after POC. This is a new store located in the South Island of New Zealand. I arranged the trip in advance, flew there with the client, stayed in the same hotel and rented a car together for the trip. Prior to that, my interactions with clients were single-frequency job requirements. It is like a date between lovers. Although it can also enhance the relationship, the occasion is slightly formal and the time is slightly shorter. And this joint trip to the store installation was like a joint trip where we had an extended contact in an informal occasion. The terminal to the plane, the rental car to the hotel and the store to the restaurant had our companionship. After going through a series of hardships and joys together, including newcomer training, store installation, environmental decoration and opening of the new store, we have already established a deep emotional connection. At this time, I know that this "relationship" is no longer unilaterally active.
The most basic requirements for respect are politeness and etiquette, such as punctuality and trustworthiness. On this basis, it is necessary to understand the habits or preferences of the other party and adjust the treatment accordingly to match. Finally, it is necessary to discover the outstanding points or achievements of the other party in the incident, and sincerely learn or praise. Relationship is not a competition, and mutual respect and appreciation can make the relationship go long and far. I especially remember meeting with Client C's contact at their headquarters for the first time. I arrived at the client's headquarters 20 minutes earlier than the agreed time due to the long distance and uncertainty of the travel time. In order not to put pressure on the other party but also to show my punctuality, I informed the client of my arrival by text message 5 minutes before the

A good relationship can help you win a soulmate, while a "continuous innovation" relationship can help you win a KA client. When we have achieved continuous client-centric innovation in this relationship according to the three levels of needs, we can reap the trust, understanding and support of our clients. Trust is to believe in your professionalism, understanding is to understand your helplessness, and support is to meet your needs.
There is no end to the relationship with our clients, and the way we get along is not always the same, which is the characteristic of "continuous innovation" relationship. However, as long as we are client-centric, start from client needs, and unswervingly and variously "have a relationship" with clients, Hanshow will go further, go higher, and build an evergreen foundation.

Be in Love of "continuous innovation" with Clients

We often say that we should treat clients like lovers. No matter what a bully the client, I still deem her my puppy love. However, being submissive and pleasing will only make the client's pleasure threshold higher and higher, and eventually break up with you because of boredom. So how can we get the sincerity of our clients? We need to be in a "continuous innovation" relationship.
What are the clients' needs? We can quickly name products, solutions, services, etc. When we offer these, it is like giving flowers and gifts to the lover, providing the lover with pick-up and drop-off services when we go on a date together, etc. Conformist behavior does make our clients feel good about us, and even some of the more youthful clients will like us. However, it is the continuous innovative relationship process that will completely conquer the experienced KA clients. According to Maslow's needs theory model, the five levels of human needs, from low to high, are: physiological needs, security needs, love and belonging needs, respect needs, and self-actualization needs. For the high-level KA clients, we need to continue to innovate to meet them from three upper-level needs.
The need for love and belonging is to establish emotional connections. Unrequited love has no meaning, and mutual love is what love looks like. Customers are also human, who also needs companionship, and companionship is the longest confession of love. I remember the case that when the lockdown for pandemic in New Zealand had just ended in 2021, Client C began preparing for the first store installation after POC. This is a new store located in the South Island of New Zealand. I arranged the trip in advance, flew there with the client, stayed in the same hotel and rented a car together for the trip. Prior to that, my interactions with clients were single-frequency job requirements. It is like a date between lovers. appointed time. The client was very happy after the meeting, and during the meeting, I noticed that the client had created a better color scheme for the forms, so I took the initiative to ask for experience, and the client was happy to tell me. At the end of the meeting, when we agreed to meet at the store on Friday, I mentioned that I would try to go to the store as early as possible to complete the relevant work to avoid delaying the client's pick-up of children and the client readily agreed. When the meeting was over and the moment when we shook hands, I saw the client's look of approval. I knew that his feelings for me had changed from liking to admiration. Self-actualization needs to help the other party achieve self-worth. The first thing to do is to understand the other person's ambition, i.e., his personal ideas in his work or project, and then try to help him realize them. There are many ways to love someone, and achieving the other person is one of the more difficult to do but the most touching one. Client C wanted to reflect some of the different features or advantages of New Zealand against Australia in the project. From this point of view, we researched and developed the C-featured price tag unbinding template in mid-2022 while taking into account the problem that it was impossible to quickly distinguish the screen color after price tag unbinding as reported by stores in the project implementation. After the actual deployment of the template, the front line was very happy, and the internal positive feedback was sent to the New Zealand headquarters which then took the opportunity to show it to the Australian senior management. I knew I had won the client's heart when he joyfully told me that he had been praised within the Group for this.

Artificial intelligence technology (AI) is characterized by openness, self-adaptation and self-learning. As a result, Hanshow has a team full of sense of science and technology——AI+Product Line. This team is composed of a group of enthusiastic young people with remarkable value labels of open mind, independent learning, rich knowledge, professional skills and hard-working spirit. With dreams alive, they are committed to creating ground-breaking artificial intelligence products to provide smart supermarkets with smart digital wings.
Openness and self-renewal are the core values of this team. Since the establishment at the end of 2018, Hanshow AI team, under the leadership of Mr. Zhuang, has gathered a group of core young technical backbone talents. With the most obvious attitude value of openness, the whole team dare to face and accept others' corrections, conduct self-examination and find their own shortcomings. With the core kinetic energy value of self-renewal, the whole team keep correcting, improving and promoting themselves through continuous learning, conduct in-depth technical research and realize the self-renewal. As openness and self-renewal enable the team to maintain innovation all the time, they have achieved breakthroughs in many technical barriers and successfully created Hanshow AI cameras, AI robots and other products finally.

AI camera, as the first important project of the team, started at the beginning of the team's establishment, of which the story went through four years. The iteration of two generations and two cameras embodied the core technology and values of the team. At the beginning of the project, after the AI team fully communicated with clients, according to the needs of clients, the team members worked overtime to subdivide and output the development design documents. The memories of "bicycle accompanying me at night", "night lights accompanying me in cool rain" and "insects singing in the autumn night" still exist. After four months of hard work, the first-generation AI camera finally took shape, for which the joy at that moment was beyond words. The overtime days and nights finally ushered in the dawn. However, the biggest challenge were the actual deployment and test of client stores. The first POC cooperative client of the project is a new store in Siam Makro, Thailand. The team members went to a foreign country, sat on the floor, cross-legged as a table, and carefully conducted analysis and debugging. For problems including failed response to camera commands and WiFi restrictions in the store, the team members, partners and clients completely solved all the problems encountered in deployment after open and friendly communication and full cooperation. Finally, after half a month of hard work, the first-generation AI camera finally ushered in the first batch of images and algorithm results output. After testing, it achieved stable operation for 7*24 hours. Countless hard work finally ushered in the glory of success. The efforts of the team have produced ideal results. With persistent efforts, the team always maintained good cooperation and communication with clients to learn from each other, fully understood the needs of clients, completed the product iteration of AI cameras, and realized the update of the second generation display out-of-stock cameras (with realization of end-side algorithm reasoning) and the development of AI passenger-flow cameras. On this basis, the AI shelf inspection robot (with realization of the mobile monitoring of store shelves) was developed, and currently products such as battery AI display out-of-stock cameras were under development to meet different needs of clients.

Openness & Self-Renewal

Smart Retail Division      Li Wangpei

The smooth progress of the project cannot be inseparable from the hard work of the team members. More importantly, the team members have always upheld the core values of openness and self-renewal. They can always consciously conduct self-examination, ensure the work quality and progress, learn new professional knowledge independently, update and upgrade their professional skills, improve work efficiency, promote and complete the project structure, and ensure that the project is more stable. It's convinced that AI team will make greater progress and success in the future work.

Customer-Oriented: A Driving Force

Asia-Pacific Sales Division   Fang Siqi

Values serve as standards for decision-making and judgment in handling matters and guiding choices. In the corporate context, values are at the core of company culture, and shape the behavioral standards and beliefs of every member. The core value of 'customer-oriented' is deeply embedded in our corporate culture and reflected in the actions of each and every one of us.
In late July 2021, the evaluation process for a Japanese customer's tender accelerated. Given their status as a well-established national brand in Japan and a renowned international clothing brand, the significance was self-evident. We had to prepare a proposal and a Proof of Concept (POC) for this demanding customer within just one week. This was a daunting task.
The first challenge we encountered was preparing the product proposal. At that time, due to the ongoing pandemic, on-site visits to Japan were not possible. We had to provide a solution that would cater to the customer's actual store needs, which was a key competitive differentiator.
Considering the international standardization of store designs and shelves across the customer's global network, we meticulously surveyed stores in the Beijing area. Armed with a ruler, a smartphone camera, and an unwavering determination, team members divided responsibilities and set clear goals. In just one day, we completed the survey of shelf types, paper price tag sizes, and accessories and provided the information to our structural team. Our structural team immediately swung into action to provide the necessary support and swiftly began the design process. With support and collaboration from various departments, the final product proposal not only maintained aesthetics and flexibility in stocking and restocking, but also maximized safety and prevented detachment.
After finishing the product proposal, we didn't stop there. To ensure the best display results, we continuously experimented with font styles and template sizes until we found the Japanese fonts and template sizes that best suited the customer's needs.
For the on-site demonstration with our partner, we prepared a detailed presentation schedule down to the second to ensure a flawless presentation at every step. To guarantee the stability of the results, we even conducted performance tests on the demonstration PC, ensuring that price changes for multiple tags could be carried out simultaneously within the same cycle.
In addition, we incorporated smart store-related solutions into the proposal after discussing with various company departments and considering the customer's store scenarios in Japan, further widening the gap between us and other competitors. And so, for an entire week, we tirelessly communicated with our Japanese sales and technical teams, tirelessly revising, refining, and enhancing our proposals. The visible exhaustion was evident, but the radiance of our determination overshadowed the weariness of our bodies.
Although the project ultimately did not materialize due to the client's budgetary issues, this unwavering belief flowed through our team. We always adhere to the concept of "Customer-Oriented Innovation, Strive to be the Best" and are dedicated to meeting customer expectations and use this as motivation to overcome various difficulties and challenges and continue to strive. We will persistently uphold this belief, firmly advance towards our goals, and strive to achieve outstanding results and contributions.

Team Triumph

 Asia-Pacific Sales Division      Lan Junyi

I would like to share my experience of securing the first new client after joining the new team – Key Accounts (KA) Department this year . The project that lingers in my mind is the "Z (client)" mobile retail store price tag project.
Z client was once a prominent player in the mobile industry but had been lying low in the fiercely competitive market for years. Now, in collaboration with JL (partner), they are making their presence felt in the fields of smartphones, XR technology, satellite communication, wearable smart devices, etc. They aim to make a grand comeback by opening a thousand stores in the next three years, benchmarking Huawei in terms of products and stores. The ESLs are an indispensable part of their store display and digital management. The internal approval for the use of ESLs in Z client's stores was a "mission-critical" task. The entire project, from testing, pricing and bidding to delivery, needed to be completed within 25 days. And this battle began the day they found me.
The IT O&M Department spearheaded the project, radiating to multiple departments such as marketing, visual merchandising, and procurement. I had an initial dialogue with the head of the IT O&M Department to discern the store planning requirements. The ESLs were in high demand, and the store planning was also long-term. I was somewhat apprehensive. I promptly confirmed the feasibility of the requirements with my technical colleagues and collected relevant information about Z. When I saw the ecological layout made by another group company after acquiring Z client's Mobile Business Unit, it infused me with more confidence in the reliability of the project. I reported the project to my superior immediately and formed a project iron triangle within the company. With the division of labor and collaboration within the team, we promptly responded to the customer's needs, completed the solution for Z client's store ESLs, and emerged as the first brand to submit the first-round product proposal among all shortlisted brands. Hanshow' s planning for Z client, be it in terms of company strength, product solutions, delivery capabilities or global strategic positioning, perfectly aligned with their development requirements. The initial exchange and presentation yielded significant triumph, a direct outcome of our collaborative efforts.
A promising start paves the way for half the victory. Subsequently, we smoothly concluded the testing phase, moving on to the quotation stage. However, an unforeseen incident emerged: we encountered difficulties procuring project updates from the client's IT O&M Department. Meanwhile, we faced relentless domestic competitors engaging in aggressive price undercutting. At this juncture, we found ourselves on the verge of a decisive battle. Our fellow Biao explained the project's current standing and the pathway to reversing the situation. We had to find every way possible to meet the client and gain insights into the latest project progress. Hence, I fabricated various pretexts to tackle the issues on-site, and eventually managed to "wheedle" my way into a meeting with Z client' s project team. Chun Lei assumed responsibility for synchronizing with the Visual Merchandising Department to address their requisites, while I took charge of collecting information about the client's preference towards product selection, pricing dynamics, project deadline, decision-making hierarchies and other details from the IT O&M executives. We discovered that they were using the POS system developed by YZ (a collaborating partner), with decision-making mainly influenced by the head of the Visual Merchandising Department. Capitalizing on the seamless integration potential of the YZ's POS system, Chun Lei discussed with the head of the IT O&M Department to guide the product selection process. Concurrently, I focused on surmounting obstacles by analyzing the profile of the head of Visual Merchandising Department. Zheng Mei provided invaluable support throughout the entire business workflow. Ultimately, through collective efforts and assistance, we clinched the deal at an optimal price!
This project experience has been truly unforgettable for me as a newcomer to the team. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for their dedication and support, firmly believing that the team's strength will fuel the continuous breakthroughs and growth of both the South China region and the company as a whole.

