Blooming Years: The Journey of CWAers

It’s no coincidence that blossom is the theme of our newsletter, as we reach the end of our academic year. As we are lucky enough to witness the beautiful blossoming of trees and flowers around us, we can also bear witness to the blossoming of our students- in each grade. 

这份时事通讯以“绽放”为主题，恰逢学年结束之际，并非偶然。当我们有幸目睹周围树木和花朵的美丽绽放时，我们也见证了每个学生的成长与蜕变——从每个年级的学生身上都可以看到这一点。

FP students have so shown so much intuitive and energy, positively glowing with IB-orientated direction. DP1 have demonstrated such maturity as they have settled into the business of gaining serious academic progress and rigor, whilst DP2 blossomed in a spectacular fashion, with many students over-achieving and pleasantly surprising the whole school community with their amazingly high university offers. Each grade has blossomed in their own way, demonstrating their individualism, fortitude, resilience and character in a manner that only gives us Inspiration for what CWA can achieve, at university, and the wider world.

FP（Foundation Program）的学生们展现了极强的直觉和活力，他们积极朝着IB方向努力，闪耀着光芒。DP1的学生们则表现出了成熟的一面，他们已经稳定地投入到追求学术进步和严谨态度的道路上。而DP2的学生们更是以惊人的方式绽放，许多学生成绩斐然，让全校师生都为他们收到的令人惊叹的高水平大学录取通知书感到惊喜。

每个年级的学生都以自己的方式绽放，展示了他们的个性、毅力、适应力和品格，这让我们对世华在大学乃至更广阔的世界里能够取得的成就充满了期待和灵感。

在CASA与沙家浜小学的最后一堂课程里，CWA的小老师们巧妙地将孩子们的创意付诸实践，通过3D打印机精心打造出了火箭的零件。当这些零件呈现在眼前时，学生们欢呼雀跃，迫不及待地投入到了火箭的组装之中。他们亲身体验着动手实践的喜悦与满足，那份成就感溢于言表。

随着火箭的组装完成，大家怀揣着期待，一同移步至宽阔的操场，准备进行激动人心的试飞环节。其中，一组小朋友的火箭表现尤为抢眼，它如流星般划破天际，飞升至六米之上的高空，赢得了在场所有人的热烈掌声与赞叹。

此次活动不仅为孩子们揭开了火箭设计与制作的神秘面纱，更在他们心中点燃了对科学和工程的热情之火。他们学会了如何动手实践，如何与他人合作，更在探索与尝试中收获了无尽的乐趣与成长。

In the last class at Shajiabang Elementary School, the young teachers from CASA skillfully brought the children's creativity to life, carefully crafting rocket parts using 3D printers. As these parts were presented, the students cheered and eagerly began assembling their rockets. They experienced the joy and satisfaction of hands-on practice, and their sense of achievement was evident.

Once the rockets were completed, everyone moved to the field, ready for the exciting test flight. Among them, a group of children's rocket performance stood out particularly, soaring through the sky like a meteor, reaching a height of over six meters, earning thunderous applause and admiration from everyone present.

This activity not only unveiled the mysteries of rocket design and production for the children, but also ignited their enthusiasm for science and engineering. They learned how to practice hands-on, how to collaborate with others, and gained immense fun and growth through exploration and experimentation.

多元日

HEY DAY

在世华校园，多元文化、团结精神和包容心交相辉映，形成了独特而温馨的氛围。“多元日”活动的举办，再次点燃了我们对于多元文化的热爱和集体力量的认同。

活动当天，在宽阔的操场上，飞盘在空中划出优美的弧线，每一次成功接住都伴随着热烈的欢呼，展现了师生间的默契与团结。

与此同时，彩虹跑也为校园带来了一片欢乐。五彩斑斓的粉末在空中飘扬，师生们笑容满面地奔跑，尽情享受着这难得的快乐时光。

在“人生故事馆”环节，老师或同学们纷纷化身为主讲人，用真挚的话语分享着他们的人生经历。从挫折中崛起的力量，追逐梦想的坚持与热情，每一个故事都在传递着积极的信息，鼓励学生们勇敢前行，不断超越自我。

最后，一场清凉的夏日水枪大战将活动推向了高潮。师生们手持水枪，在操场上展开了一场别开生面的“战斗”。水花四溅、欢声笑语。

在未来的日子里，我们将继续秉持“多元”价值观，共同创造一个更加美好、和谐的校园。

CHINA WORLD ACADEMY

At CWA, multiculturalism, solidarity, and inclusiveness shine together, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The holding of the "Hey Day" event has once again ignited our love for multiculturalism and our recognition of collective strength.

On the day of the event, on the wide playground, the frisbee made a beautiful arc in the air, and every successful catch was accompanied by warm cheers, showing the tacit understanding and unity between teachers and students.

At the same time, the color run also brought joy to the campus. The colorful powder was flying in the air, and the teachers and students ran with smiles on their faces, enjoying this rare happy time.

In the "Human Library" session, teachers or students took on the role of speakers, sharing their life experiences with sincere words. The strength to rise from setbacks, the persistence and passion to pursue dreams, each story conveyed positive messages, encouraging students to move forward bravely and constantly surpass themselves.

Finally, summer vibe pushed the activity to a climax. Teachers and students held water guns and launched a unique "battle" on the playground. Water splashed and laughter filled the air.

In the days to come, we will continue to uphold the values of "diversity" and work together to create a better and harmonious campus.

In the British Biology Olympiad 2024, DP1 students Sophia Jia and Maryline Li achieved remarkable success, with Sophia winning the prestigious Global Gold and Maryline earning the esteemed Global Bronze. Their outstanding performance highlights their exceptional knowledge and dedication to the field of biology. This accomplishment not only brings honor to themselves but also to their school, showcasing the high level of academic excellence and commitment fostered within their educational environment.

Their outstanding performance in representing and defending their assigned countries' positions highlights their deep understanding of global issues and commitment to excellence. This victory is a testament to our team's collaborative spirit and intellectual prowess.
