The company is a large environmental protection power investment and operation platform under GCL Group, and an important power production enterprise in Jiangsu Province. Founded in 2002, the company is committed to efficient and environmental protection thermal power and energy integrated services and other fields of investment and operation management. Now the industry has been distributed in East China, North China, Xinjiang and Southeast Asia.

The company currently has two units of 330MW and two units of 320MW, and has a special coal wharf with double berth. As one of the main power plants of Jiangsu Power Grid and the only heat source in Taicang Port Development Zone and its surrounding towns, the company generates over 6 billion kW/h and supplies nearly 4 million tons of steam annually, making it the largest capacitycogeneration unit in southern Jiangsu.

Xinjiang Guoxin Coal Power Energy Co., Ltd. was established in September 2010, with registered capital of 160 million yuan and investment of 500 million yuan. It is not only one of "Xinjiang balanced" power supply projects in Zhundong, but also an important support power point for "Xinjiang Power transmission" supporting projects. The company's phase I construction project of 2 ×660MW supercritical coal-fired indirect air cooled generator set has achieved "double engine and double injection" since January 2018. It has made many achievements in the national 600MW class large unit competition and become the benchmark of similar Xinjiang power projects in Zhundong Region. It is also the benchmark of the same type of thermal power units in China.

GCL Binhai Power Generation Co., Ltd. was established on May 16, 2015, with registered capital of 190,000 yuan. It is jointly invested by Jiangsu Power Co., LTD. (51% of shares) and Zhongneng Power (Suzhou) Co., LTD. (49% of shares). It plans to build eight 1000MW efficient green and clean coal-fired power plants. In the first phase of the project, two 1000MW coal-fired power generation units started construction in September 2015. In 2017, the project achieved "double investment in one year" and won the highest award in the field of engineering construction -- "National Quality Project Gold Award". On September 26, 2022, Binhai Phase II 2 × 1000MW clean and efficient coal-fired power project began construction.

Gcl-indonesia (Plus) Power was established on February 25, 2016 as a joint venture between GCL-Indonesia Power Generation Co., LTD. (65%) of Taicang Port and Indonesia's national power company, Indonesia Power(35%), with a registered capital of US $99 million and a total investment of about US $396 million. The company's two 100MW net coal-fired power generation projects went into commercial operation on June 25, 2021. As the largest power point in West Kalimantan province, the project is a key national strategic project in Indonesia and a key project of the Belt and Road Initiative in Jiangsu Province.