Once entrusted with the responsibility for the region, my first course of action was to thoroughly assess all channel partners' situations, addressing any lingering historical issues and streamlining pricing structures. Due to the initial learning curve, a considerable number of matters required fine-tuning and alignment. Although I successfully completed the comprehensive evaluation of all agents within two weeks, the sales figures fell short of our company's expectations. Upon reviewing the preceding circumstances, I resolved to revitalize collaboration with our agents by adopting a project-oriented approach. Allow me to illustrate this with an example from a specific province, where Hanshow has maintained a long-standing partnership with regional agents. However, annual shipment volumes have remained modest, and the online presence of customers within the region has been strikingly minimal—highlighting a significant deficiency in partner motivation. Under such circumstances, achieving further collaboration relies on establishing mutual understanding and alleviating agents' concerns, with project-based initiatives serving as the means to accomplish this. To begin with, alongside regular communication with, training, and supervision of our agents, we undertook a comprehensive review of projects. We compiled a list of ten key accounts at the prefectural level within the region to analyze their requirements and present conditions. Subsequently, we identified one or two key clients, leading our agents to engage with these clients. We commenced by targeting two clients from a specific city who had already embraced competing products. We conducted an in-depth analysis of their needs, strategic objectives as a company, the composition of client relationships, as well as the competing products' launch and support staff. In collaboration with our agents, we devised operational objectives, program strategies, and product strategies while capitalizing on the foundation of our agent-client relationships. As a result, Hanshow successfully regained two projects that were previously seized by competitors, attaining commendable outcomes.
Following the completion of these tasks, our agents acquired a renewed understanding of Hanshow's products and the strength of our team, thereby gaining valuable market insights into electronic shelf-label (ESL) products. Consequently, in the sales targets set for the latter half of the year, the ESL product line has become a central focus for our local agents. By establishing a preliminary sales layout in this region, Hanshow has realized a mutually beneficial outcome.

I used to employ the KA tactics, which emphasized exercising meticulous control over clients and projects and personally overseeing the analysis of important client touchpoints. However, the expansion of our business into regional markets in lower-tier cities necessitates an increased reliance on partners to secure additional resources and augment sales. Win-win cooperation, therefore, serves as the foundation and key to effective collaboration with our agents.

Win-Win Cooperation:
The Foundation and Key to Effective Agent Collaboration and Management

The concept of win-win entails two parties striving for profitability. In win-win negotiations, based on the principles of profit, cooperation, and sincerity, two parties reach a consensus and ultimately enter into cooperation through friendly consultations.
Cooperation permeates the entire work process, encompassing teamwork among colleagues and interdepartmental cooperation, and even the Marketing Triangle model necessitates diverse forms of cooperation. While I was previously familiar with the internal collaboration models during service with the Key Accounts (KA) Department, my recent transition to the Channel Department presented new challenges. Unfamiliarity with channel partners, limited knowledge of channel operations, and a lack of trust among partners proved to be significant hurdles during the initial stages of my work.

A GLIMPSE
OF WORK

Notes on Jiaxing Business Trip

As the curtain slowly opened, the warm sunshine covered the cozy room like a waterfall for an instant, which made me want to stand in front of the window to stretch freely, feel the relaxation of muscles and physical and mental comfort, and get ready for the new day of business trip.
In Jiaxing in May, visitors can still be embraced by the familiar breeze, the faint fragrance of grass and flowers, and the warm sunshine, which seem to tell us about the beauty of the city.
In the speeding car, I gently rolled down the window and reached out to feel the morning breeze. In the distance, there was a group of young people who ran freely, and their laughter extended upward along the kite line in their hands. From a distance, the kite flying in the sky seemed to be really like an eagle gently stirring its wings, showing its graceful bearing to the sky to its heart's content, unfettered by the sky and the earth.
When the car slowly stopped, I knew I had arrived at my destination. With the roar of the engine gradually faded, I walked briskly into the high-tech park, which I have not visited for four years. The workers were still working hard, the headquarters has made the park more diverse, and we have also harvested an inner reliance.
The place where we work is a very spacious space, the whole floor is arranged with the company's research and development results, and our work is to do a large amount of data testing and verification on these results to ensure that customers can use them smoothly. The fifth-generation protocol is a product that has passed many tests, and it exudes unparalleled vitality and brilliance like a phoenix from nirvana, this is the result of the hard work of everyone involved in the project, and it is they who ensure the correctness of every link. So, for us, this is not just a job, it is an unprecedented battle, we have to do everything we can to win this tough battle.
In our work, we always ask ourselves how to do a good job and how to ensure the quality of the products. In fact, all this depends on the actual usage scenario, and our work is judged by how people feel about the products.

Based on this, we design the test scenario infinitely close to the clients, and also put ourselves in clients' position to think and feel to try to expose all possible problems. We are, so to speak, the users.
After simulating many docking operations, we have more understanding of the work of front-line staff, and sincerely express our admiration for them. The successful launch of a product is the result of the joint efforts of all participants, who work hard to do their jobs, so that we have full confidence in the 5th generation project and everyone in the project team.
Some people may ask me how I feel about this trip to Jiaxing. Personally speaking, when I came here four years ago, there were not so many colleagues, and the equipment and environment were poor at that time, but we still completed the work successfully. From programming environment setup to the later data output, we were not disturbed by the environment. Today, the improved environment is more conducive to testing, and better suited to the clients' actual scenario, and our work efficiency has been greatly enhanced. Therefore, we have to enjoy the work, enjoy the process, enjoy the results.
A day on a business trip quickly passed. As night fell and the street lights came on, I sat in the speeding car, reliving what I had seen and felt in the morning. It has to be said that unlike the tall buildings and heavy traffic of the bustling metropolis, the night view here is beautiful. Here, there are less cars on the streets, the roads are lined with flourishing green trees, and if you listen carefully, you can still hear the sound of streams. Even at night, people can feel the quiet beauty of this Jiangnan water town. As the buildings glowed with warm lights, I slowly drew the curtain and closed my eyes to reflect on the productive day.
When the first ray of the morning sunshine breaks into the room again, a new day begins!

In 2021, the central government of China issued the Opinions on Fully, Accurately and Comprehensively Implementing New Development Concepts for Carbon Dioxide Peaking and Carbon Neutrality, and the Action Plan for Carbon Dioxide Peaking Before 2030, which constitute the top-level design for carbon dioxide peaking and carbon neutrality of China. The e-paper, which features low power consumption can greatly reduce the power consumption of devices involving information guide, information display and advertising display in urban areas, contributing to a "carbon neutral city".
The China Industry and Information Technology Work Conference has deployed key tasks for 2022. In terms of further innovation, transformation and upgrading, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on basic electronic components, key electronic equipment and electronic materials, and improve the basic support capacity in the electronic information sector. Relevant measures and planning will boost the development of e-paper industry. Under the policy of carbon dioxide peaking and carbon neutrality, e-paper products with energy-saving, emission reduction and visual friendly characteristics may serve as a solution to the goal of carbon dioxide peaking and carbon neutrality. New products and technologies of e-paper are accelerating their marching paces towards the market in response to carbon dioxide peaking and carbon neutrality.
At present, e-paper is mainly applied in the field of electronic price tag, e-book and e-paper notebook in

China. Deeply engaged in the e-paper industry for more than a decade, Hanshow has won the recognition of the market and customers, with more than 30,000 stores in over 50 countries and regions. On this basis, Hanshow continues to explore the application scenarios of e-paper in new industries and contribute to industrial digital transformation and upgrading in accordance with the principle of personalized customer demand, precise management and intelligent service. As experts point out, the e-paper industry has entered a period of rapid growth since 2022.
Office scenario
With the development of intelligent office space, traditional office equipment cannot adapt to the digital communication and cooperation mode of intelligent office. Therefore, Hanshow offers an intelligent office solution, where the IoT equipment in the office scenario will turn the entire workplace into a digital work area. Interacting through local or remote device terminals with the IoT function, employees can easily check the status of office facilities online, and reserve meeting rooms, office cubicles, storage cabinets and other facilities via one button click. Efficient and collaborative office is achieved in this way.
Smart conference table cards
Traditional conference table cards are mostly paper, which are printed and placed in a centralized manner before the meeting. However, meeting organizers often encounter unexpected problems such as temporary changes to the participants. Hanshow Nebular Max 730 is a smart table card specially designed for the conference.

Equipped with a 7.3-inch double-sided, four-color electronic ink screen, it goes along without wiring and is usable once placed. In addition, it can be managed by APP. In this way, table cards in the conference venue can be arranged with only a mobile phone, greatly improving the efficiency of meeting and saving costs.
Smart office name plates
In the popular shared office space at present, the office name plate is often just a location number. The e-paper technology-based smart office name plate can connect with the office system to display the occupation and reservation information of the office cubicle in real time. It can also offer various interactive functions such as on-site reservation and check-in for employees in conjunction with the QR code. The e-paper with bistable display technology, which is free from flicker or blue light, and will not bring additional light pollution to the office space, is very suitable for the office name plates.
Industrial scenario - line-side warehouse
A production line is capable to produce different products, and paper labels are generally used in traditional production line storage locations. Switchover of the production line involves multiple label change steps, including removing old labels, printing new labels, pasting and checking new labels. For a large domestic manufacturing enterprise with 20,000 storage locations on the production line, it takes 4 workers 4 to 6 hours to change all the labels. However, with Hanshow e-paper label solution for the line-side warehouse, such time may be minimized to 10 to 15 minutes. No manual operation is required during label change, which improves the efficiency for 98%.
Industrial scenario-smart sheet for mobile material trolley
The mobile material trolley of the assembly line is mainly used for the supply and delivery of workpiece at the station of the assembly line and the output of finished products. The traditional paper sheet on the material trolley is mostly filled by hand when the empty trolley is loaded with materials, which may involve poor system relevance and synchronization. In addition, the status cannot be displayed in real time, and the recognition of poor handwriting may lead to errors. With Hanshow e-paper label smart sheet solution, e-paper label participates in the whole production process from raw material input, product manufacturing to finished product output. Material information and inventory information can be displayed in real time on the label, and the display style can be switched at any production

node according to the demand. At the end of the production process, the screen can be cleared for the next service. Compared with handwritten paper sheet, e-paper sheet can improve the turnover efficiency of material trolleys in the production line, display more accurate and rich content, and contribute to energy conservation and environment protection.
Catering scenario
In the post-epidemic era, the catering industry is generally faced with multiple challenges such as continuously rising cost, low gross profit rate for take-away business, and high customer acquisition cost. How to increase units per customer transaction and private traffic have become the primary priority of the catering industry.
To this end, on the basis of e-paper menu, Hanshow launches a catering solution integrated with the kitchen KDS system for prompt and synchronous update of the order status. At the same time, store WeChat, enterprise WeChat Official Account, recommended dishes and coupons can be pushed to the users through the e-paper menu during the meal. As a digital carrier, the e-paper menu creates more display space for enterprises, shortens the user decision link, and improves the customer experience.
Conclusion
The e-paper industry will usher in a period of rapid development from 2022 onwards. From the perspective of industry market size, according to statistics, the global e-paper market size in 2021 was about 3.1 billion dollars, and such figure is expected to reach 4.65 billion dollars in 2022 with an annual increase of 48.1%, and 20.34 billion dollars in 2026. This also indicates that the e-paper industry is entering a critical stage of development.
In terms of future trend and existing application of digital technology, under the trend of digitalization and sustainable development, related enterprises in the retail, logistics and warehousing sectors will have greater willingness to adopt e-paper tablets, electronic labels and other products. Moreover, with the rapid improvement of color e-paper technology, which turns black and white e-paper colorful, the color e-paper will become the main growth momentum of e-paper market size. In conjunction with the carbon neutrality background around the world, the e-paper is expected to accelerate its industrialization amid a promising prospect in the future.

