Hui Ching Lau officially took up the post of the CEO of China Hengan Group
On August 18, China Hengan Group announced that Hui Ching Lau, the executive director of the group, has officially taken up the post of CEO of Hengan International. Hui Lin Chit formally resigned as CEO of Hengan International and remained as vice chairman of the board of directors.

Recently, FORTUNE China.com released the list of Fortune’s China top 500 enterprises in 2021, and China Hengan International ranks 428th in the list.
Haoyue Personal Care is expected to achieve a net profit of 190 million to 210 million yuan in the first half of 2021
On July 26, China Haoyue Personal Care announced its performance forecast for the first half of 2021, with a net profit of 190 million to 210 million yuan, down 44.09% to 49.42% from the same period last year.
China Haoyue Personal Care analyzed performance changes as follows: due to the impact of the pandemic in the same period in 2020, the company changed to produce masks and other pandemic prevention supplies, which led to a substantial increase in the performance. With the effective control of the pandemic in China, the company has shifted its focus back to the absorbent hygiene products industry. In addition, affected by the pandemic, both the restrained transport capacity of global exports and the sharply risen freight rate had an impact on the company’s overseas sales and net profit.

In the first half of 2021, China Baiya’s net profit increased by 48.04%
Recently, China Baiya published its financial report for the first half of 2021. Its business revenue reached about 760 million yuan, an increase of 25.35% over the same period last year. The net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was about 132 million yuan, an increase of 48.04% over the same period last year.

In July, China released more than 160,000 tons of new capacity of tissue paper
According to the statistics of CNHPIA, in July 2021, seven new production lines of six tissue paper enterprises in China were put into operation, releasing 167,000 tons of new capacity per year. From January to July, a total of 78 tissue machines were put into operation in China, releasing 1.675 million tons of new capacity.
At present, China’s tissue paper industry has obviously shown a periodically overcapacity, but new production lines are still continously put into operation. Therefore, CNHPIA calls for more rational and cautious investment in new projects.

APP Group started up TM2 at the tissue base
in Rudong County, Nantong City, China
On July 26, the TM2 of the tissue paper project of Gold Hongye Paper Industry (Nantong, China) Co., Ltd. owned by APP Group was successfully put into production. The machine is supplied by Valmet, with a width of 3,600mm, a design speed of 1,600m/min and a design capacity of over 30,000t/a.

China Yunnan Nanen Sugar and Paper Company successfully put its TM2 into production
On July 30, the second Baotuo tissue machine of Xinping Nanen Sugar and Paper Company in Yunnan Province, China was successfully put into production. The BC1300-2850 crescent tissue machine has a design speed of 1,300m/min and width of 2, 850mm. It uses bagasse pulp, bamboo pulp and eucalyptus pulp as raw materials to produce parent tissue roll with low basis weight and high bulkiness.

Recently, Uzbekistan International Paper started up its 2850/1300 energy-saving crescent tissue machine provided by China Shandong Xinhe. It is one of the leading machine models of Shandong Xinhe, with the characteristics of being safe, environmentally friendly, easy to operate, green, energy-efficient and highly intelligent.
China Baoding Weituo provides tissue machine rebuilding for China Zhongxin Paper
On August 8, China Baoding Zhongxin Paper started up the tissue machine rebuilt by Baoding Weituo. The project is to rebuild the vacuum cylinder tissue machine into a crescent tissue machine with a width of 3.55 meters. The rebuilding project includes the key technologies of felt washing section, forming section, heat exchange and ventilation system, steam condensate water system, approach flow system and so on.

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation successfully produced polypropylene antibacterial nonwovens
On August 1, the first batch of 150 tons of new antibacterial nonwovens PPH-Y40J produced by China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation was successfully put on the market. PPH-Y40J has the advantages of easy processing, lower density, stable chemical property and mildew and bacteria resistance, and it can be used to produce medical and hygiene materials such as medical masks and operating gowns and hygiene products such as diapers and wet wipes.

In the first half of 2021, China’s export of tissue paper dropped, and the export of hygiene products still increased substantially
According to the statistics of China Customs, in the first half of 2021, the import volume and the import value of tissue paper in China increased, but the total amount was still small. The imports were primarily parent tissue roll. The export volume and the export value of tissue paper decreased obviously, and the export volume was about 316,300t with a year-on-year decrease of 31.43%. The exports were still primarily finished products. As for absorbent hygiene products, the import volume decreased while the import value increased. The import volume was 55,300t with a year-on-year decrease of 30.22%. The export volume was about 482,700t with a year-on-year increase of 18.56%. And the average export price increased by 4.28%. The import volume of wet wipes decreased by 45.05% and the export volume increased by 8.72% compared with the same period last year.

Chinese Hygiene products enterprises provide supplies for flood-hit areas in Henan Province
In July, China’s Henan Province suffered heavy losses due to torrential rains. Hengan, Kimberly-Clark (China), C&S, COCO, Tianjin Yiyi, Hubei C-Bons, Chongqing Baiya, Care Daily, Hangzhou Guoguang, U-PLAY Science and Technology, Qiaofei and other Chinese hygiene products enterprises donated money and goods to Henan Province. CNPPRI, China Foshan Kayson and Unicharm (China) donated 2,400 boxes of feminine hygiene products together to Henan Province.

Kao accelerates its layout of the high-end market to promote the revival of the baby hygiene products business in the Chinese market

China Tianjin Yiyi Sanitary Products Co., Ltd. intends to establish an industrial fund with Beijing Fangyuan Jinding Investment Management Co., Ltd. and other limited partners. They signed relevant agreements in Tianjin on August 6, 2021, to jointly invest in the establishment of the Suqian Tuobo Asset Management Partnership. YFY’s factory in Yangzhou, China temporarily suspended production due to the pandemic
On August 9, Yuen Foong Yu announced that its subsidiary YFY Paper (Yangzhou, China) Co., Ltd. needs to stop production from now on due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Yangzhou. The factory in Yangzhou is an important production base of YFY in China mainland, including three major parts of industrial paper, tissue paper and bio-pulp mills. There are four tissue machines in the factory with an annual capacity of about 100,000t.
