表演艺术类和多语言必选课
THISDL 2024-2025年共开设10门表演艺术类和多语言课内必选课,包括打击乐、音乐通识、戏剧、舞蹈、书法、2D创意艺术工坊、园林空间叙事设计、法语1、法语2、西班牙语1、西班牙语2、西班牙语3、ESL。每位同学从其中选择1门。如果对超过一门以上的学科感兴趣,可以参考ASA课后课的科目进行增选。THISDL offers a total of 10 art and multilingual elective courses from 2024 to 2025 school year, including percussion, general music, drama, dance, calligraphy, creative art studio, gardening spatial narrative Design,French 1, French 2, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, ESL. Each student chooses one of them. If you are interested in more than one subject, you can refer to the after-school courses for additional selection.

中学音乐选修 - 打击乐
Middle School - Percussion
打击乐乐器的种类非常多,在完成了小学阶段的打击乐基础学习后,我们将继续学习小军鼓、定音鼓、马林巴、木琴、颤音琴等打击乐乐器。同时配合交响乐团完成打击乐声部的演奏。通过进一步提高小军鼓的演奏技巧,比如双跳,滚奏,装饰音。能让学生驾驭好难度更大的作品。马林巴、木琴、的学习使我们中学生能接触到旋律打击乐器,并有机会组合成打击乐小乐队,完成小型打击乐合奏作品。每学期,我们将与交响乐团一起演出。打击乐学生将与管乐器的学生和老师一起排练作品。每学期交响乐团将举行现场音乐会。我相信没有比演出能更好激发学生学习音乐的热情了。

Middle School - Percussion
There are many types of percussion instruments. After completing the basic learning of percussion instruments in primary school, we will continue to learn other instruments such as snare drum, bass drum, marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone. We will also perform percussion parts with the symphony orchestra. By further improving our snare drum playing skills, such as double strokes, rolls, and ornamentation, students can handle more challenging works. Learning marimba and xylophone allows middle school students to be exposed to melodic percussion instruments and have the opportunity to form a small percussion ensemble to complete small percussion ensemble works. Every semester, we will perform with the symphony orchestra. Percussion students will rehearse works with wind instrument students and teachers. The symphony orchestra will hold a live concert every semester. I believe that there is no better way to inspire students' enthusiasm for learning music than through performance.

Middle School - General Music
The General Music Elective course is designed for students with a genuine interest in music with varying levels of ability and experience. Throughout the course, students will take part in a wide range of musical activities including, performance, composition, and musicology/aural activities. The course will allow students to gain an appreciation of the complete spectrum of music, and will enable students to discover areas of interest that go beyond simply learning performance skills on a particular musical instrument.
Students will work individually and collaboratively to learn how to create their own music, using some of the latest music software programs as well as perform music in solo and ensemble settings. Students with prior musical experience are encouraged to join this course and enhance their musical skills, albeit a high level of musical experience is not essential. All students with a genuine passion to create, perform, or analyse music are eligible to sign up for the Middle School General Music Elective course

Middle School - Drama
In this course, students will examine various aspects of characters through role-play, analysis, discussion, and classroom performance, working with scripts from diverse time periods and cultures. Students will learn the basic elements of drama and theater, including time and space, focus, emphasis, tension, role and character. Moreover, they will explore how to break down a scene from a character’s point of view, and also learn to sustain a character and build an interactive relationship between actor and audience. Final public performances may serve as a culmination of specific instructional goals. Students are required to attend and/or participate in rehearsals and performances to assess learning in the classroom.
Students will be assessed on three dimesions, making/creating, performing/presenting and responding/reflecting.

中国园林艺术作为世界造园艺术重要的一支,体现着中国传统文化的诸多审美特征。园林艺术是关乎时间与空间的体验性的艺术,与古代章回体小说的叙事方式、以及当代艺术的叙事表达有着诸多关联。
本学期将围绕园林艺术发展演变的历史、审美及观念等,向同学们教授相关的知识。以使得同学们更好的领略传统园林艺术的魅力。此外,课程的设定也邀请学生参与手工模型的制作,并加深对于传统造园艺术的理解。

Middle School - Gardening Spatial Narrative Design
As one of the most important gardening arts in the world, Chinese classical garden art embodies many aesthetic features of traditional Chinese culture. The art of gardening is an experiential art about time and space, which is related to the narrative style of ancient chapter books and the narrative expression of contemporary art.
In this semester, we will teach students about the history, aesthetics, and concepts of the evolution of garden art. This will enable students to better appreciate the charm of traditional garden art. In addition, the curriculum also invites students to participate in the production of handmade models and deepen their understanding of the traditional art of gardening.

