Citywalk among the mountains and waters of the Spring City, famous people praised it as "clearly the scenery of Jiangnan"

Jinan, also known as the Spring City, has a unique spring landscape in the world. Baotu Spring, the "No. 1 Spring in the World", is unparalleled in the world, and Daming Lake is the largest spring lake in the world. The "72 Famous Springs" have nourished for thousands of years, and the mountains, springs, lakes, rivers and cities complement each other. At the same time, Jinan is also a city full of poetry. The poet Du Fu wrote the poem "This pavilion on the right side of the sea is ancient, and there are many famous people in Jinan", praising the elegance of the famous people in Jinan; Li Qingzhao and Xin Qiji, famous poets in the Song Dynasty, are all Jinan cultural stars shining in the sky of history; Ji Xianlin, a great man of his generation, came out of Jinan; the famous writer Lao She once spent an unforgettable and pleasant time in Jinan and wrote a series of classic masterpieces. 

Walking among the mountains and rivers of a city is the best way to get close to the literary genes of a city. In the midsummer of July, everything is flourishing. On July 28, well-known cultural scholars Wu Gou, Bai Feng, Qian Huanqing and many readers set foot on the second stop of the "Landscape Reading 2024" Citywalk - Spring City Jinan. The event was co-organized by Guangxi Normal University Press and New Yellow River Jinan Times. In this citywalk close to the city, everyone praised Jinan's scenery as beautiful as the south of the Yangtze River.

It is precisely because of Jinan's beautiful urban landscape and profound cultural heritage that the second stop of the "Landscape Reading 2024" Citywalk event was chosen in Jinan. Starting from Jiefang Pavilion, strolling along the old streets and alleys, the three people exchanged views with the citizens participating in the event on the natural scenery and historical culture of the city of Jinan, and also talked about related topics such as literary creation and the protection of ancient books. Passing Heihu Spring, Furong Street, Wangfu Pond, Fuxue Confucian Temple, Qushuiting Street, and arriving at Daming Lake, the group was still not satisfied.

This is Wu Gou's first visit to Jinan. Jinan has a close relationship with Song culture, and Wu Gou, who studies Song history, pays more attention to cities closely related to Song culture. Two famous poets in the Song Dynasty, Li Qingzhao and Xin Qiji, were both born in Jinan. "Li Qingzhao is a talented woman, and her works have a strong literary appeal. Only the literary style of such great talents can move people's hearts for thousands of years, so I have a yearning for Jinan."

The spring water in Jinan is clear, numerous, and drinkable. He believes it is a valuable natural and cultural heritage. "Before coming here, I could never imagine that Jinan, as a northern city, has such abundant spring water, shady willows, and large lotus flowers. This is clearly the scenery of the south of the Yangtze River," Wu Gou said.

行走在城市的山水间，是与一座城市的文学基因最贴近的方式。盛夏七月，万物繁茂，7月28日，知名文化学者吴钩、白峰、钱欢青与多名读者一起踏上“山水阅读·2024”名家走读Citywalk第二站——泉城济南。本次活动由广西师范大学出版社与新黄河·济南时报联合主办。在这场贴近城市的Citywalk中，众人盛赞济南风光犹如江南般秀丽美好。 

Qian Huanqing is from Zhuji, Zhejiang. He has lived in Jinan for many years and has fallen in love with the mountains and rivers here. "Jinan is a city of springs, and as the saying goes, 'every household has a spring and every household has weeping willows.' Along the way today, every participant has deeply felt the cultural heritage of the city of Jinan, and also felt the charm of Jinan's springs and the affinity of Jinan's springs from an aesthetic point of view." Qian Huanqing said, "In such a noisy era, if we can get closer to springs, get closer to nature, read more books and history in nature, and appreciate the dual beauty of nature and humanity, it is something worth promoting."