WORK

My Colleague
Jiang Yamei

Smart Retail Division      Chen Jie

3. Good Cop, Bad Cop Negotiation Strategy: For some tough customers, instead of making a clean breast of the whole issues, our sales personnel will discuss with Yamei in advance and communicate with customers with a Good Cop, Bad Cop Negotiation Strategy. This helps to protect the customer's feelings, and move the work forward smoothly.
I have also discussed with Yamei on her accuracy and efficiency style. I hope she can summarize and promote her experience in the team. In addition to her mastery of tools, she shares her experience as follows:
1. Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. What you can do ahead of time can be completed ahead of time if possible. Otherwise, more and more work will be accumulated.
2. Keep in touch with sales personnel, project managers and customers as much as possible, track the project progress in real time, and provide effective reminders of possible risks.
3. Summarize the problem continuously, locate and rectify the problems found and never repeat the same mistake.
This is the daily work of Yamei. She is careful, willing to learn, and lays a solid foundation for the business development. She makes silent contributions to the development of Hanshow, and serves as a true escort for the business development, and is highly recognized by colleagues and customers.
Yamei's daily work performance truly reflects the customer-centered continuous innovation, and is striver-oriented and result-driven. If everyone can improve the quality and efficiency of the work, innovate and optimize the inherent work, and bear the spirit of teamwork in mind, we will be invincible!

Jiang Yamei is a colleague of the East China Branch in China Region, mainly responsible for regional financial operation. We affectionately call her Yamei.
As a trivial job accompanied by a number of temporary tasks, financial operation poses high requirements on the initiatives, data accuracy, planning, scheduling and risk management ability of the staff on active duty. A qualified operator is the soul of the project team, who enables the delivery and sales personnel spend more time in the client and solving future worries, and contributes to closed-loop management from stock preparation, shipment, arrival, acceptance, reconciliation, billing and payment collection. In case of anomalies, the operator is supposed to take the initiative to deal with them and conduct risk early warning, which can not only promote the process progress internally but also contact the client. In this way, customer interaction and key business nodes are promoted. Yamei is such an operator.
Colleagues who have worked with Yamei all feel that, she is professional and efficient, has a clear mind and is beyond expectations. The regional commit meeting she organized must have been over in 30 minutes. This is thanks to her thorough preparation and knowledge of the status of each order. So at the meeting, the salesperson

Wednesday morning. This not only improves productivity,
but also reduces the amount of repetitive work for the whole team. As everyone performs their own duties, they control the work of each link, so that customers can get in touch with the order progress in the first time and feel more satisfied.
2. Reasonable optimization of business process: Seal procedures vary with specific business. For example, the business seal requires 6-8 approval links, while the contract seal requires review and approval of more than 10 leaders due to its complexity. These procedures are designed to better meet the company' s standardization at the cost of a certain amount of approval time. Before initiating the procedures each time, Yamei would verify the background and details of the project with her project team members, so as to select the most reasonable and efficient procedures while meeting the approval requirements. This reduces the waiting time of both parties, improves work efficiency, promotes customer satisfaction, and also plays a beneficial effect for the follow-up cooperation.

only explained the opportunity and strategy, then she could answer all the other questions. In addition, she will check with sales and delivery personnel and even customers for different project progress, problems and exceptions before the meeting. Because of Yamei's full preparation, such meeting saves everyone's time and improves the efficiency of the whole organization.
Several simple things related to Yamei's daily work:
1. Prompt synchronization of logistics information: For the delivery of customer orders, after receiving the order, team members can check the courier number on the system two days later according to their own needs. For the delivery orders she is responsible for, Yamei will urge to accelerate the process and synchronize the progress of customers in the first time. For example, if an order is received on Tuesday afternoon, the customer will receive an email on synchronized shipment tracking number on

Accounts Receivable Management in French Franchise Stores

Accounts receivable represents the outstanding amounts owed to a company by its customers, essentially the capital tied up by customers. Enhancing its liquidity, minimizing bad debt risks, and maintaining a healthy cash reserve are essential to bolstering the company's resilience against risks.
During comprehensive operational training in France, I gained insights into the meticulous execution of each step and the underlying rationale behind each aspect of the workflow. I also had the privilege of delving into Hanshow's accounts receivable practices. Through nearly two months of practical experience with franchise store clients, I'd like to discuss the delicate balance between "Accounts Receivable Collection and Customer Communication".
Common scenarios leading to overdue payments in French franchise stores:

During our work, one memorable incident revolved around a retail store that had delayed payment for an initial invoice due to concerns about the pricing of physical and virtual machines. When a customer defaults on payments, it serves as a critical signal of potential bad debt risk. To address such issues effectively, the Hanshow France operations team offered comprehensive support. This support included gathering pertinent information, revising documents, and retrieving installation records, all to ensure that I had a well-founded basis for negotiations with the customer. However, even with the presentation of a variety of documents, the customer initially proved resistant, creating numerous obstacles. Through persistent and constructive communication, their stance began to soften, eventually leading to the establishment of a payment date. This outcome not only ensured customer satisfaction but also safeguarded the company's interests. Effective customer communication also relies on seamless collaboration with the sales department. In this regard, the management team in France offered robust support, aiding me in translating communication issues into actionable solutions. This comprehensive approach facilitated progress in debt collection while maintaining positive customer relationships.
To establish a dynamic monitoring system for accounts receivable, striking a balance between revenue and risk, and preemptively mitigating overdue payment risk, the Hanshow France operations team implemented five key measures:

24

developed overdue automation tools to maintain efficient and accurate communication with customers.
·Customer Relations: Foster proactive and stable relationships with customers to enhance on-time payments. Maintain open and effective communication, deliver exceptional customer service, and bolster customer loyalty and willingness to pay.

Operations Mgt. Dept.   Xue Feifei

3.Timeliness and Accuracy of Invoicing: Adhering to customers' invoicing preferences and ensuring error-free invoice delivery is paramount. Swiftly tracking any instances of overdue payments and promptly addressing associated risks is equally crucial.

The conclusion of a sale doesn't occur upon the delivery of products and services. True closure is achieved when payments are collected efficiently, ideally within a short timeframe. This process involves multiple internal stages within the company. Any unexpected issues that arise at these stages can impact a customer's willingness to make timely payments, potentially leading to delays. Simultaneously, while diligently pursuing debt collection, it is imperative to maintain robust, enduring, and positive customer relationships. This delicate balance between debt recovery and communication is essential. Failure to strike this balance can result in higher accounts receivable turnover rates and a reduced likelihood of bad debt provision, ultimately affecting sales relationships. Overly lax debt collection policies may provide customers with attractive procurement conditions but expose the company to corresponding financial and credit risks.

·Prepayment Policy: Clearly define payment terms with customers, particularly emphasizing the management of prepayments for franchisees before contract signing.
·Credit Management: Conduct risk assessments before entering into business relationships to gain insights into a customer's creditworthiness and payment capabilities. For high-risk clients, implement cautious accounts receivable management measures, such as requesting advanced payments or adjusting credit limits.
·Invoice Management: Ensure that invoices and statements are sent to customers with absolute accuracy, including the correct amount, descriptions of goods or services, and payment details.
·Receivables Management: Initiate timely communication with customers before the agreed-upon payment date and send reminders. Utilize various channels such as phone, email, or SMS for follow-ups, or employ IT-

1.Malicious delays after product and service receipt;
2.Interdepartmental Coordination Challenges: Issues such as unapproved sales quotations, conflicts between delivery schedules and customer requirements, and delayed resolution of technical problems;

Furthermore, addressing prolonged overdue accounts will be a significant focus in my future accounts receivable management efforts.
The aforementioned measures will continue to evolve in subsequent work, as we refine a management approach tailored to the needs of the French company. This ongoing effort will improve the current situation of overdue receivables.

Application of LCD Products

features and prices, ultimately influencing their purchasing decisions. Nutritional information and wellness recommendations: LCD displays can effectively communicate the nutrient content of food products, accompanied by valuable wellness advice. This wealth of information helps consumers make informed choices based on their dietary needs and health goals. Recipe inspiration and culinary guidance: With the aid of LCD displays, supermarkets can spur customers' purchasing impulse and offer guidance and techniques on utilizing the purchased ingredients to their fullest potential. Additionally, LCD displays can also serve as a platform for broadcasting supermarket announcements and promotional messages, such as sales promotion and new arrivals. On the whole, the application of LCD displays in fresh food supermarkets has the potential to enhance customer experience, stimulate sales, and offer an array of convenient and practical functionalities.
Presently, the LCD sector is in a phase of growth, witnessing a steady influx of competitors into the market. Therefore, continuously enhancing product attributes and fostering differentiation stands as the most effective means of staying competitive at this stage. Technological innovation is a key factor in market competition, as constant introductions of novel technologies and features, such as high-definition displays, reliable wireless connectivity and cloud-based management, operate to elevate product performance. Apart from the products themselves, the provision of comprehensive solutions and services plays a vital role in market competition. By catering to customer demands through tailor-made solutions, after-sales support and technical assistance, we can establish a distinctive edge over rivals. Collaboration with distributors constitutes another integral facet of market competition. Establishing cooperative relationships with these partners expands the reach of product marketing channels and increases market share. All in all, the LCD price tag market is fiercely competitive, with suppliers engaging in competition across domains such as brand influence, technological innovation, pricing strategies, solutions and services.
To respond to this intense competition, there are numerous aspects to explore and contemplate. For instance, streamlining installation processes to reduce labor costs, enhancing the efficiency of ERP integration, and optimizing production techniques to boost output and minimize costs. Meanwhile, expanding the range of product offerings is crucial. A well-designed product portfolio can cater to diverse customer applications, thereby bolstering customer loyalty. Furthermore, providing comprehensive and professional after-sales services—encompassing technical support, maintenance and repairs—contributes significantly to augmenting customer trust in the Hanshow brand. Lastly, actively venturing into foreign markets and identifying new avenues for selling to clients across different market segments is of paramount importance.
With unwavering dedication and continuous exploration, I firmly believe that the business expansion of Hanshow's LCD displays will flourish. These are my insights regarding LCD products. Thank you all for your attention!

As we approach the end of 2023, we find ourselves on the cusp of achieving our annual sales target. Since setting our goals at the beginning of the year, we have engaged in countless discussions and come up with a variety of strategies to ensure their attainment. In order to enhance assembly efficiency, we have transitioned from traditional adhesive approach to a more streamlined snap - on installation approach. To bolster network stability, we have introduced the wide-band and narrow-band unification protocol. In addition, we have optimized accessory costs to drive down overall expenses. Furthermore, we have embraced automation in our operations to maintain our competitive edge.