Middle School - Creative Art Studio
本课程基于2D视觉艺术方向的项目制学习,学生将会基于艺术元素和设计原理,学习平面设计的相关基本原则,进行平面构成训练,会带领学生实操各类艺术设计实践项目,例如图案图形艺术、角色/形象设计、主题插画创作、海报设计、设计衍生品开发等主题课程。
以参与国际艺术赛事为辅线,根据课堂产出的艺术作品用于各类比赛投稿,培养学生们对艺术的热爱和创造力,提高观察力和表达能力,提供一个展示学生才华和创作成果的机会。

Middle School - Creative Art Studio
This course is based on project-based learning in the field of visual arts. Students will learn and explore the principles of design, engage in graphics composition training, and participate in various art design projects, including pattern arts, illustration design, character design and poster design.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in international art competitions by submitting their artwork created in class, providing a platform to showcase their talent and creative achievements.

Middle School - Calligraphy
书法课程秉承“继承传统,弘扬文化”的宗旨,以《道德经》、《易经》等经典为载体,分析每一个所学汉字的来源,分阶段练习笔法、字法、章法和墨法,兼之欣赏历朝历代名家名作,通过“问道经典”、“追本溯源”、“推求得法”、“汲古成篇”、“书学钩沉”等五个环节带学生领略篆、隶、楷、行、草等多种书体的前世今生。
五个环节分别如下:
1)问道经典:组合词意,明白内容,体悟哲理。
内容包括《道德经》、《易经》及其他诗词、书论等;
2)追本溯源:猜字解意,知其来处,感受温度。
追溯的源流包括每个笔画,每个偏旁部首,每个字的演变历程;
3)推求得法:临摹对比,晓得技法,下笔生花。
推求的方法包括笔法、字法、章法、墨法;
4)汲古成篇:集字创作,师取先贤,获得成就。
汲古的来源包括秦篆、汉隶、唐楷、二王行草等。
5)书学钩沉:穿插课堂,领略名作,调节氛围。
书学的参考包括历朝历代名家名作,以及书法史、书法理论、书法时评等。

Middle School - Calligraphy
THISDL calligraphy course adheres to the purpose of "inheriting tradition and promoting culture”.The curriculum mainly includes 5 parts:“learn from the scriptures”,“trace the origin”,“search for the ways”,“rediscover the history and recreate the new”,and“learn and explore the truth”.Through this course students can learn different kinds of scriptures(e.g. Tao Te Ching, I-Ching),skills(e.g.stroke,structure,organization,ink), styles (e.g. seal script,clerical script,regular script,running script,cursive script) and ancient calligraphers as well as their calligraphic works.
The five sessions are as follows:
1)Learn from the scriptures: combine the meaning of words,understand the content,and comprehend the philosophy.
Contents include Tao Te Ching,I Ching and other poems and book treatises.
2)Trace the origin: Guess the meaning of the character,know where it comes from,and feel what it expresses.
Tracing the origin includes understanding each stroke,each radical,thee volutionary history of each character.
3)Search for the ways: trace and compare,know the technique,and create your work.
The method of deduction includes rules of brushwork,rules of character writing,rules of composition and rules of ink.
4)Rediscover of the history and recreate of the new work:learn from the ancient scholars,create modern work,and gain achievements.
The sources of ancient works include Qin Seal Script,Han Clerical Script,Tang Regular Script,and Erwang Running Script.
5)Learn and explore the truth: appreciate masterpieces and understand their meaning.
References in calligraphy include masterpieces of famous artists from all dynasties,as well as calligraphy history,calligraphy theory,and calligraphy current commentary.

