When girls play basketball, wear masculine clothes, or have a passion for motorcycles, their coolness is admired; yet when boys jump rope, wear skirts, or enjoy playing with dolls, why does it seem odd, and even attract peculiar glances? Society's excessive affirmation of masculine qualities and the neglect of feminine traits are, in essence, a denial of gender equality.
Stereotypes act like invisible shackles, making it difficult for us to listen to our inner voices and gradually lose our sense of self. It's time to declare loudly: Don't define me by my gender! Gender should not be the measure by which we judge a person; true evaluation should be based on individual abilities, talents, and character.