However, we need to do much more in order to effectively navigate the increasingly competitive market landscape and accommodate the projected exponential growth in sales volume. Lately, I have been contemplating the future trends of LCD products in the fresh food industry and sustaining our rapid expansion amidst a fiercely competitive landscape. Therefore, I would like to share with you my insights on the application of LCD products in the fresh food industry.
First and foremost, let us examine the future trends within the fresh food industry, which primarily encompass environmental protection and sustainability, digitalization, contactless retail, health, and personalized solutions. The fresh food industry is set to become increasingly reliant on cutting-edge and digital technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data analysis, and artificial intelligence. These advancements will serve to optimize production efficiency, minimize wastage, optimize supply chain management, and streamline logistics and delivery operations. Moreover, we can expect a surge in contactless retail models within the industry, including self-checkout systems, unmanned stores, online ordering platforms, and efficient home delivery services. These innovations aim to provide consumers with safer and more convenient shopping experiences. There has been a gradual rise in consumer demand for health-consciousness and personalized offerings. Therefore, future fresh food products are likely to prioritize nutritional value and customized options to cater to the unique preferences of diverse consumers.
In line with the rapid development of the fresh food industry, LCD products are increasingly widely applied in fresh supermarkets. The following are some prevalent applications of LCD products in fresh food supermarkets: Product display and promotional campaigns: LCD displays allow customers to view product images, pricing details, and promotional information, enabling customers to gain a better understanding of product

Let me share with you two selling stories I recently saw. A salesman of Rolls Royce makes 36,000 resource calls every year, 28,800 of which would be answered. Of these, 11,520 people would listen to his introduction. Then, 4,608 people show interest, 1,843 will think about it, 737 people is willing to come over, 294 people express intentions, 117 people want to buy one, 47 people enter negotiation with them. At last, 18 people actually make deals. The 18 orders give him an annual income of 2 million dollars. So he reaches a conclusion: Every time he is rejected, he actually earns 55.58 dollars.
When being rejected by clients, lots of salesmen tend to believe they themselves should be to blame, while actually, we could think about this problem from another perspective. In real life, when a man refuses you one time, you might think it's just an occasional thing; but if

eggs fresh? She thinks he's right, so she erases the word "fresh". Later, another man says to her: why say the word "here"? His meaning: where else could you sell the eggs? She thinks he's right too, so she erases the word "here". A while later, an old man comes and says to her: The words "for sale" are not necessary. People know you are selling, not giving, eggs. So she erases the words "for sale". Then, another man comes and says to her: Why say the word "eggs"? People can see you are selling eggs. It's quite an unnecessary move. In the end, she erases all the words on the paperboard.
This story tells us lots of things. First of all, selling involves packaging and knowing your clients' needs, fully displaying your products' advantages and thus stimulating consumers' desire to buy. Secondly, we must learn to make innovations to highlight our products'

he refuses you many times, you will probably havedoubts about your ability. In reality, lots of salesmen tend to make a mistake: they picture their clients as difficult and tough to make deals with at the very beginning. They back out at the very beginning, and thus are unable to sell anything later.
Therefore, we should learn to look at clients' refusal in a proper way, and not to give up our work because of it. Selling, as a matter of fact, is a lasting psychological war. Don't picture too many difficulties in your head as selling is not as difficult as you think. What you need to do is stick to it and not be afraid of being rejected.
The second story is happening in our daily lives. An old woman is selling eggs on the market, with a paperboard next to her, saying: fresh eggs for sale here. A man comes and says to her: why say the word "fresh"? Aren't your

advantages and thus stimulating consumers' desire to buy. Secondly, we must learn to make innovations to highlight our products' uniqueness. Plenty of qualities that cannot be seen could bring great additional value. A good selling method will create many values.
Besides, we should be modest to hear other people's advice, but we mustn't be fence-sitters. We should look at problems in a reasonable and objective way and develop our own judgement. Different people may have different angles about a problem. We should develop our own opinions and think independently. Last but not least, we should give other people reasonable suggestions that could bring them meaningful results.

Work to Connect with the World

Along the way, when communicating, collaborating and solving problems with colleagues from different regions and countries, I discovered that each person in each region has his or her own unique skills and talents. With different cultures and backgrounds, the clash of different views, perspectives and ideas was also very interesting and opened my eyes to the diversity and possibilities of work and life. Colleagues overseas generally speak a second, third or even fourth foreign language. When I saw them communicating with clients, colleagues and strangers, I deeply felt the charm of multilingualism. Behind each language or dialect spoken are endless stories and experiences, as well as choices and perseverance. Therefore, I secretly downloaded multi-language learning App, relearning Spanish for five minutes every day, which is also thanks to the inspiration and motivation that this trip to Europe has brought to me. I may progress very slowly, but we must not underestimate the compound effect.
I happened to turn 25 while working in Europe, so I decided to go to Copenhagen all alone to celebrate my birthday. I thought I was not related to this country at all, but one afternoon, I wandered into a mall, saw many beautifully packaged chocolates displayed with electronic price tags of all sizes next to them. I randomly picked one up, turned it around, and saw the English word "Hanshow", immediately feeling secure and a bit intimate to this place. This was the sort of connection that I could see in my own eyes. This trip to Europe made me more aware of the meaning of work, gave me a connection to the world, and encouraged me to keep making progress.

Strategic Marketing Dept.     Cai Zishan

Work is not just to make ends meet, but it is the bridge that connects me to society. Along the way, I continue to sculpt myself and sharpen my mind, so that I can live out life at ease without wavering. This May marks exactly one year since I joined Hanshow, and looking back at my experience over the past year, I am very grateful for the many opportunities I have had to experience and grow here. One of the reasons I decided to join Hanshow was because I felt that Hanshow had a very international and professional team, industry and services, and its offices were all over the world. I still remember vividly that during the interview stage, after watching Hanshow's promotional video on the official website, I decided to join this family with enthusiasm, sincerely hoping that I could realize my value here through hard work, and hoping to have the opportunity to go abroad to witness our strength. Then, I was honored to join the Strategic Marketing Department, where I was cultivated by Ms. Guan and Joy and helped by my departmental partners. With joint efforts and rapid growth, I finally achieved my personal goal in February this year and came to the site of Euroshop Germany to assist in the operation of the exhibition and be responsible for media communication-related work. I was also very fortunate to work in the office in the Netherlands and France for a while, and to meet so many interesting people while expanding my work capacity and horizons.

Sometimes I wonder what the meaning of work is. Currently, it seems to me that work is not just to make ends meet, but it is the bridge that connects me to society. Along the way, I continue to sculpt ourselves and sharpen our minds, so that I can live out life at ease without wavering. This opportunity to work in Europe gave me a better understanding and contact to the Hanshow's structure and the different departments and colleagues. Especially during Euroshop, I witnessed that no matter how big the challenges were or how unexpected the situations were, with the cooperation of all departments, the problems were solved one by one before the exhibition started. Because of Hanshow, I am connecting with people and their worlds more than 8,000km away...
In the Netherlands, our enthusiastic colleague Lennard planned the route early and took Joy and me to a series of famous European supermarkets in one day. Seeing Hanshow's electronic price tags neatly displayed in the stores of local retail giants instantly gave us a sense of certainty and direction for our work. I have a more intuitive understanding of the stores that I only know their names in the past, and at the same time, I have also come into contact with the products of competitors, discovered the logic and strategy of advertising of different brands, and also seen the changing weather in the Netherlands, such as the sudden sleet and wind that caught us off guard, and also brought a full of surprises.

LIFE
PERSPECTIVE

Motherland or Distant Land, the Important is Where I can Find the Peace of My Mind

On April 29, 2023, the first day after the Chinese government lifted requirements about having inbound negative nucleic acid test report, I went aboard the plane flying back home. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had basically returned to China for once or twice every year. When I said goodbye to my family in 2019, I didn't know it would be three and a half years, almost four years. During the past several years, it had been all swings and roundabouts. Because of the obstacles of mountains, seas, and policies, it was a lifetime of regret for me not to see my grandparents who accompanied me growing up for the last time. However, I had also spent the last few years working for a company that kept growing rapidly even in the midst of the pandemic. It was not impossible to return to China for several years. However, I had still deterred return to China after weighing the pros and cons, because it was more often than not that there were

Overseas Sales Division         Wang Shuangshuang

This cognition has been fully confirmed after my return to China. I have been in the Netherlands for 10 years. I am used to drinking milk as water and having multi-grain bread and black coffee as breakfast. My English is mixed with Dutch accent, and my Chinese words and sentences are becoming simpler and simpler. In particular, I have been living abroad for more than three years, without the baptism of native life habits and the influence of soft Wu dialect, and even my Shanghai dialect has also become more pidgin (refer to non-standard in Shanghai dialect). I found that I was returning to China for tourism this time. When I returned to Shanghai, I found so many new Internet celebrity landmarks that I couldn't resist taking photos. When I came to Beijing, I went to the hidden stores in the Alleys and immersed myself in the Chinese style and the new Chinese style of dress. When I went to Jiaxing, I realized that the last time I came to this city was more than 10 years ago when I was still in college and my classmates, and I went to the rest area to buy meat zongzi. All of this was a new experience for me compared with how many traffic lights, how many on-off ramps on the expressway, and how many speed cameras there were between company and home in Amsterdam.
Despite the inevitable initial culture shock, I found that I quickly stopped trying to magnify these differences and began to understand and tolerate them with a renewed awareness and openness. This was the biggest change that my overseas life had brought to me. I could have opinions and express them, but I didn't easily define and

many things to be finished in Europe. I was often asked if I regretted making this choice. Each time, without any hesitation, I answered: The world is worth.
Where is my hometown?
Before returning to China, some foreign suppliers who had good cooperation with me would ask me how long it had been since I returned to China and how China was going recently. They wished me to fully enjoy the joy of returning to China. However, they simultaneously and invariably asked me a question: Am I visiting relatives or going home? It was a matter of definition that I had never thought about. However, I didn't think long before I answered: China is my hometown where I am rooted; However, I have already settled down in the Netherlands where my soul is kept.

evaluate them, let alone try to impose my opinions on others. This was my own growth, and it was exactly what I had been doing in my work for the past few years. However, it was like preaching. I knew that this was a spark for Hanshow which I joined two and a half years ago, but I also believed that a single spark could start a prairie fire. Although there had been some whirlwind signs for the team in recent years, I knew that our backbone still existed, and the Company continued to develop in the more international and diversified direction. I believed that there would be more Chinese like me who had lived overseas for a long time to play different roles in Hanshow, getting out of a company's restrictions on some details. Therefore, this organization could become a more vibrant and growing organic entity.
Eagerness of going back to the homeland
Compared with a reconciliation with myself, before return to the motherland, my own parents and family members, and domestic good friends and colleagues, I am more worried about the discomfort I'm bringing to others by what I'm saying and doing. Excitingly, the fear soon disappears.
When I arrived at the Jiaxing office, the scorching 36-degree heat greeted me. A fair-skinned and seemingly aloof young lady stood at the company entrance. Summoning my courage, I approached her, only to realize she was the colleague assigned to be my host.

National Identity
Back when my husband and I first met, our differences seemed insurmountable. I jokingly referred to him as a humanities enthusiast, a globalist, and a sensitive soul, while I saw myself as a law student with a strong belief in nationalism. Over the years, our perspectives have merged. Most importantly, I've realized that my sense of national identity has evolved from mere rhetoric to a grounded and practical understanding.
Before joining Hanshow, I had experienced the comfort of state-owned enterprises and the complexity of multinational corporations, and even ventured into small entrepreneurial endeavors. However, Hanshow, my first experience with a private enterprise, unexpectedly became my home. I had heard the phrase "Once you enter Hanshow, it's like diving into the deep sea". Initially, I brushed it off, but upon joining, I realized that the past few years had been more demanding than any 996 job. The difference was that at Hanshow, it wasn't about overworking; it was about the company's rapid growth and high efficiency. Despite feeling tired, I found solace in knowing that I was surrounded by like-minded individuals.
Many people have asked me why, as someone living abroad, I chose to embrace the challenges of working at Hanshow instead of pursuing a more comfortable path. Throughout this journey, playing the role of an HR professional for an overseas branch of a Chinese company, I've truly come to understand the ups and downs, misunderstandings, and moments of feeling unjust. However, every time I feel like giving up, I remember someone telling me that they hope Hanshow will become a company respected by the world, the last company for its employees. While these words came from senior leaders, they require the collective effort of everyone. Hanshow may not yet be a giant ship, but I believe that with the accumulation of small efforts, we will achieve our goals. I also recognize that only when people venture into unknown territory can they discover new landscapes, savor the diverse fragrances of life, and embrace the beauty of different cultures. I am grateful to Hanshow for providing me with a hidden paradise and helping me rediscover my original aspirations.
In a world where some choose to stay in their hometowns, content with what they have, while others venture into the unknown. Both paths are valid. However, if there were only these two types of people in the world, the bonds between lands and between individuals would quickly erode, leading to missed opportunities and a diminished range of possibilities. Yet, it's the individuals who traverse between these worlds, ferrying people across or building bridges. In their world, there's no division between here and there. Regardless of whether it's their homeland or a foreign land, they find solace wherever their hearts are.

