National Lecture Tour on Standardized Diagnosis and Management of Infantile Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders Was Successfully Held

Guideline writing experts, leading researchers, and industry big names such as Dr. Gong Sitang, Prof. Xu Chundi, Prof. Cai Wei, Prof. Mao Meng, Prof. Wang Baoxi, Dr. Chen Jie, Dr. Huang Zhihua, and Prof. Wu Jie delivered lectures to over 500 key doctors nationwide.

In order to comprehensively enhance the professional brand recognition of Enfa Gentlease, our medical sales team successfully launched the 2024 National Lecture Tour on Standardized Diagnosis and Management of Infantile Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders in collaboration with the China Healthy Birth Science Association and the Guangzhou Medical Doctor Association. Themed on “Translating Expert Insights into Enhanced Brand Recognition”, the tour commenced in March 2024 across six major cities including Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, and Xi'an.

The lecture tour facilitated authoritative interpretation of and in-depth discussions on the latest guidelines and diagnostic strategies for infantile functional gastrointestinal disorders, as well as the clinical application of hydrolyzed formulas. Through academic lectures, roundtable discussions, live Q&A sessions, and case sharing, experts emphasized nutritional management as a primary intervention for these disorders. For infants unable to breastfeed, both domestic and international experts recommended the use of partially hydrolyzed/low lactose formulas like Enfa Gentlease to alleviate symptoms. Several young doctors shared their clinical experiences with Enfa Gentlease, highlighting its effectiveness in relieving digestive discomfort. They emphasized that the easily digestible formula served as a valuable tool for pediatricians and a high-quality solution eagerly sought by babies with digestive issues and their families. The lectures sparked lively discussions on the clinical application of hydrolyzed formulas, with the statement that “Enfa Gentlease provides rapid relief from digestive discomfort within 24 hours” receiving high praise from experts and attending physicians.

The medical team also introduced the Mead Johnson Scientific Nutrition Solutions. They underscored the company’s commitment to providing formulas suitable for special feeding needs, such as Enfa Gentlease in the digestive field, as well as routine formulas like Enfinitas and Enfamil to meet the comprehensive nutritional needs of healthy infants and toddlers. Regional sales managers from four major areas delivered speeches, reaffirming Mead Johnson’s dedication to offering “science-based nutrition with proven benefits” and supporting the healthy growth of infants and toddlers alongside pediatricians through comprehensive scientific nutrition solutions.

Our medical sales team has been leading the proactive promotion of specialized formulas. Following the successful national lecture tour, the medical team will continue their efforts to conduct doctor education activities, including departmental meetings and roundtable discussions, in cities nationwide, aiming to bolster Enfa Gentlease’s brand recognition within professional circles and establish a seamless process from recommendations by medical professionals to the sales of specialized formulas. Simultaneously, consumer activities focusing on digestive discomfort have been being implemented from March to April. These include free clinic consultations, premium mommy classes, and diverse events designed to engage new Enfa Gentlease customers through a coordinated approach blending medical expertise and marketing strategies.
The specialized formulas market is a high-growth segment in infant nutrition, with hydrolyzed products valued at approximately RMB 3 billion in China. Enfa Gentlease, capitalizing on its unique product advantages, strong professional endorsements and the synergistic impact of targeted medical and marketing initiatives, is poised for significant sales growth across all channels in 2024!

To undertake the Women's Day topic of the heat, the sales department launched new consumer education theme activities, the new GB products are also in the activity with a new look to meet consumers around. Through the support and guarantee of sales department, marketing, finance, procurement and various departments of the company, the theme roadshow and medical camp mother class in March successfully landed and were loved and supported by consumers!

In this March, Mead Johnson's "Wild Journey" consumer theme roadshow visited 150 cities in 27 provinces and regions across the country, and 2,000+ theme roadshows successfully landed. With the concerted efforts of all sales colleagues, we successfully replaced additional resources such as ground pile, additional sign-in gift and electronic screen wheel casting with customers in the large-scale roadshow in Zhengzhou. At the same time, under the on-site interaction and NC's explanation, consumers and babies also learned about the powerful product force after the upgrade of Mead Johnson's new national standard in the "wild journey". The March roadshow successfully recruited 16,000+ NUAs, signed up 90,000+, and Offtake 330k+.

