Dear CWA Students and Parents,

         I cannot believe we are already at the end of Semester One! They say time flies when you are having fun, so I think that says something about how busy the Student Life Team have been and how active our students are. To improve is to move forward with confidence and a spirit of adventure, and that is something that has certainly been a feature of this academic year, from the delights of the Field Trip to sports tournaments and the highly active Club program that our teachers are now so heavily supporting, CWA Student Life truly has something for everyone to be involved with and passionate about.

        We are already looking forward to a powerful start to 2024 and welcoming the challenges and opportunities that the Year of the Dragon surely promises those who are willing to embrace it. Therefore, it is with a heart full of optimism and good will that I invite you to share the next part of our journey together as we bid farewell to last year stride into the new one!

我不敢相信第一学期即将要迎来尾声！ 人们常说，光阴似箭，当你投入其中时更是如此。，这也恰好证明了学生们的活跃，和学生处团队的忙碌活跃。我们以坚定的信心和无畏的冒险精神向前迈进，无疑，这是本学年的核心特色。从实地考察的乐趣，到体育比赛的激烈对抗，再到老师和同学们积极参与的各类社团活动，学生处团队始终鼓励着每个华华子积极参与，满怀热情。

我们已经迫不及待地期待2024年能有一个精彩的开端，并欢迎龙年为那些敢于迎接挑战、抓住机遇的人带来好运。因此，我带着满心的乐观与善意，诚挚地邀请您与我们一同踏上新的旅程。让我们告别过去的一年，昂首迈向新的一年！

双旦晚会

在温馨的冬日里，一年一度的双旦晚会如约而至。这场晚会，如同一个缤纷的梦境，将欢乐与温情洒满了整个校园。晚会现场，流光溢彩，气氛热烈非凡。精心布置的场地、充满创意的节目，每一个细节都彰显了组织者的用心与巧思。无论是激情四溢的舞蹈、还是动人心弦的歌声，每一个表演都让观众沉浸其中，仿佛置身于一个艺术的天堂。

这次双旦晚会，不仅仅是一场欢乐的盛宴，更是一次心灵的洗礼。它让同学们在紧张的学习之余，找到了放松与快乐的时刻，也让同学们在互动与交流中，感受到了彼此的温暖与支持。

感谢学生会同学们的辛勤付出，是他们用智慧与汗水，为同学们编织了一个美好的夜晚。感谢每一位参与表演的同学，是他们用才华与激情，点亮了整个晚会。

愿每一个美好的瞬间，都能成为我们心中永恒的记忆。愿未来的日子里，我们能够继续携手同行，共同创造更多美好的回忆。

In the cozy winter, the annual New Year's Eve party brought joy and warmth to the entire campus. The vibrant venue and creative performances, thanks to the diligent student council members and talented performers, made it a beautiful night. Beyond a festive banquet, it provided students a moment of relaxation and joy, fostering warmth and support through interaction. 

May every beautiful moment become an eternal memory in our hearts. May we continue to walk hand in hand in the future, creating more beautiful memories together.

FP STEAM project-Model construction

STEAM课程，整合了科学、技术、工程、艺术和数学。强调跨学科学习，鼓励以项目为基础的学习，注重全球视野。该课程旨在为学生在科学、技术、工程、艺术或数学领域的职业生涯做好准备，培养个人和专业技能。

STEAM Course, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, it encourages project-based learning with a global context. The program prepares students for STEM and arts careers, fostering personal and professional skills. Assessments include a mix of internal projects and external evaluations. The course emphasizes language development and offers a holistic education with a real-world focus.

In the IB Visual Arts class, the studio transforms into a dynamic arena for creative exploration and expression. Students embark on a journey of visual storytelling, experimenting with diverse mediums, techniques, and styles. The classroom buzzes with artistic fervor as budding IB artists breathe life into their distinct perspectives on canvas. Each brushstroke or pencil mark contributes to a collaborative masterpiece, showcasing the richness of ideas and individual artistic visions. Within the IB Visual Arts curriculum, students not only hone their technical skills but also delve into the profound realms of visual communication, mastering the art of conveying emotions through their creations.

在IB视觉艺术课堂上，教室变成了一个充满创意探索和表达的动态空间。学生们踏上了视觉叙事的旅程，尝试使用各种媒介、技巧和风格。教室里充满了艺术的活力，渴望成为IB艺术家的学生们在画布上呈现出各自独特的视角。每一笔刷触或铅笔的印记都为一个集体杰作贡献，展示了丰富的想法和个体艺术愿景。在IB视觉艺术课程中，学生们不仅磨练技术技能，还深入探讨了视觉传达的深层领域，掌握了通过创作表达情感的艺术。

Model United Nations 模拟联合国

学校MUN（模拟联合国）社团负责人Jim老师带领社团成员，前往上海参加模拟联合国竞赛。参与这次活动的学生们不仅在国际事务和全球议题方面获得了深入的理解，还在演讲、团队协作和谈判技巧方面取得了显著进步。这次活动不仅仅是一个竞赛，更是一个促使学生们走出舒适区，面对挑战并展示才华的机会。我们期待着在学校分享这次宝贵的经历，激励更多的学生积极参与未来的模拟联合国竞赛和类似的全球性活动。

Led by Mr. Jim, the leader teacher of the school's Model United Nations (MUN) club, we traveled to Shanghai to participate in the Model United Nations competition.  This event served not only as a competition but also as an opportunity to challenge students to step out of their comfort zones and showcase their talents. We look forward to sharing this valuable experience at school, inspiring more students to actively participate in future Model United Nations competitions and similar global events.

Prevention of winter infectious diseases

冬季传染病预防

在早晨的集会上，我们学校的护士强调了预防冬季传染病的重要性。她强调良好的卫生习惯、定期洗手以及适当着装是减少疾病传播的有效措施。护士鼓励学生随时了解疫苗接种信息，并在出现症状时及时就医，培养同学们在寒冷季节中对健康的关注。

In the morning assembly, our school nurse emphasizes the prevention of winter infectious diseases. She highlights the importance of good hygiene, regular handwashing, and dressing appropriately for the weather to reduce the spread of illnesses. The nurse encourages staying informed about vaccinations and seeking prompt medical attention if symptoms arise, fostering a community commitment to health during the colder months.