She took me on a tour of a vast 1,000-square-meter showroom. Initially, we were a bit distant, but as I couldn't resist taking photos at every company sign of Hanshow Technology, our reserved demeanor gave way to shared laughter. She also arranged for colleagues from Hanxian to show me around the production lines. My curiosity led to a barrage of questions, and we even joined in playful selfies using beauty filters. All these experiences gradually forged a connection and brought us closer. Subsequently, she continued to guide me through the Jiaxing office. We explored every inch of the premises on foot, visiting the General Manager's office, the Party Affairs office, the employee gym, and even the construction site of the new factory area. For lunch, the two of us enjoyed Sichuan cuisine, and we couldn't resist ordering stinky tofu from the neighboring restaurant. After devouring the meal, we chatted for over an hour, feeling an instant sense of camaraderie. Finally, when she told me that she felt I was just as approachable and friendly as my online persona, I felt a tremendous sense of relief. In Jiaxing, I also had the pleasure of meeting Miaoqi, the big brother of the supply chain, who treated me to iced black tea. Jiali, from the General Affairs office, went out of her way to discuss solutions for my party affiliation matters. Everything unfolded so naturally, and I am grateful for life's kindness.
However, this warmth took on an "intensified form" when I arrived in Beijing. I took an early morning high-speed train to the city, only to be greeted by Beijing's bustling traffic as soon as I arrived. When I arrived at the office, it was almost the end of the workday. The team members with whom I had laughed and cried during our

phone calls in Europe were all dressed up and waiting to greet me, swiping their access cards to let me in. Although I was met with puzzled looks from a few colleagues with whom I had interacted online, our team quickly embarked on a game of "Sherlock Holmes", connecting names with faces. What followed was as anticipated – heartfelt conversations, a feeling of "why didn't we meet sooner", and countless delightful meals and drinks. To say the least, every encounter with my colleagues had that "oh, it's you" feeling, simultaneously familiar and unfamiliar. Each person I met created a living and authentic experience, "exceeding my expectations". Many colleagues, with whom I had been cautious about regional differences during online interactions, turned out to be open and straightforward in person. The in-person encounters removed barriers and enabled frank conversations. Moreover, those who had been formal and respectful in the workplace turned out to be warm and approachable in reality, instantly bridging the gap between us. During my time overseas in the past two years, there were many nights when I felt I had given my all, enduring moments of hardship as an HR professional due to the constant flux of people. But it's this lovely group of people who have made me feel a sense of belonging and resonance. I know that in the career race, many people choose to leave and become transient passengers in our lives. However, there are always some bonds that can keep people together for the long haul. Wherever we are, we are all striving toward the same goal, heading in the same direction. This is the driving force that Hanshow has given me, as well as the source of my confidence.

The Road Ahead is Long and Brilliant

From the internship after graduation to now, I have been working for nearly 2 years. From an intern to a basically mature professional, two years have brought me countless learning and growth experiences.
Enterprise: The encounter with Hanshow - the meaning of meeting is probably to enlighten each other.
As the monitor, I was responsible for screening the recruitment information at the recruitment fair held in our school. At that time, I began to know Hanshow and got to know its products and corporate culture through its official website. However, because I knew little about the Electronic Shelf Label back then, so my understanding was relatively shallow. At the recruitment fair, Mr. An led the team to make a presentation, from which I had a relatively deeper understanding of the enterprise and its products, and also left a deep impression on An's witty speech and manners. Since I majored in hardware, I participated in filling out the hardware questionnaire. I had a conversation with Feng Chenyang from the product department and received an on-site interview. He also graduated from our school, and when he learned that I had participated in many competitions and projects in college and served as the leader of the "Electronics Enthusiasts Association", he gave me some advice and shared with me some of his own experiences in Hanshow. As a result, I think Hanshow is a rapidly developing scientific and creative company that occupies a leading position in the industry. From the perspective of the company's competency, cooperative clients and other dimensions, Hanshow is very excellent, and it is a very suitable platform for fresh graduates to learn, grow and develop. Therefore, I chose Hanshow as a beacon to guide me to step into the society. After joining the team, whether it is the team atmosphere, colleagues or daily work, I feel very warm. The leaders make complete learning plans, actively cultivate newcomers, and consider and plan for the development and future of everyone in the team. Colleagues and seniors patiently and carefully teach me working methods, and they also treat me as a family member. There are standardized procedures for daily work, and a lot of documents for learning and reference, which will not make newcomers feel confused. In this way, I naturally and smoothly transition from the role of a student to the role of a professional, thanks to the support and help of the team, and also the subtle influence of the company. Meeting, acquaintance and understanding is a kind of fate, and I am extremely lucky to know Hanshow and become a part of it.
Position: A firm choice - Believe that the path you choose is the right answer, and make it the right answer
My undergraduate major is Electrical Engineering and Automation. Although my study in the university is relatively smooth, from the perspective of personal preference and career development, I do not want to restrict myself to this major as a lifelong career path. When I was in the university, I joined the debate team and the Electronics Enthusiasts Association. During the four years, I participated in various competitions and activities and gained a lot. I went from being a member of the college debate team to a member of the university team. This experience taught me the art of dialectical thinking, logical thoughts and reasonable conversation. As the leader of the college debate team, I led the team members to prepare for competitions and respond flexibly during the processes. I was also a leader of the 300-member Electronics Enthusiasts Association, and this experience taught me to consider the development of the association in daily operation and make overall plans when holding activities. I once served as the person in charge of various projects and competitions, mainly was responsible for the overall design of the projects, task allocation, internal and external communication, report and patent sorting and final report. These experiences helped me become outgoing and articulate, and I enjoyed the process of leading the team to strive for excellent results. In my opinion, these experiences are roughly the same as the responsibilities of a sales/project owner, so I resolutely chose to serve as a sales person to confidently present myself and the company's products, projects and teams. When I officially started my work, I found that the responsibilities of "sales staff" were similar but inconsistent with what I had originally expected. A qualified sales staff needs not only enthusiasm, but also many other qualities. He should constantly improve his knowledge of the company's products and projects, which is the basis of his professional competence. Cognition determines behavior. At the same time, he also needs to know his team, understand his clients, and "know his responsibilities, be responsible, and actively fulfill his

responsibilities." This position needs to bear a heavy workload, to be honest, as a newcomer in the workplace, I am not sure whether this choice is really suitable for me. But there are no perfect choices, and there are no absolute right answers, all I need to do is believe that the chosen path is the right answer and turn it into the right answer.
Team: Work together to tackle challenges - good team members areworking together, they can not only make mutual achievements, but also inspire each other.
The university experience made me have a little personal heroism when I just entered the workplace. I believed in my own ability and thought that only by being personally involved and in control of everything can I do things well. At the beginning of my career, I was overcautious and indecisive, and always worried about the progress of each link and lacked a sense of teamwork. Later, I discovered my own inadequacy - workplace trust is conducive to harmonious coexistence. Two weeks before a Christmas, the client operation team held an internal meeting and temporarily put forward the demand for upgrading the electronic shelf label template across the line, requiring the template to be made and switched within two weeks. Faced with such an urgent and difficult task, the project team quickly made plans and began to take action. The sales department was responsible for communicating the cost and communicating with the operation department to extend the switching time, deliver the upgrade template, update logic and push in all stores, the after-sales department was responsible for solving the problem of reporting errors in stores. As the saying goes, "unity is strength", in the end, we successfully completed the delivery of this urgent task in a very short time and won a high degree of recognition from the client. This incident made me realize that "individualistic heroism" is not necessary in work. Colleagues in various positions will take the initiative to communicate and promote work across departments, and everyone's work can form a closed loop independently, there is no need to worry too much. I once read an analysis of the relationship between Lao Tzu's "the greatest truths are the simplest" and work in a book, and there is a paragraph that has benefited me a lot: the essence of work lies in two main areas, one is managing people, and the other is managing tasks and resources. As long as everyone sticks together, things will go smoothly. If we work together towards the same goal, we will surely succeed. Good team members work together as a unit; they can not only achieve mutual success, but also inspire each other.
Self: Talk to yourself - growth is the process of continuous "desensitization"
Two years is neither short nor long. In the first year, I had little time for self-reflection and was always busy absorbing new knowledge and accumulating new experiences. At that time, because I did not find a suitable way for myself, I had to keep exploring, and I always did things according to the thinking logic of "encountering problems - presetting answers - raising questions - comparing conclusions". In the second year, I started to have conversation with myself and improve my ability to think independently, which gave me a clearer direction and plan, so it was a year of constant revision. In my opinion, growth is a process of accepting new things, in which we constantly reinvent ourselves and revise our direction of travel. Growth is a process of continuous "desensitization". We experience new things in life, and we also experience the same things over and over again until we become comfortable with them. I need to experience like my predecessors in order to achieve the same achievements as theirs. The road ahead is long and brilliant, just go for it!

Homestay in Overseas Business Trip

LIFE

Smart Retail Division     Zhang Jiangping

Airbnb is one of the three most popular apps on mobile phones (along with Google Map and Uber) for colleagues who travel abroad all year round, allowing them to find houses or rooms via local hosts for the purpose of short-term accommodation. The support for overseas project delivery usually takes 1 to 3 months. For major projects, more persons will be dispatched on business trip to provide supports. The cost of accommodation and catering in developed countries is very high, resulting in high cost of business trip. At the same time, clients' offices are usually not located in urban areas, so we can only eat hamburgers or sandwiches nearby, which is also a big challenge for our "Chinese stomach" and has an impact on our work efficiency.

The short-term rentals provided by Airbnb are cheaper than hotels, and can save more than 30% of the cost. We can also cook simple Chinese food with colleagues on weeknights and weekends to properly satisfy our "Chinese stomach". Therefore, Airbnb has become the best choice for overseas colleagues on business trips. In 2019, I went on a business trip to the Netherlands and Belgium for the project A. Although many years have passed, the local homestay experience still leaves a deep impression on me.
A detached three-story house near Brussels, Belgium
When  supported the key account D in Belgium, we needed to have a meeting with the custome' s senior

management at 7 am every week. There were four people in our support team. Considering that the client's office was located in a suburb, we found a detached three-story house in a town nearby. The house is in a typical of European residential layout, and has clear division of functions. The first floor includes a garage and a warehouse; The second floor is the living room with a kitchen, where we can work together at a large dining table; the third floor is multiple bedrooms, which can satisfy everyone with a separate room. The whole house was clean and tidy. The kitchen was large and the dishes were neatly laid out. The road in front of the house was paved with tracks, where trams (the local tram system) glided by during the day.
It is a typical European town, relatively quiet, with a very large forest park, with people walking their dogs on the large lawn from time to time. There were many small grocery stores, one of which was owned by an Indian. There was also a cemetery with residential houses right next to the gate. The trees made a pleasant shade, and we felt alright.
A rural farm in Antwerp, Belgium
At that time, considering the price, my colleague found a slightly remote house, about an hour's drive from the company. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that it was a farm. Half the house was lived by the landlord and the other half was for renting. A little way behind the house was a large farm meadow, with some very beautiful horses fenced in. There was also a large stable where the horses could rest at night and many farm tools were stored. On weekends, the landlord fed the horses at the

fence gate, giving us a chance to pet their foreheads up close and experience the idyllic life of "feeding horse and chopping firewood" (the smell was not pleasant actually).
The farm house was big, and so was the kitchen. The nearest town was a few kilometers away. After dinner in the evening, we took a walk on the path outside. There were no street lights, and we could only smell the cow/sheep on the lawn by the road. It was very quiet.
During our stay at the farm, we also had the honor to invite the client's Delivery PM to have dinner together. Besides Chinese food, Russian colleagues also cooked a large table of delicious food, including their specialty dish shredded sour cucumber with sauce, leaving a good impression on the client and the team.
At the time of leaving, I was reluctant to part with the horses, and I will remember this special memory forever.
A downtown apartment in Brussels, Belgium
On the client's public holidays, we found an apartment downtown for three days. The host is an elderly couple. The room was relatively small, and the living room was converted into a bedroom. Despite limited space, we could get a very close view of the Brussels cityscape, with a balcony that offered views of the city's European houses and church spires. The apartment was also not far from Manneken Pis, the world-famous peeing boy.
Downstairs was a narrow pedestrian street lined with bars, which, since it was a public holiday, were full of people drinking and chatting until the early hours of the next day.
With the rapid development of the European business, we have set up several branches in many European countries, and our teams have been growing. Since conditions have also been greatly improved, we have spacious and bright office, and more opportunities to travel overseas to support projects. In some special cases, such as extremely high hotel cost due to exhibitions near the company, we will still turn to Airbnb to book local B&Bs, which enables us to experience the life of local people in depth in our spare time.

