Tuocheng

Tuocheng is located in Longchuan County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is known as the First Ancient Town in Lingnan.

佗城位于广东省河源市龙川县，它被誉为岭南第一古镇。

Tuocheng, a treasure house of archaeological relics and has profound cultural deposits. There are more than 100 cultural relics and historic sites. Among them, Yuewang Well, Yuewang Temple and Kaopeng are the most distinctive scenic spots. The Yuewang Well was dug for water during the time when Zhaotuo served as a county magistrate in Tuocheng. Later, Zhaotuo became the king of Nanyue, so it was named The Yuewang Well. It remains remarkably well-preserved to this day, affording us the opportunity to witness how the ancient people drew water.

佗城历史文物众多，文化底蕴深厚，至今保留有一百多处文物古迹。其中，越王井、越王庙和考棚是最具特色的景点。越王井是赵佗任县令时居住在此地时的汲井，后来赵佗成为南越王，所以取名为“越王井”。现今还保存完好，可以亲身体验古人打水。

Kaopeng in Tuocheng is the only remaining place in Guangdong Province where the ancient people took imperial examinations. Upon entering Kaopeng, a sense of solemnity and dignity pervades the atmosphere. 

考棚是古时的科考场所，佗城里的考棚是广东省仅存的科考场所，走进考棚就能感受到庄严的氛围。

Yuewang Temple enshrined many heroes who had made contributions to Longchuan. In the main shrine, there is a bronze statue of Zhaotuo, the king of Nanyue, which vividly carved a sage who served his country and people. Kaopeng is where the imperial examination was held. 

南越王庙里供奉了许多为龙川做出贡献的英雄。在正殿有一座南越王赵佗的铜像，栩栩如生地刻画了一位为国为民的先贤。

Regardless, no words can fully capture the essence of Tuocheng's character which has been deeply imprinted with the marks of time. The best way is to visit and experience by ourselves.

Bailu Island Park 

Bailu Island Park is another ecological waterfront landscape park created by Heyuan High and New Technology Industrial Development Zone through the Great Greenway. Surrounded by rippling water, like a delicate ribbon adrift on the Dongjiang River, this location boasts refreshing and picturesque scenery. A gentle river breeze rustles through the air, while lush greenery surrounds you. Vibrant flowers dot the landscape, adding pops of color. The path ahead stretches out, flat and open, perfect for enjoying leisurely activities, snap-worthy check-ins, and shared memories.

白鹭岛公园是河源高新区贯彻万里碧道，着力打造的又一个生态滨水景观公园。白鹭岛四面邻水，宛如一条彩带漂浮于东江之上，这里江景沁人心脾；江风微微拂面；绿植错落有致；百花姹紫嫣红；道路平坦开阔，是休闲游玩、打卡分享的好选择。

Beside the river, the variegated bauhinia flowers blossom in spring, while the soft river breeze moves the feathery Pennisetum setaceum and the purple blooms of the salvia purpurea create a beautiful ribbon of color. 

在江边，绽放的宫粉紫荆花，装点了春天的色彩，羽绒狼尾草的长绒毛随着微微江风摇曳，紫花鼠尾草开出一片紫色花带。

Here, the most special thing is to watch the egrets. We can see them sometimes flying in flocks, sometimes standing quietly, as if admiring the beautiful scenery. White figures, like angels flying in the air. There are one or two solitary egrets roaming the lake, akin to a lone poet wandering along rivers and lakes. Some egrets hide in reeds, and occasionally egrets fly in and out, as if foraging for food, or frolicking.

Qizhai Lake is not that big. It is a lake that lies among the mountains. Riding can be finished in one or two hours. Outside the park, visitors can rent bicycles and enjoy agritainment at various restaurants. During the lychee ripening season, farmers are often generous enough to allow visitors to pick lychee for free. 

七寨湖并不大，是一个四面环山的湖，沿着公路骑行，一两个小时就能结束。公园外有自行车出租，也有山庄、饭店等，荔枝成熟的季节，热情的老板还会让游客免费摘荔枝。

In the mountains, we sometimes encounter cattle grazing near the river, a few sightseers with their canine companions, and groups of fish swimming in the river. They are lively and adorable. In spring, the roadside is full of Bauhinia. In addition to the fervent flowers, you can smell the heavy soil fragrance of the hillside. The brilliant part of the ride is downhill, where the wind whistles past you, the sparkling water beside you, and every now and then there are echoes all around you.

As we drove up to Wanlv Lake, the sight of its boundless waters stretched out before us. There are two destinations we will visit on this trip: Shuiyue Bay and Longfeng Island.

On the boat, I noticed that the lake's water was a clear shade of green, which is like a piece of emerald green. My gaze traced the ship's trajectory and settled on our initial destination, Shuiyue Bay.