In April, Mead Johnson also ushered in the brand month of its sub-brand, Enfamil. The consumer theme roadshow will be launched around the new theme of "Wisdom riding the wind, flying growth", and join hands with the national intangible cultural heritage Cao's kite to carry out a new attempt of cooperation between different industries. To meet the fashion needs of the new generation of mothers, Mead Johnson medical team conducted nearly 700 aesthetic education classes for the new generation of mothers after 90/95 in 10 cities around the country during the 3.8 period, focusing on new keywords

such as "independence", "appearance " and "enjoyable". Successfully delivered beauty skills to about 20,000 beauty moms, while attracting more than 3,500 NUA for the brand. Mead Johnson pays tribute to every woman who is brave enough to become a mother!

Under the cooperation of the Marketing Department and the multi-department of omni-channel sales, 200 offline stores have taken the lead in completing the image renewal work of terminal stores in April, and there are still more benchmark image stores will be landed all over the country.

On April 18th, the signing and launching ceremony of the "Children's Nutrition Strategic Cooperation Project" of Mead Johnson Nutripower X Hipac was held at Hipac Hangzhou headquarters.

This marks that Nutripower products will officially enter the Hipac platform.

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is for anyone who wants to improve processes and structures in their department and solve problems.

Mario started his career in 1984 as a Shipper Receiver in the warehouse. A couple of years later, he became the Warehouse Supervisor and currently he is still working in that department as Warehouse Manager.

Next to this he was for a short period focusing on Import & export and Facility & Security, but he is on his best in the warehouse. His blue MJN heart is driving him everyday to make the best baby food of the world. He is always willing to support and doesn’t hesitate to improve!

By delivering added value to the customer and eliminating waste in processes using Lean. By making processes more robust by reducing variation using the Six Sigma DMAIC approach.

The improvement methods Lean and Six Sigma complement each other perfectly. That's why they are often mentioned together in one word.
After the training and the associated theory exam, the participants worked in small groups on improvement projects. This has yielded great results such as higher product quality, 

more effective root cause analyses in the deviation management process, fewer administrative corrections, and an improved planning process with less waste. Well, done and thus now, after completion, the well-deserved certification!

In response to the upgrading of the organizational structure to enhance the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the medical sales team, the headquarters medical sales joint HR talent development, organized the first enabling project of the medical sales team from April 17 to 19, through the Q1 review and Q2 strategy, key customer management and professional knowledge empowerment, to further enhance the professional ability of the team and help achieve good results!

At the beginning of the meeting, Tao Zhou, general manager of omni-channel sales, stressed the core value of the team, pointing out that the medical sales team is not only an important support for the brand "mind", but also a key force for us to win the market.

Performance review and planning

Subsequently, under the leadership of Ye Yang, Head of medical sales, the workshop reviewed the performance of the medical sales team in Q1, summarized the achievements and shortcomings, and deeply discussed the sales strategy for Q2. 

The medical Marketing Department also communicated market strategies and plans through data analysis and market interpretation. The team has clarified the future development direction and goals, providing a strong direction for the next work.

The workshop also specially arranged a well-known child consumption coffee, Professor Zhenyu Shen "How to Manage customers from the perspective of Doctor and Patient Communication", 

led everyone to learn milk protein allergy and related special knowledge, and explained 5R communication skills with simple cases. The participants said that they were full of harvest and benefited a lot!

It is worth mentioning that to improve the combat effectiveness of the team, the organization specially arranged the "Key customer Management" course. 

Through the wonderful explanation and on-site leadership of external experts, every member of the team sorted out their key customers according to Mead Johnson's customer stratification and exported their real customer management plan to implement the 2024 customer management plan! The on-site trainees were highly engaged and gave 100% course satisfaction through feedback after class!