Journey to the West · Dunhuang

Smart Retail Division      YU MINGMING

In 2022, due to the epidemic, the travel plans made at the beginning of the year were delayed several times. When the summer vacation of that year was coming, we made all the arrangements with great enthusiasm and prepared to take the children to Qinghai for a trip during the holiday. Unfortunately, the school told us not to leave Beijing, so our travel plan could not be carried out. I applied a few more times later, but the school just refused to give approval. So I called 12345 to complain about the school, and the school later called me and explained that it was not allowed to leave Beijing in the name of tourism, and hoped to get parents' understanding. The day before the scheduled trip, we still couldn't get permission and had no choice but to cancel the whole trip. My journey to the west seemed impossible.
Actually, we went to Northwest China five years ago.
One day, looking at the map on the wall, I counted the cities along the Hexi Corridor and saw Lanzhou, Wuwei, Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, Guazhou, and then I saw Dunhuang. This is a very imposing place name, the mention of it reminds me of the Dunhuang Caves, so I decided to make a journey to this strange city.
"Bianshui River flows, Sishui RIver flows, all the way to Guazhou ancient ferry", this is the theme song of the TV series "The Affaire in the Swing Age" and I often think of it. In the TV series, Chen Yuanyuan stays in the capital while her husband Wu Sangui leads an army garrison outside the Shanhaiguan Pass. Just as the troops of Li Zicheng were about to invade the city, Chen Yuanyuan, holding her pipa, could not get any news of her husband and did not know where to go. Where is Guazhou? According to records, there are two places named "Guazhou" on the vast land of China, one is in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, and the other is in the distant Western regions. If someone wants to escape to the ends of the earth with his loved one to escape the world's wars and slowly grow old together, I think Guazhou in the Western regions is a better choice, as it is such a wonderful place.
Dunhuang, which is next to Guazhou, is home to the world-famous Dunhuang Caves. I don't know much about murals and paintings, so I read a lot about Dunhuang in the month before the journey, including the history of Dunhuang, relevant books, movies, introductions to the murals, and travel guides, etc. There is a book and a movie, both called Dunhuang, which tell the same story.

It was a thin book, perfect for a lazy afternoon. This is a story that happened in the Song Dynasty, and it relates to the Western Xia regime which I am very interested in. When the Western Xia emperor Li Yuanhao led his troops to capture Dunhuang, the Uighur princess trapped in the city was forced to marry the powerful invader. However, on the wedding day, the princess jumped from the city wall and expressed her wish to die rather than surrender. Several scenes in the film show the construction of the grottoes, and at the end of the film, it is mentioned that the Cao family, a famous Dunhuang family at that time, transferred the scriptures into secret doors in the grottoes when the city fell, and these precious historical materials were not rediscovered until a thousand years later.
We went to Dunhuang by train and passed many familiar places, most of which appear in poems. Wuwei was called Liangzhou in ancient times, and the poem "Starting For The Front" says: "The Yellow River far stretches onto clouds white, An isolated city faces the mountains scraping sky." The train stopped at Wuwei in the evening, and we made a point of stepping off the platform to get a feel for the city. The railway station is surrounded by modern buildings, and the "Yellow River", "lonely city", "mountains" and other scenes have nowhere to find. We can only look back at history and experience Wang Zhihuan's mood from the deep bottom of our hearts.
As the train continued to move forward, I saw the endless Qilian Mountains in the distance, the vast Gobi Desert, and the gradually increasing white saline-alkali land, but I saw few traces of city. The towering array of giant windmills brings a touch of modernity to this desolate landscape. We headed west and finally arrived in this strange city after more than 30 hours.
There is a modern railway station with a particularly large square in Dunhuang. We stopped for a moment in the square to feel this exotic city thousands of miles away from Beijing. It was a fine day that day, and Dunhuang was holding a national running festival, with posters lining the streets. The hotel driver contacted us and took us and our luggage to the hotel to rest.
After dinner, we went for a walk in a small park next to the hotel. It was a small, ordinary park, and we stopped at its northwest corner after a tour of it. The wall here looked markedly different from the others around it. It was a pristine earthen wall that was still tight. Next to the wall

stood an introduction board with its history printed on it. I stood here for a long time in a trance. I felt as if I had returned to some time and space in the past, and saw a strange figure standing on this wall, looking into the endless future.
A few days ago, as I was preparing to move, I organized the bookcase and discovered several books about Dunhuang, including books on the history of the Western regions, Dunhuang murals, and a novel of the same name, a picture book waiting to be painted. I had bought these books specifically to read before the journey. On my desk, there is also a red-orange notebook with inserts from Dunhuang murals. The processor of these paintings is called Chang Shana, and her father is the patron saint of the Dunhuang Caves - Chang Shuhong.
Like everyone else, if it were not for the trip to Dunhuang, I would never have known these two names in my lifetime. Chang Shuhong gave up the comfortable life abroad during the Anti-Japanese War, and came to this deserted place with his wife and teenage daughter Chang Shana. At that time, Dunhuang faced the disaster of quicksand, and the grottoes lacked care for a long time. Chang Shuhong stayed without hesitation and decided to fight for it all his life.
The tourist bus took us from the Dunhuang Digital Center to the grottoes. Through the window, we could see from a distance that the rows of lush trees in front of the grottoes were especially precious compared with the bare cliffs around them. Since Chang Shuhong came to the grottoes, he had been planting trees to prevent the sand from eroding the murals. Now those small trees have grown into towering trees, replacing him to continue to protect these precious treasures.
Compared with the staff of other tourist attractions, the staff of the Dunhuang Caves leave a completely different impression. They move carefully, speak softly, and do things patiently. Visitors can only stay in each cave for a few minutes, and at the end of the tour, the guide will take the key from his belt to lock the hole. It is as if we were all providers of them in previous lives, showing devout worship. Only a few caves can be opened for

exhibition each day, because too much air movement would corrode the paintings. The grottoes have been lying here quietly for more than a thousand years, and our presence is only a short stay. They do not need to rush to reveal themselves to the world.
The guides at Dunhuang Grottoes are professional, and their elaborate attire reflects respect for the history. This attitude of not blindly following the tourism market demonstrates that they attach great importance to the history.
There were some small courtyards in front of the grottoes, with the doors left unlocked or unlatched, which should be places for the staff to live and rest. There were several rooms with neat stone and brick floors, and some green plants were planted in the corners, which looked quiet and tidy. When Chang Shuhong first arrived in Dunhuang, the conditions here were very poor, and there were only simple straw houses made of local materials, sofas and tables made of earth. In order to retain the young people who came to work there, the stables were converted into new apartments for them to live in. Today, living facilities here have been greatly improved, and modern means of communication have been introduced, narrowing the distance between Dunhuang and other parts of the world. The Dunhuang Academy is also at the forefront of fashion, it has set up cultural and creative shops, Taobao stores, digital exhibition halls, and various exhibitions in the scenic area, so that the Dunhuang Grottoes are full of vitality again. What is impressive is that the store sells freshly picked grapes, which are grown by the employees themselves and can be eaten directly, sweet and refreshing.
of a small shop one day. There was a deer of nine colors of Dunhuang, with a light figure, smooth lines, and a pair of antlers erecting on the slightly raised head, quietly staring into the distance. Without hesitation, I decided to take it home. After the price was agreed, the shopkeeper carefully wrapped the deer in a handbag and handed it to me with both hands. Now it is placed on my desk, and every time I look at it, I remember my wonderful trip to Dunhuang.

The earth is round, the football is round, and I'm also round. No matter where I live, Mainland, Scotland, England or Holland, football always landed on me, honestly, I have no clue why this is happening, but it seems like playing football is the best way of relaxing, and I do feel enjoying it.So, this is a story about me, about the win and losses of my football "career".
An idiot on the goal line.
When I was a kid, I have no clue what football is, all I know is that lots of people chasing after a ball, trying to get the ball into a net, and there always be an idiot who standing in front of the goal line trying to block the ball from getting into the net. At that time, it was the golden age of Chinese football, I sometimes blame my parent for giving me birth that late, so I have zero memory of China getting into the World Cup and nearly winning the champion of the Asian Cup. Well, who cares, I was never a footballer back then. But accidentally, during my primary school period, I started playing football.
I was a centre-back, in your opinion, a centre-back might be tall and strong, but I was short then, well, I'm still short now, so I didn't play well, in middle school, they said I won't be in the first line-up anymore. If you played football you will know, every kid is trying to play an attack role, not a defencing role, the only vacant will be the goalkeeper, the idiotic role in the team, but I wanted to play and wanted to stand on the pitch, so I became a goalie, the idiot on the goal line. I was not aware of how I would find myself in this position.
The last man standing.
In 2012, the first year I played as a keeper, with permission granted by my father, I was allowed to watch the EUFA Championship final at 3 o'clock in the morning, unlike other kids, my attention was on the keepers, Neuer and Cech. I was impressed, I realize how important a keeper can be and they are not idiots, instead, they are saviours.
Four years later, I went to college, and when I heard we will have a football game between departments I was excited. I immediately signed up as a keeper, and who can imagine, I became the key player for the following four years.
In the first season, I was young and restless, I made lots of irrational mistakes and it really damaged the morale of the team, we were knocked out at the octal-final. I don't understand, I tried my best, and I still can not bring victory to the team.
I didn't get the meaning of "the last man standing", I thought that phrase means someone who can save the team on their own. I was wrong.
Before the second season, the captain came to me and told me, it is not important for a keeper to deny every ball flying towards the goal, it is more about bringing confidence to the team, and letting them know that there is someone behind, supporting them and occasionally perform some miracle. But making miracles is never the most important thing, but not making mistakes. Cool, I nodded. The season was great, in the quarter-final, I denied 4 goals during the penalty kick phase, and in the semi-final, I denied 2. Indeed, some miracles did happen, but you can not expect the miracle to happen all the time. In the final, we lost, again, I couldn't save the team.
Until I graduate, I never win a championship, it might become something I will never have. But luckily, it came.

Overseas Sales Division      Zhao Haochen

Roundly me

King in the north.
When I moved to Scotland, I thought I should give up on playing football since I’m a bit terrible, so I signed up for the referee course at Scottish FA, and then I became a referee.
My Scottish lads started to call me Chuck since I always chuck the ball into our own net. Well, yes, playing with those lads really improved my skill as a keeper, I have to admit that they are on a totally different level compared to the player I played before.
This April, my friends in Glasgow asked me if I can join their team for a Scottish-Chinese football championship in Edinburgh, I will never miss a chance to win a championship! I told myself, I'm not a saviour, all I need to do is to try my best and make every decision rationally, just like what a referee will do. I tried, and I did.
It was a miracle, at least it was to me, we won. It is nothing more cheerful like to fulfil your own dream.
In the end
Eventually, I figured out why I like to be the idiot on the goal line. It is about the expectation from the teammates, the cheering from the audience, and the satisfaction of supporting a team, when they rely on you.
It is just a simple story for a goalkeeper, who finally made his dream come true.