Middle School - Dance
舞蹈是以人体为工具,通过人体动作的语言,表达思想情感的动态艺术。舞蹈课会在学习过程中接触到多种舞蹈种类,如:民族舞、中国舞、现代舞、街舞、摇摆舞等。舞蹈蕴含着孩子们对于“真善美”的感受和亲和力。舞蹈教育对少儿的智力发展、道德养成、意志品质的培养、身体素质的提高、审美能力的培养等,具有课堂教育所无法替代的积极作用。舞蹈蹈课成员将参与学校大小型活动演出,展示自己的同时提升自信心。
本学期舞蹈课将在推动学生学习兴趣的基础上完成较专业化的舞蹈训练和舞蹈剧目的排练,其中包括:芭蕾基训、民族舞基训、街舞基训(根据本学期选课学生实际情况进行调整和选择)、良好体姿体态的养成、完成2-4分钟的舞蹈剧目(舞种据学生情况定夺)、展示演出。
舞蹈课上课要求
1, 对舞蹈有一定的学习兴趣及表演热情,具有合作精神;
2, 需按要求准备好舞蹈服、舞蹈鞋及舞蹈用品等。

Middle School - Dance
Dance is a dynamic art that uses the human body as a tool to express thoughts and emotions through the language of human movements. Dance classes will be exposed to a variety of dance types in the learning process, such as: folk dance, Chinese dance, modern dance, street dance, swing dance, etc. Dance embodies children's feelings and affinity for "truth, goodness, and beauty". Dance education plays an irreplaceable role in children's intellectual development, moral cultivation, cultivation of will quality, improvement of physical quality, and cultivation of aesthetic ability. Dance class members will participate in school activities of all sizes.
This semester's dance class will complete more specialized dance training and rehearsals for dance dramas based on promoting students' interest in learning, including ballet basic training, ethnic dance basic training, street dance basic training (adjusted and selected according to the actual situation of students in this semester's course selection), cultivating good posture, completing 2-4 minutes of dance dramas (dance types determined according to students' situation), and showcasing performances.
Dance class requirements
1. Have a certain interest in learning dance and a passion for performing, with a spirit of cooperation;
2. It is necessary to prepare dance clothing, dance shoes, and dance supplies as required.
中学多语言选修 - 法语
Middle School - French
法语的课程目标是帮助认识和使用已知的表达方式和日常需要的基本短语,学生可以回答和提出有关个人细节的问题,例如,你住在哪里,他/她住在哪里,他/她拥有的东西,他/她认识的人,等等。如果对方很有礼貌,很合作,说话很慢但很清楚,并准备好提供帮助,学生将能理解有关日常生活的简单句子。同时,通过学习这门课程,学生会知道如何介绍自己,比如描述家庭和环境,谈论自己的爱好。
此外,学习这门课程能够让学生使用法语对简单和实际的事情作出反应。在课程结束时,学生能够创建一个由不同的海报和视频剪辑组成的作品集,将其在法语课程中学到的语言模式付诸实践。

Middle School - French
French course aims to help students to recognize and use known expressions and fundamental phrases that are used in everyday needs such as be able to answer and ask questions about personal details, e.g., where you live and where s/he lives, things s/he has, people s/he knows, etc. Students will be able to communicate openly if the other person is polite, cooperative, speak slowly and ready for the communication help, understand simple sentences about daily life if someone speaks to then slowly and clearly. Also, they will know how to introduce themselves, to describe their family and their environment and talk about their hobbies.
In addition, their skills allow them to respond to simple and practical things. By the end of the course, they will have created a portfolio of different posters and video clips where they put into practice language patterns that they have learned through out your French course.
This French language course is a basic dynamic language class programmed and designed by French teacher. We use official books from the FLE A1 European French language framework which is established by French Ministry of Education. It will cover four abilities: speaking, listening, writing and reading.

西班牙语 DELE 培训课程 - Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) - 是一项针对非西班牙语人士的国际认证课程。
DELE 课程面向希望获得西班牙教育部颁发的国际西班牙语作为第二语言认证的初中和高中学生。
DELE 西班牙语课程将涵盖四种能力——写作、阅读、听力和口语。 将按国际A1、A2、B1、B2级别进行安排。西班牙语DELE课程旨在帮助学生将西班牙语作为第二语言或第三语言。 学生将遵循国际共同欧洲框架从 A1 级别到 B2 级别。 见图表如下:

Middle School - Spanish
The Spanish DELE program in Spanish -Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE)- is an international certification program for non-speakers of spanish language. The DELE program is address to Middle and High School students who would like to have the International Spanish as a Second Language Certification from the Ministry of Education of Spain. It will cover the four abilities - Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. Which will be arranged according to the international A1,A2,B1 and B2 level.The Spanish DELE program aims to help students acquire Spanish as their second language or third language. Students will follow the International Common European Framework from A1 level to B2 level. See chart as follows:
In so doing, our teacher will use Immerse Learning Method and Game-Based Learning Theory to help learners have a comfortable and suitable environment for learning. The classes will be done entirely in English and Spanish language. Students are advised to have a B2 level of English language to join the class. Class Assessments and follow-ups will be done in person with a previous appointment. Students are advised to ask for feedback at any time. Thus, being able to understand the topic and redo the homework. By the end of each level, students are able to have their own presentation and prepare their own video regarding the objectives of the class.