上了船，才发现湖水是碧绿的，通透的，不含一丝杂质，非常像一块碧绿色的翡翠。我的目光顺着船开往的方向，望见了我们此行的第一个目的地水月湾。

On Shuiyue Bay, the island is covered with lush trees, as well as a small path made of wooden stakes and exquisitely decorated bamboo buildings. The edge of the island forms a beautiful arc. 

Unlike the picturesque tranquility of Shuiyue Bay, Longfeng Island is very lively. A stage stood in the middle of the isle, where actors performed a graceful dance and song to the delight of many sightseers who paused to watch. It is said that Longfeng Island's eastern section resembles a dragon, while the western part takes the shape of a phoenix. When viewed as a whole, the island appears as a mythical creature, with the dragon and phoenix flying and dancing in unison. As a result, the island is aptly named "Longfeng Island", which is also known as Love Island. 

与水月湾如画的宁静不同，龙凤岛非常热闹。在岛中央搭建了一个舞台。舞台上的演员随着音乐婉转歌唱，翩翩起舞，许多游客停下来观看。传说龙凤岛东部似龙，西部似凤，全岛似龙飞腾，随凤起舞，故名“龙凤岛”，也称为爱情岛。

Wanlu Lake, located in Dongyuan County, Heyuan, is named for its evergreen in all seasons. It is also the largest artificial lake in South China. The Wanlugu Scenic Spot is divided into two phases, with the first phase comprising of the lake resort and the original ecological wilderness area – which poses potential hazards to the body. The second phase, however, remains abandoned. The Wanlu Lake sinkhole is situated in the partially developed region of the second segment of the Wanlu Valley scenic area.

Heyuan is the most typical representative of Hakka culture. In this picturesque countryside of southern China, Sujiawei exudes a serene and laid-back atmosphere, with its majestic banyan tree, quaint old house, refreshing river breeze, soothing bamboo melodies, rustic folk songs, and untamed natural beauty.

Bordering Dongjiang River in the north and Jiushe River in the south, the village is located in the Heshui Township, 26km away from the city of Heyuan. Today the village is described as a “picturesque village in south china”, featuring old trees and houses, wild lands, bamboos and fresh air. Sujiawei is a settlement of descendants of Su Dongpo, where you can not only enjoy the beautiful rural scenery, but also experience the history and culture of Su family and Hakka people for more than 700 years.

苏家围位于广东河源市义合镇，距河源市区约26公里。东江和久社河在它的南面交汇，整个村子山水环绕，绿色相拥，环境优美，有“南中国的画里乡村”的美誉。苏家围是苏东坡后裔聚居地，在这里，不光可以欣赏到秀美的乡村风光，还能亲身体会苏氏家族和客家人七百多年的历史文化。

The Sujiawei Hakka Village Tourism Zone is a settlement of descendants of Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, with a history of more than 600 years since the clan opened. There are still 18 fully preserved fundy-style buildings in the village from the Ming and Qing dynasties, which is a typical Hakka residential cluster in Dongjiang.

苏家围苏家围客家乡村旅游区是宋代大文豪苏东坡后裔聚居地，自开族以来已有600多年历史，村内仍完整保留18座明、清时期的府第式建筑，是典型的东江客家民居群。

The huts built by Su's family are different from others. According to the deep history of the Su family, Su Tianrong, the seventh generation of Su Dongpo, discovered the Su family around this place. 86 years later, Su Tianrong's great-grandson Su Xiuhong settled here. During this period of history, the ancestors of the Su family all resided in mansion-style homes. This style of house left a lasting impression on their minds, leading the entire Su family to build their home in the same grand and ornate style.

苏家围的围屋有着和其他围屋不一样的地方。从苏家的历史深源而言，苏东坡的第七代孙苏天荣发现了苏家围这个地方，86年之后苏天荣的玄孙苏秀弘定居于此，在他们这十二代人中都是官室人家。在此历史时期，苏家先人都是出入官府第宅,他们都以府第式的房屋深居简出，府第式的围屋深深地烙印在他们的脑海里，所以整个苏家围都建成府第式的房子。

Entering the college from the south gate, crossing the Split-up Bridge to appreciate the campus, it is not so difficult to find out our college was characterized by the museum. In fact, the museum is more of a feature of our school library than of our school. Luo Wenguan Museum is located on the right side of the library with plenty of landscape paintings and animal molds in it. 

从南门进入学校，穿过分手桥欣赏学校，不难发现我们学校的特色——博物馆。其实，与其说博物馆是我们学校的特色，不如说是我们学校图书馆的特色。骆文冠博物馆坐落在图书馆右侧，里面有许多山水画和动物模具。

Once I entered the museum by mistake and couldn't help being immersed in it. I admired the context of the work, felt the beauty of the changes of the lines, and felt the unique feelings brought by landscape and calligraphy with my heart.