However, it must be said that commercial coffee is a product of its time and a necessary factor in the rise of coffee. With the rise and promotion of commercial coffee, various specialty coffee shops are now found in every nook and cranny. Early specialty coffee shop owners also often started with commercial coffee. With the advent of specialty coffee, the concept of flavor slowly became part of people's lives. Gradually, some people began to understand that not all coffee is bitter but rather has different flavors. Coffee made from different coffee beans with varying degrees of roasting also brings people many different tastes. For example, coffee made from dark roasted beans often presents a chocolatey sweetness in a latte, while coffee made from lightly roasted beans often features various fruity flavors and a refreshing sweetness.
Speaking of flavors, I have to mention the pour-over coffee, which is currently one of my favorite ways to make coffee. Pour-over coffee doesn't require a coffee machine. You can simply use filter paper to filter hot water and get coffee. The entry cost is relatively low, and in recent years, it has become a popular choice for people to taste coffee. On a leisurely afternoon, grinding coffee beans, boiling water, watching the water slowly drip through the filter paper into the cup, and then sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, is also a very comfortable scene.
Speaking of flavors, earlier we mentioned how different coffee beans and roasting degrees can produce different flavors, which is fully demonstrated in pour-over coffee. The type of coffee beans used often determines the general flavor direction, and the roaster can achieve a rough flavor profile by roasting the beans to different degrees based on their understanding of the beans. For example, good coffee beans roasted lightly often present floral and fruity flavors and usually have a fruity acidity. Medium-roasted beans are usually more balanced and have a sweeter taste, while dark-roasted beans often have a chocolate flavor and a slightly bitter aftertaste. In addition, different beans can produce different flavors, which tend to become more consistent as the roasting degree increases. For example, the flavor differences between lightly roasted beans are the greatest, followed by medium roasted beans, while dark roasted beans have lower flavor differences. Extremely dark roasted beans tend to be more consistent in flavor. Therefore, among hand-dripped coffee, light-roasted coffee is the most popular, because it can experience a wider range of flavors.
The flavor of pour-over coffee is quite mystical. When we buy coffee beans, the seller often labels various flavors, such as citrus, blueberry, cherry, and so on. However, most people cannot taste these flavors, which is normal. After all, coffee beans are just coffee beans and not real blueberries, citrus, or cherries. How do these flavors come about? They are imagined by the coffee roaster during cupping, which is the process of tasting the coffee after roasting to evaluate its flavor. The purpose of these flavor descriptions is to help buyers imagine what kind of coffee they are purchasing. In other words, these flavors are subjective and most people who have not undergone professional taste training may not be able to accurately detect them. As consumers, we don't need to be too concerned about these flavor descriptions. We just need to know whether the coffee tastes good or not. If it tastes good, then it's worth drinking, regardless of the flavor description. Conversely, if it doesn't taste good, then the flavor description is meaningless, no matter how good it sounds.
Some colleagues may ask, what is the purpose of these flavor descriptions? As mentioned earlier, coffee roasted to different degrees produces different flavors. Flavor descriptions can help buyers determine whether a coffee is the style they like. Without them, all coffees would just be labeled as "coffee", and people would have no way of distinguishing and choosing. Therefore, flavor descriptions are important for helping buyers make informed purchasing decisions.
Many variables affect the flavor of pour-over coffee, in addition to the coffee beans themselves and their roasting degree. Factors such as different types of water, varying water temperatures, different types of filters, different coarseness of coffee grounds, various pour-over techniques, and different brewing times can all impact the flavor. While some of these variables may produce undesirable flavors, the combination of many variables allows us to experience a wide range of flavors. It can even be said that no two cups of coffee taste the same, which is part of the allure of hand-brewed coffee.
Coffee is indeed a very complex topic, and there's so much to cover. The description I provided is based on my personal experience and may not be completely accurate, but it's why I enjoy coffee and I wanted to share it with everyone. Thank you to my colleagues who have read this far. Finally, if you also love coffee, feel free to reach out to me anytime to chat.

Fun of Coffee

I love coffee, and I believe many of my colleagues who know me are aware of it. I also know that many of my colleagues like coffee too. Today, let's chat about why coffee is beloved by people.
People may love coffee for its effects, or perhaps because they have experienced the joy that coffee brings. What are the joys of coffee? In my opinion, the joy of coffee mainly comes from two aspects. One part comes from enjoying the process of making coffee, and the other part comes from the different sensations that come from various flavors.
Let's talk about the process of making coffee first. I don't know if you have the same feeling, but after a few days of work, feeling fulfilled yet busy, you may want to relax on the weekend. Some people choose to hang out with two or three friends, some go out for a big meal, and others immerse themselves in their hobbies and do things they love. These are all ways to relax. However, my most common way of starting the weekend often comes from a cup of coffee. It's not because of the need for caffeine, but rather a habit of enjoying the process of making coffee and savoring it.
Grinding the beans, washing the cups, and making the coffee, step by step, I enjoy the peace and relaxation that the process of making coffee brings me, as I focus on the task at hand. This focus, peace, and relaxation all fit perfectly with the weekend. After enjoying the process of making coffee, drinking a delicious cup of coffee is the natural next step.
There are many styles of coffee, such as Italian, American, French Press, and Syphon, etc. Personally, I usually make latte and pour-over coffee.
Latte is a well-known coffee beverage that combines Italian espresso and frothed milk. When people talk about coffee, a latte is often the first thing that comes to mind. Most coffee shops offer a variety of latte options, and Starbucks is undoubtedly the most well-known among them. Speaking of Starbucks, the pure latte of Starbucks is quite bitter. Along with instant pure coffee, it has led many people to have the inherent impression that coffee is bitter. The best coffee shouldn't taste bitter because most coffee is not bitter itself, and the milk provides a high level of sweetness. When combined, they produce many different flavors and provide people with a wide range of experiences.
Then why do people universally think that coffee is bitter? It's due to the inherent impression created by some commercial coffee. Commercial coffee is often made with cheap coffee beans to reduce costs and improve consistency in coffee production. The beans are excessively roasted, resulting in a burnt flavor and a lot of bitterness. Meanwhile, many baristas fail to control the temperature when frothing milk, causing the milk to lose its sweetness and resulting in a bitter latte. As a result, sugar syrup is often added to balance the flavor. You may have tried vanilla latte or hazelnut latte, which are lattes flavored with vanilla or hazelnut syrup. Although the flavor is improved by adding syrup, it's not a healthy choice.

What qualities and physical fitness are required to complete an Ironman competition? With a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and 21 km running in 44-degree heat during the May Day holiday, I was fortunate enough to participate in and complete the Xiangang Ironman competition in Vietnam, achieving sixth place in my age group.
About Preparations: For this competition, I made sufficient preparations, ensuring 8 hours of sleep per day, 2 hours of training, a healthy diet plan, and long-distance high-intensity training on the weekends. During the training period, I constantly searched for my shortcomings and strengthened them. When facing difficulties, I continuously sought advice from experienced people to find solutions. Finally, when encountering a low point, it is crucial to have full confidence in oneself. In many cases, willpower is an important part of high-level competition.
1.9 km Swimming: On my fourth Ironman competition, I still primarily use the breaststroke swimming technique, and I found it to be very energy-consuming as I am not yet proficient in the freestyle technique. During my first open-water swim, I was quite scared of the large waves in the sea! When standing on the beach, it is impossible to swim out until a wave passes over you above your waist and you can take advantage of the wave's momentum to swim out. Otherwise, you will be pushed back by the waves. When swimming in the middle of the sea, I discovered the true meaning of waves. There are no shore-breaking waves, but rather more of a rolling wave. To swim smoothly, you need to dive deep into the water when a big wave comes. Swimming in the vast ocean makes you feel small. After swallowing some seawater, I finally made it to the shore with a time of 58 minutes.
90 km Bike ride: I noticed that a quarter of the bike riders had already set off by the time I arrived on shore. Since I did not bring my bike, I rented one, and I also did not have bike lock shoes, which greatly affected my performance. The Vietnam course had more flat roads, and my advantage of being good at climbing hills as a Miaofengshan Excellent Climber was not utilized. I gradually caught up with the disadvantage of swimming through intense chasing, but another problem arose because the rental bike could only hold one water bottle. With the scorching heat approaching 40 degrees, my previous experience of completing a 113 km Ironman race taught me that replenishment is more important than participating in the competition. I carried four bottles of water, one in each hand, and even one in my chest pocket, so that I could quickly replenish myself and maintain my competitive status while rapidly losing sweat. At this moment, I deeply understood the importance of the saying that "Before the troops move, fodder and provisions go first" from ancient times. As the last 10 km of the bike ride did not have ideal replenishment, I reduced my water intake. As a result, I started to feel dizzy and struggled to move forward. However, after seeing the replenishment station at the last 5 km, I frantically replenished my water and started sprinting toward the end of the bike ride. Finally, I completed the 90 km bike ride in three hours and began preparing for the run! Get ready to run!

21 km Running: It was now 11 am, and the temperature was approaching 44 degrees. I changed out of my Ironman outfit and put on my running clothes. When I first started running, I was a bit excited, but my experience of hitting the wall during a marathon taught me that the more you want to exert yourself, the more you should conserve energy. As the ancient Chinese saying goes, "A hidden dragon is better than a used one". If you exert yourself too early, you may regret it later. I ran the first 5 km at a pace of 7 minutes per kilometer, and then I began to feel something strange in my body, such as numbness in my fingers. At that point, I slowed down my pace since I saw ambulances rushing to rescue unconscious participants along the way. Being in a foreign country, I did not want to take any risks challenging the Vietnamese medical system. Instead, I slowed down my pace and enjoyed the race comfortably. Along the way, I saw many disabled people participating in the race, including blind runners with guide runners and athletes with congenital malformations, such as those born with only one arm but with a hand. This moment deeply shocked me and reminded me of a college elective course that talked about how the United States extensively used biological weapons during the Vietnam War, contaminating Vietnam's water resources and causing many Vietnamese people to be born with disabilities. Seeing the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese Ironmen, I also hope that the world can stop having wars that destroy the happy lives of people who love peace. I finished the last ten kilometers at 7 minutes per-kilometer pace. However, my hands were still numb. After the race, I asked a seasoned Ironman and found out that this was due to the temperature difference caused by quickly cooling down with cold water, causing my hands to become numb. The best solution at this point is to move forward slowly. I did not understand the scientific principles behind it, but I knew that the ultimate goal of each enthusiast was to complete the race safely. The finish line of the race is home, and it is better to train day and night than risk your life on the racecourse. Finally, I completed the running part of the Ironman competition in 2 hours and 40 minutes at a steady pace of 7 minutes per kilometer.
Crossing the finish line of the Ironman competition in 7 hours and 50 minutes did not bring excitement or a sense of triumph. The level of endurance required for such an event cannot be adequately described in words, and for a moment, the thought of never participating in such a sport again crossed my mind. However, after taking the time to rest and recover, recalling the various moments from the race reignited my passion, and I am eager to push myself to new heights. After this race, I hope to participate in an even more challenging Ironman competition, the 226 km race. I understand that difficulties are only temporary. Since I have chosen to pursue this path, I am not afraid of facing challenges head-on. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to my colleagues for reading this story to the end and my company for providing an excellent fitness environment. I hope to work diligently with the determined and hardworking people of Hanshuo who share a passion for sports, both in the workplace and on the sports field, sweating and striving towards our goals together!

Gentlemen's Friendship is Like Water

Strategic Marketing Dept.  Fan Min

After entering society, I am often busy with fast-paced work and life, and I can't help but miss the small trips I took with my friends. Taiwan was the place where I spent four years in college, and I would often take advantage of weekends and vacations with my classmates and roommates to explore its corners and discover its different charms. One of our stops before graduation was Tamshui, Jay Chou's alma mater, which we had wanted to visit for a long time.
Through the leaves of the bright sunshine, the air, lively dancing dust, the fields, soundly flying egrets, everything—even if the color was not so bright and colorful—all let a person feel that life was beating, and time was beautiful. I had made an appointment with my roommate to get up early, picked up my backpack, stepped onto the familiar district bus, and set off in the direction of Tamshui, Taipei.
The speed of inter-regional train was slower than the green train. We couldn't find a seat, so we had to lean against the door, listen to the sound of the train, and look at the scenery outside the window. We could temporarily enjoy the feeling of being empty. Looking out of the window, suddenly there were trees on the hillside, and suddenly there were streets and towns - the scenery changed freely, and I couldn't guess what would happen in the next scene outside the window, feeling the intertwined scenery of city and countryside.
Finally, before the legs of the "literary youth" became numb, we arrived at our destination, Danshui. The sky suddenly began to drizzle, and we stepped on solid green flagstones, crossed the path, and grabbed the railing of the Tamshui dock. We looked at the calm sea shrouded in mist not far away, and a peaceful and humid atmosphere swept over us. The slight disappointment caused by the bad weather was also eased by the refreshing and open scenery. The combination of rainwater and seawater seemed to be more in line with the characteristics of "freshwater." The green lawn in early summer appeared fresh and brand new under the light rain, and the usually dry and weathered stone slabs were filled with water vapor, reflecting the vibrant world around them. White clouds billowed in the sky, but they didn't feel heavy. The moist wings of seagulls were still soaring high. They all exhibited their quiet, ancient, dignified, yet vivid sides in this drizzle.
This should be a weekend, surrounded by many tourists and residents. They strolled on the beach and in the rain with umbrellas, along with their families and puppies, without making any noise or disturbance, enjoying leisure time with their loved ones. Unaffected by the drizzling weather, everyone wore calm and happy smiles, which were very infectious even for people living in a foreign country. This peaceful atmosphere was irresistible. When I graduated, after countless farewells, I suddenly thought to myself, shouldn't communication and getting along be like this? Everyone has their own unique personality and way of thinking, whether it's similar or opposite, and occasional confidences or disagreements shouldn't make us feel distant or difficult to connect with. Just like the saying goes, "friendship between gentlemen is as light as water." In interpersonal relationships, maintaining calm and composure is the key to building lasting connections. A clear mind and strong moral values are crucial, and one should not be easily influenced by the world and impatience because relationships are built on truth and sincerity. Getting along and honestly understanding each other is the true essence of a relationship. Even if you don't often meet or talk, when you reunite, you still feel a sense of familiarity, which is a very precious emotion.
When I strolled, I saw Chou's alma mater, Tamkang High School. The ancient red walls were marked with traces of time and green shadows cast over them. Across the street from the school, at the corner, there was a famous snack shop