初中阶段是巩固英语基础和核心能力的重要阶段。ESL选修课程主要面向综合英语能力有所欠缺的学生,或者希望在英语学习上投入更多精力的学生。课程一方面为了帮助学生更好地参与外教英语课堂,一方面是为升入高中后满足对英语能力的高要求做准备。课程以原版教材和原汁原味的英语学习素材为依托,配合适合学生水平的练习题和补充材料,围绕学生的听说读写四项基本能力进行训练。此外,课程还将教授学生所处学习阶段的核心语法,句法,以及批判性思维。

中学多语言选修-ESL(English as a Second Language)
Middle School ESL
Middle school is an important stage for consolidating essential English skills. The ESL elective course is designed for students who have a lack of overall English proficiency or who wish to invest more effort in their English studies. The courses aim to help students better participate in English classes with a foreign teacher, and to prepare them to meet the high demand for English skills when they enter high school. The course is built on authentic textbooks and authentic English learning materials, along with practice questions and supplementary materials that are appropriate for the student's level and focus on the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition, the course teaches core grammar, syntax, and critical thinking at the student's stage of study.
Course Objectives (including but not limited to)

• Expand reading, develop sound reading habits, and learn reading skills
• Learn basic lexis and syntax

清香初中每周有一节体育课同时提供多个项目(PE Groups),学生需选择其中一个项目。本学年开设击剑(花剑)、击剑(重剑)、啦啦操、跆拳道、网球、高尔夫、体育舞蹈、乒乓球、武术、游泳,共10个项目。清香学子将从这10种中选择自己感兴趣的1种。请注意,您感兴趣的项目可能会因为人数限制而不能成功选上,请做好候选计划。下学年还可以继续尝试。如果您没有选上心仪的项目或者对超过一门以上的项目感兴趣,可以参考ASA课后课的科目进行增选。

花剑是一种击剑项目,所使用的的剑比较轻盈,剑身为长方形,仅当剑尖触及对方躯干时得分。由于花剑轻巧,有效击中面积小,因此对技术、战术尤为讲究,并且花剑拥有丰富的观赏性。
其中甩剑技术,确切的讲,应该叫甩剑刺技术。他需要手臂,手腕,手指的配合来完成,让剑身形成一定的弓形,然后让箭头在接触到目标的时候闭合,一定的时间后导电显示刺中。也就是说,要用亮灯的话,除了要满足剑头弹簧的压力以外,还要满足剑头闭合的时间。
课程目标:
1、让学生掌握花剑的基本知识,了解花剑的文化内涵。
2、掌握花剑的基本技术要领,懂得花剑规则,能够进行简单实战练习。
3、在学习过程中,培养学生机智敏捷的头脑、灵活协调的动作、优雅从容的气质、坚强果敢的的胆识。
4、锻炼心里素质、积极主动控制对手、突出综合能力强的特点。
5、让孩子体验不一样的快乐和激情,体验成功的快乐刺激奋发向上的斗志和热情,是一项不会产生任何运动伤害同时充满刺激的运动。

Foil is one of the three program in the Olympic fencing, this type of weapon is quite light, the blade has a rectangular section, and points are scored only when the tip touches the opponent's torso. Because the foil is light and has a small valid target area, it pays special attention to technique and tactics, and at the same time is very rich in elegant moves. Among them, the flick, which is high level technical movement in foil, needs the cooperation of the arm, the wrist, and the fingers to complete it, so that the blade forms a certain bow, and then the tip electric circuit closes when it touches the target, so that the light on the scoring machine appears.
Course Objectives:

