About Us

The year 2021 brought with it many new achievements for Ginkgo College. 2021 was a key year in the development of the school's new layout after its transfer—a milestone in Gingko College's plans for the future. During the year, every one of the teachers and students have made unremitting efforts to promote the development of school values, and with their efforts the College has taken a new step forward!
In the past year, we implemented several fundamental tasks, including conducting moral education, strengthening discipline development, and promoting educational and teaching achievements. In 2021, we were awarded a project at the Sichuan Provincial Practice Teaching Demonstration Center; three new undergraduate majors were declared; and five provincial first-class undergraduate courses were approved. Among these, "Tourism Marketing" was recommended by the Department of Education to participate in the evaluation of national first-class undergraduate courses. 4 projects on higher education talent training quality and teaching reform in 2018-2020 at Sichuan provincial level were successfully completed, one of which was recognized as a major project at the provincial level. This project was one of the first in Sichuan Province regarding the research and reform of new liberal arts, and one of seven projects of the Ministry of Education for collaborative education through industry-school cooperation. We have also made keynote presentations at the "Third Western Higher Education Forum" and the "Sichuan Private Education and Teaching Reform Seminar on the Cultivation of Applied Talents" to promote the college's special talent cultivation model to the whole province.
The college attaches great importance to its international development strategy and has

Gingko College has also been deeply involved in cooperation on mutual visits between teachers and students, joint teaching, joint research and academic upgrading. The college has deepened its ties with the Royal Thai Consulate General Chengdu and the Chengdu Office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and co-organized the first Thai Culture Day, further fostering international cooperation. The college will continue to follow the Belt and Road Initiative, by developing practical cooperation with more high-quality institutions in Eurasian countries.
Looking back on the year we have gone through together, we have pursued our dreams and achieved remarkable results. The upcoming year, 2022, marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of Ginkgo College. We will adhere to the fundamental task of education, taking the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation as our path forward. We will continue to uphold our college educational philosophy of "Achieving for Students and Serving Society". Following the college motto of "Cultivating Service Awareness” and “Learning by Practicing", the "Gingko Spirit" is fully demonstrated and will lead the college further.

How Do We Appreciate Beauty?"

Dr. Hayakawa concluded by quoting two lines from Ming Dynasty philosopher Wang Yangming to illustrate the importance of the "five senses experience":
When you do not look at a flower, the flower returns to silence with your mind.
When you look at a flower, the color of the flower becomes clear and you know that the flower is already in your mind.
Dr. Hayakawa introduced his hometown Yamanashi Prefecture to the students and faculty and shared the origins of Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture and Narita City.
