper bases in Hunan and Anhui. With the production of two industrial parks of paper and hygiene products, Xiaogan will become the largest production base of Hengan Group nationwide.
The wide tissue machine supplied by Andritz to China Liansheng Pulp & Paper started up successfully
Recently, two PrimeLineTM crescent tissue machines, a pulp preparation system and an automation system, supplied by Andritz to Liansheng Pulp & Paper (Zhangzhou) Co., Ltd.’s factory located in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, China, were started up successfully. The two PrimeLineTM W 2000 tissue machines have a design speed of 2,000m/min and a width of 5.65m.

China Longyao Beimiao Paper successfully started up a 3500 crescent tissue machine from Baoding Weituo Paper-Making Machinery
The third phase of China Taison’s tissue paper project was completed and is expected to be put into operation in August
It is reported that the main structure of three steel structure plants of China Fujian Taison Industries Co., Ltd., located in Licheng District, Putian City, Fujian Province, China, has been completed in the third phase of the tissue finished-products and maternal and infant hygiene products project. The project is divided into three phases, with a total construction area of 98,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 1.2 billion yuan.
On May 29, China Longyao Beimiao Paper Co., Ltd. successfully started up a crescent tissue machine provided by Baoding Weituo Paper-Making Machinery Co., Ltd. in Xingtai, Hebei Province, which has a width of 3.5m,
a speed of 1,100m/min and a production capacity of 20,000 t/a.

After the completion of the whole project, it can produce 100,000 tons of tissue products and 1.8 billion pieces of hygiene products for maternal, infant and elderly care, and the annual output value can reach 1 billion yuan.
The project is divided into three phases, with a total construction area of 98,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 1.2 billion yuan.
China Yongfeng pulp and paper 150,000 tons of this color pulp technical transformation and capacity expansion project will be put into operation in June next year
Since the beginning of this year, Muchuan County, Sichuan Province, China has continuously accelerated the completion of the integrated technical transformation project of the Modern Bamboo Industrial Park. At present, the technical transformation and expansion project of Yongfeng pulp and paper 150,000 tons of this color pulp is progressing steadily and orderly, and is expected to be put into operation in June next year.
It is understood that the integrated technical transformation project of China's Sichuan Modern Bamboo Industrial Park includes the 100,000-ton household paper technical transfor-mation and expansion project that has been completed and put into operation, the 150,000-ton color pulp technical transformation and expansion project under construction, and the 100,000-ton special paper technical transformation project that will start construction in June this year. The paper technical transformation project and the 200,000-ton cultural paper technical transformation and expansion project.

Recently, the project of Haoyue Absorbent Hygiene Products Intelligent Manufacturing Production Base in Hubei, China is undergoing main construction and installation of equipment, and is planned to be put into production in September.
ExxonMobil partners with China Guanhe Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. to establish a nonwovens joint laboratory
Recently, ExxonMobil and China nonwovens manufacturer Guanhe Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement for a nonwovens joint laboratory in Shenzhen, China. Relying on the platform, the two sides will work together to carry out more in-depth exchanges and innovation support in the fields of nonwovens processing and testing, application development and personnel training.
The project is located in Xiaogan City, Hubei, China, covering an area of 115 mu, with a total investment of about 200 million yuan. It mainly focuses on disposable hygiene products such as baby diapers, adult diapers, menstrual pants, sanitary napkins, and wet wipes. After completion, it can produce 850 million pieces of adult diapers, nursing pads, baby diapers, pull-up pants, etc., with an output value of 1 billion.

Fuller completed its expansion project in Guangzhou
In May 2023, Fuller celebrated the official opening of its new technology center located in Yonghe Economic Development Zone in Guangzhou, China, and expanded its production and storage capacity at this location.Expansion construction began in March 2021 and completed in the fourth quarter of 2022.
With the expansion of 10,000 sqm of land, Fuller now has a 2,800 sqm technology center, a new adhesive production line and a double-layer warehouse with increased capacity.

Performance of Listed Company
Unicharm Net Sales Increased by 8.1% to Approximately RMB11.37 Billion in the First Quarter of 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, Unicharm sales reached a new record high, with net sales of about RMB11.37 billion, an increase of 8.1% year-on-year. The core business revenue was approximately RMB1.46 billion, a decrease of 5.1% year-on-year. And the net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was approximately RMB850 million, a decrease of 1.8% year-on-year.
China COCO’s net profit increased significantly by 466.92% to 11,097,200 yuan in the first quarter of 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, China COCO realized operating revenue of about 319 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.88%; net profit attributable to the shareholders of listed companies was approximately 11,097,200 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 466.92%.
During this reporting period, the company’s operating revenue remained basically stable compared with the same period last year. The company’s independent brand business adopted an aggressive approach to market expansion, seizing market share. The operating revenue of private brand products increased by 24.13% compared with the same period last year, and the company’s profitability recovered steadily compared with the same period last year.