大部分的国家都有国球项目。中国的国球为乒乓球,起源于英国的19世纪末,因为1959年的世界乒乓球锦标赛,中国参赛运动员为中国获得了第一个世界冠军,而使国人振奋,从此乒乓球运动在中国风靡,成为了事实上中国的国球的体育项目。
我们这门选修课旨在让学生了解乒乓球的基本功以及感受旋转的魅力和艺术。在整个课程中,学生将会在正手攻球、反手攻球、正手两点攻球、左推右攻和发球方面打下牢固的基础和装我基本的战术。
1、动作基础:最初我们会让学生进行手感的训练,例如垫球、托球,此阶段只会持续1-3节课的时间,后续学习正手攻球和反手攻球的动作技术,通过挥拍、多球练习、单球练习过渡到两人对打,为后续学习进阶动作打下夯实的基础。
2、步伐移动:当学生基本掌握正反手基础动作后就可以进行步伐学习,主要学习并步,先进行绕球台并步练习再结合挥拍,连贯动作后进行多球练习过渡到和老师单球练习,学习进度较为快的同学可以两两进行一防一打练习。
3、技战术:发球配合抢攻战术
4、规则与安全:学生将在本课程熟悉比赛规则和规定,强调课堂安全注意事项,礼仪与公平意识,并在上课过程中维护安全的训练环境和爱护器材。
5、体能训练:锻炼和提高学生整体体能及耐力,专项力量训练以及身体协调性练习,针对比赛中学生系要用到的肌肉群和身体部位进行针对的训练提高学生的反应及击球质量。
6、单元测试及期末考核:以月为单位学生进行每个阶段的技能考核,在最后期末给一个终结性测试,以此督促学生积极训练,掌握技能。
在本课程结束时,学生将对乒乓球部分基本功、规则礼仪和竞赛有了扎实的了解,此外,他们将对课堂记录以及团队配合有了深刻的认识。

中国武术项目在学习过程中的内容主要包括:武术基本手型,基本手法,基本步型,基本步法,基本腿法以及武术基本动作组合,武术基本拳术,武术动作的实践应用,常用兵器的使用技法以及体能等内容的学习。
1.武术基本手型内容包括:拳、掌、勾手。学生通过课堂教学直观的了解和学习到正确的握拳,推掌以及勾手的方式方法。
2.武术基本手法内容包括:冲拳、劈拳、架拳、推掌、劈掌、砍掌、穿掌、架掌、亮掌、插掌、盖掌、勾手。通过课堂学习,学生能够了解到武术丰富的手法,同时也能很好的掌握武术到这些手法动作,同时通过动作解析与实践练习,让学生充分了解我输技击手法的多样性。
3.武术基本步型内容包括,弓步、马步、朴步、歇步、虚步等。通过课堂学习,学生可以直观的了解到武术丰富到步型以及通过课程掌握这些步型。
武术基本步法内容包括:上步、跟步、垫步、并步、跪步等。学生通过课程,较好的掌握基本步法后,对于拳法等练习起到了重要的辅助作用。
4.武术基本腿法内容包括:正踢腿、弹腿、蹬腿。学生可以通过课程学习较好的掌握基本腿法,并通过动作解析及实践,直观的了解和运用基本腿法。
5.武术基本动作组合:是将武术基本拳术中的动作拆分开来进行学习,学生通过课程能够较好的理解并掌握这些武术动作。
6.武术基本拳术内容包括:五步拳、初级一路长拳。这两个拳术融合及涵盖了武术的基本手型、手法、步型、步法、腿法等。通过基本拳术的练习,学生能够更好的巩固所学的基本内容,并且在拳术的练习过程中,能够很好的锻炼学生的上下肢以及手眼的协调性。

以下为基本学习内容,我们会根据学生不同的能力等级划分班型
自由泳:手臂交替划水,腿部做打腿动作,呼吸要求颈部转头向一侧呼气,换气时颈部向另一侧转头深吸气。
仰泳:躺平,手臂上下划水,腿部同样做打腿动作,呼吸从嘴巴出气,同时吸入空气。
蛙泳:双臂先伸直后快速合拢向前,然后两腿做蹬腿动作进行推进,呼气在划水的过程中进行。
蝶泳:双臂同时进行上举后划水,在臀部腾空并用肚子翻起一定的角度,两臂快速合拢向前弯成"抱球式",立刻在胸前将双臂分开,交替摆起。呼气在两次划水之间进行。
出发转身到边:跨过起跳台,根据距离大小和技能等级选择不同的出发方式,到达一定距离后进行转身,继续以所学的游泳姿势前行。
在本课程结束时,学⽣将对游泳运动有⼀个扎实的了解,甚至可以具备参加全国级比赛的能力。此外,他们还将培养运动精神、纪律性、专注⼒和团队合作能⼒,并将其延伸到游泳之外的运动与生活上。