China Yiyi achieved operating revenue of 284 million yuan in the first quarter of 2023
On April 20, Tianjin Yiyi Hygiene Products Co., Ltd. released the performance for the first quarter of 2023, achieving operating revenue of 284 million yuan, down 19.51% year on year; Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was -2,254,700 yuan, down 112.31% year on year.

On April 20, Tongling Jieya Biologic Technology Co., Ltd. released the performance for the first quarter of 2023, achieving operating revenue of 128 million yuan, down 29.24% year on year, mainly due to a decrease in sales of disinfectant wet wipes. Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 37,270,700 yuan, down 21.45% year on year.
China Yanjan achieved operating revenue of 314 million yuan in the first quarter of 2023
On April 20, Xiamen Yanjan New Material Co., Ltd. released the performance for the first quarter of 2023, achieving operating revenue of 314 million yuan, down 3.28% year on year; Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 6,951,200 yuan, up 11.65% year on year.

Imports and exports of tissue paper and hygiene products in China in the first quarter of 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, China’s tissue paper market was still mainly export-oriented. According to customs statistics, both the export volume and the export value of tissue paper increased significantly compared with the same period last year. The export volume was 217,300 tons, up 31.82% year on year, and the export value increased by 53.07% year on year.
The total import volume of absorbent hygiene products has been decreasing year by year, and its impact on the industry has been continuously decreasing. The export volume maintained steady growth, reaching 287,100 tons, and the total export volume was much higher than the import volume. Baby diapers accounted for the largest share of exports, reaching 41.78% of total exports.
The imports of wet wipes in the first quarter of 2023 showed a trend of simultaneous decline in both volume and price, while the export volume decreased slightly by 8.75% year on year, and the average price of exported wet wipes increased by 21.73% over the same period in 2022.
Chinese industry standard “Hygienic products mount” was approved for release
On May 22, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved the release of 586 industry standards and 53 industry standards in foreign languages, including the “Hygienic products mount” standard, which is suitable for the production, inspection and sale of absorbent mount for wrapping or isolating fluff pulp and/or SAP in hygiene products such as sanitary napkins, sanitary pads, diapers/diaper pads and pet under pads.

From January to May 2023, China Guangxi imported pulp from ASEAN 1.06 billion yuan
According to the statistics of China's Nanning Customs, from January to May 2023, China's Guangxi's import and export to ASEAN 137.06 billion yuan, an increase of 117.4%; among them, the import and export in May was 32.13 billion yuan, an increase of 100.9%, a year-on-year increase for three consecutive months. At the same time, the cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN paper industry was further deepened. From January to May, Guangxi imported 1.06 billion yuan of pulp from ASEAN, an increase of 25.4%; paper products exported to ASEAN 1.10 billion yuan, an increase of 63.7%.
China Yusen held Groundbreaking ceremony for Gansu Project
On June 6, China Yusen held a groundbreaking ceremony for its tissue paper, packing paper, nonwovens production project in the light Industry Industrial Park, Chongxin County, Gansu Province, China. After the completion of the project, it will become the largest papermaking base in Northwest China, with an annual operating income of 2.8 billion yuan.

On June 14, China Weifang Quality Conference was held. At the meeting, Shandong Technical standard Innovation Center was commended and notified, and China Chenming Group was selected as one of the first technical standard innovation Center in Shandong.

Unicharm (China) Installs Solar Power Generation Systems at Three Factories
Recently, Mr. Takahisa Takahara, CEO and President of Unicharm announced that they have installed new solar power generation systems at three local factories in China. With the installation of these solar power systems, 8.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity will be generated annually, and the three factories combined will reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 3,570 tons per year.

On May 29, China OK Technology announced to change the “tissue paper intelligent equipment production and construction project” to “new energy equipment production and construction and tissue paper intelligent equipment expansion project”. The unused raised funds of 409 million yuan for the project will be used for construction. After the completion of the project, the tissue paper intelligent equipment expansion project will mainly include the tissue paper intelligent equipment and the supporting packaging paper intelligent equipment.