known for the "Jay Chou Combo". As we entered the shop, the humble interior had only a few small chairs facing the sea. The owner, a lady, greeted us briefly, and it was only when we ordered the legendary "Jay Chou Combo" that we realized the food here was a crispy chicken leg and a bowl of wonton soup. Its taste wasn't as magical as the legends had it. Back then, it was just an ordinary lunch for high school students.
After finishing the "Jay Chou Combo," we decided to continue to immerse ourselves in the expansive "Tamshui scenery," drawn by the somewhat bustling "Old Street" in the distance. With some room left in our stomachs, we decided to sample more of the food from Tamshui Old Street. Although the storefronts along Tamshui Old Street were a blend of modern and vintage, adorned with various colorful festival displays, most shop owners sat calmly in front of their shops. They neither enthusiastically solicited customers nor discouraged tourists from wandering here. This juxtaposition with the surrounding scenery was unexpected yet harmonious. They only waited for customers to approach them with questions, then patiently introduced and answered, and when the customers left, they would smile and say, "Thank you."
The most famous snack in Tamshui is "Ah-Gei Lao Dian. "Ah-Gei" is in Taiwanese, and it involves deep-frying hollowed-out tofu, filling it with soaked mung bean noodles, and sealing it with fish paste. After steaming, just before enjoying this dish, it's generously drizzled with the restaurant's secret sauce. The taste is indescribably delicious, leaving your lips fully satisfied. This establishment has weathered the test of time, but with the passage of time, its reputation has only grown. The old shop's commitment to not renovating and the quiet dedication of the owner align perfectly with the character of "Tamshui". A deep-rooted sense of history permeates Tamshui Old Street. Another memorable treat is the "Milk Sweet Potato". While regular sweet potatoes are hot and soft, this one has a cool texture and is infused with a milky flavor. Resting on a bed of thick white coconut shreds is a large, smooth sweet potato, topped with enticing red beans. Its beautiful appearance is almost too beautiful to eat. But despite its seemingly "soft" exterior, it takes some effort to cut it with chopsticks. It's incredibly resilient, a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship of the shop. The moment it touches your palate, it's refreshingly delicious, and the "Milk Sweet Potato" lives up to its well-deserved reputation for being sweet without being overly cloying.
Nestled among various snack shops were elegantly decorated boutiques featuring jewelry, wall hangings, and other intriguing trinkets. Upon entering, accompanied by a soothing melody, the shopkeeper was immersed in his craftsmanship. We couldn't help but soften our voices to avoid disturbing the serene and elegant ambiance. The unique layout enticed us to explore and discover new things.
The rain gradually ceased, and we returned to the beach, once again sitting on the stone benches, gazing towards the distance in unison. The sun slowly revealed half of its face, casting rays through the clouds. The thin mist had not completely dissipated, but for a fleeting moment, it sparkled with a golden glow. The sea remained calm, gently rising and falling. Birds glided through the air, flapping their wings freely.
Everything in Tamshui was like a gentleman, tranquil and unassuming. I cherished and missed this pure and indifferent place. I hoped that my mindset and mood would be the same, that no matter how I interacted with others, I wouldn't be occasionally overwhelmed or discouraged by the light drizzle, nor would I become complacent or anxious due to unexpected achievements. Maintaining inner peace would be enough.

My Years at Hanshow

Sometimes I wonder why Hanshow has so many employees who have been with the company for seven or more years. How does Hanshow manage to retain these individuals? Why are there so many "boomerang" employees? Why did they come back after leaving? And how long will I stay at Hanshow? During my years at Hanshow, I, like most of my colleagues, started as an ordinary office worker. There wasn't anything particularly remarkable happening in my professional life, but everything was slowly changing. I'd like to share my experiences and thoughts from different stages of my journey and address the last question.
Joining Hanshow - Fate Brought Us Together
If I hadn't switched careers before graduating, I might be working on some production line in a chemical factory right now. In 2015, I graduated from North China Institute of Science and Technology with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, specializing in polymer materials. My teachers evaluated me as follows: I have clear thinking and a sharp mind. I am well-suited for research in polymer materials. However, I had grown tired of polymer chemistry even before graduating. I had already taken the national fitness coach certification exam while still in school, and I entered the fitness industry after graduation. This marked the beginning of a long and grueling period.
Working as a fitness coach came with performance pressures and social anxieties for someone like me who struggled with social interactions. A fitness coach's salary consists of a base salary, sales commissions, and teaching commissions. Starting at a new gym with no existing clients and classes meant no sales or teaching commissions. To survive, I had to approach potential clients in the gym and convince them to sign up, which was incredibly challenging. Socializing was a major obstacle for me because it involved persuading people to spend money on services I provided and promises I couldn't guarantee. Even as I accumulated clients and experience over the years, the pressure became overwhelming, and I couldn't enjoy the process. So, I decided to embark on a career change.
In August 2016, I was introduced to programming through a childhood friend. I underwent formal training in front-end technology through a structured learning system. Eventually, after facing numerous challenges, I secured a job as a front-end developer at a small company with around 30 employees.
When I started, I was working on JSP pages alongside Java developers in Eclipse. At that time, jQuery and Bootstrap were popular. I distinctly remember dealing with a JavaScript file that was several thousand lines long. I was responsible for the topology module, which was a critical part of my job. This file has passed through several hands and was originally obtained from the internet. It's used for drawing network topology diagrams and implementing user interactions through JavaScript libraries. In a JavaScript file with three to four thousand lines, adding a feature or modifying code felt like defusing a time bomb. It was a nerve-wracking experience, like walking on thin ice. Moreover, considering that I often have to carry out numerous development tasks within this file, the fact that it's a weakly typed dynamic language means that any oversight can lead to a slew of bugs. Later, the company transitioned to a front-end and back-end separation approach. We adopted Vue.js for front-end development, which significantly improved the development experience.
I spent more than two years at that company, waking up at 6 AM, taking a two-hour bus ride from Dongba to Xisanqi, and often not getting home until after 10 PM, sometimes even later. My hair started thinning, my health deteriorated, and the muscles I had diligently built over the years slowly gave way to layers of fat. Exhausted both mentally and physically, I decided to change jobs again.

In June 2019, I left my previous company and joined Hanshow. Thanks to my experience in my previous job, especially in developing topology and other data visualization features, my skills matched the requirements of the position. At that time, the company needed to develop a web-based template tool with a core feature that required browser-based drawing, which aligned perfectly with my expertise. Over my years of experience, I have developed a personalized approach to visual interaction. So, I smoothly transitioned into Hanshow and started working on the front-end development of the template tool.
Although it seemed like a smooth entry into Hanshow, there was a small hiccup along the way. When I received the job offer from Hanshow, I felt a mix of excitement and concern. I was worried about the overtime situation in the R&D department. During the interview, the interviewer mentioned that there could be a lot of overtime at the company and asked if I could handle it. At the time, I found online posts that mentioned Hanshow's work culture, suggesting there was a mandatory schedule of working on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. However, my daughter had just been born a few months earlier, and I wanted to spend more time with her. This situation nearly discouraged me from joining Hanshow, but after weighing the pros and cons, I chose to join, and I'm really grateful I did.
The first couple of months upon joining the company were the most emotionally charged for me. I quickly discovered many wonderful aspects of Hanshow. There's no harm without a point of comparison, and in every aspect, Hanshow provided me with experiences that completely surpassed my previous employers. The notion of "overtime on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays" wasn't about forcing employees to work overtime. Instead, it was about high efficiency. If you completed your tasks for the day efficiently, there was no need to stay late. Even when tasks were heavy and required overtime to complete, the company had excellent compensation policies. This made me feel that Hanshow is a very sincere and fair company. During the interview, they didn't exaggerate; instead, they honestly explained the situation to avoid future complaints. During the new employee orientation, when we shared our initial impressions of the company, many of my colleagues echoed the same sentiment: before joining Hanshow, they had a basic understanding of the company but didn't realize how attractive it was. The longer we stayed, the more familiar and fond we became of Hanshow. The company provided excellent employee care, including holiday gifts, birthday celebrations, free gym access, and activities like basketball and badminton.
Another observation is that Hanshow places a strong emphasis on quality while still striving for higher efficiency. In contrast, my previous company focused on agile development in terms of form, with rapid version releases, but struggled to maintain product quality. Issues with the product couldn't be addressed and resolved effectively. In comparison, Hanshow has a significantly longer software development cycle. This allows us ample time for research and validating the feasibility of technical solutions. We have enough time for pre-coding design and thorough development, all with the ultimate goal of ensuring the quality of deliverables.

Departing from Hanshow? - The Two-Year Itch
As time passed, the luster of my work began to fade. The cyclical allure of "Golden March, Silver April" and "Golden September, Silver October" hiring seasons, along with the prevailing notion that programmers find it easy to double their wages by hopping from one position to another, prompted me to entertain thoughts of seeking new employment after over a year in my current role. I aspired to pursue a more prestigious path within a major corporation, to elevate my professional trajectory. In October 2020, an enticing offer from Baidu came my way. As I contemplated my departure, I was approached by my supervisor for a conversation that would alter the course of my career. The realm of programming is often characterized by instability, with professionals frequently migrating between positions. Remaining at a single company for two years is considered a commendable feat, with many prioritizing immediate perks over long-term career growth. During our discussion, my supervisor elucidated the potential for my professional development and advancement within the company. It became evident that the company could furnish me with an exceptional platform for career development, showing a willingness to cultivate individuals with promising potential. Moreover, prospects for assuming greater responsibilities in frontend-related matters were on the horizon. This conversation reaffirmed the company's acknowledgment of my capabilities. Whether stemming from personal vanity or not, I felt a genuine sense of esteem and recognition. So, I decided to remain at Hanshow, continuing to stand shoulder to shoulder with my friends.
Taking Root in Hanshow - Growing Towards Success
Hanshow acts as fertile ground, where the deeper your roots penetrate, the more robust they become, allowing you to absorb an abundance of nourishment and exploit your talents. Hanshow stands ready to nurture your growth as long as you are willing. With your unwavering dedication, the company will inevitably bestow upon you significant responsibilities.
Over the past year, the company's software domain has witnessed monumental strides, such as the consolidation of UI styles across various systems and the introduction of the Allstar product integration blueprint. I am privileged to have engaged in and spearheaded the development of the UI component library. Previously, each system employed its own distinct styles for both generic and unique components, resulting in divergent aesthetics and wasteful duplication of coding efforts. Consequently, the company opted to embark on a comprehensive overhaul, designing a unified UI scheme. The Design Department, taking the lead, established UI specifications, which were subsequently implemented and encapsulated into a UI component library by the frontend developers. This approach not only ensured visual consistency but also optimized development resources. Furthermore, entrusting the task of crafting fundamental components to seasoned frontend developers elevated the overall code quality.
In pursuit of presenting the company's software products as a cohesive entity, unifying the UI style proved to be the

first move. The subsequent step involved integration, wherein Allstar seamlessly integrated various software systems, enabling synchronized logins and streamlined authentication processes. Users are no longer burdened with the arduous task of memorizing multiple user names and passwords or constantly toggling between disparate systems. Instead, they need only rely on the efficiency of Allstar.
Next step is to shift from "the appearance of being one" to "being truly unified as one". At present, my primary focus is on completing the development of a cohesive front-end. The current version of Allstar still bears the vestiges of various subsystems, and we have employed a micro-frontend approach to integrate their interfaces together. While the next phase involves amalgamating all front-ends into one project.
From developing template tools, to later working on Mars and map servers, to more recently unifying the UI and now consolidating the front-end, I feel that my role has gradually become more significant, and my contributions have accrued greater value. I firmly believe that every capable and motivated individual can play an indispensable role and become an integral part of the team. The company holds in high regard those who persevere and make ongoing contributions, and our corporate culture centers on striving for excellence.
If the day comes when I leave, there may be two possible reasons: either the company no longer requires someone like me, and a single ChatGPT has taken on the work of multiple individuals, or I may have moved on to pursue other ventures, changing my career path...otherwise, I would gladly remain here and grow alongside Hanshow, my most valued partner!

Autumn Journey to Tonglu

Strategic Marketing Dept.     Song Biyan

As the National Day holiday came to an end, and after working continuously for seven days, we felt a little tired. The colleagues from the Shanghai office organized a road trip to Tonglu over the weekend to relax. After a three-hour drive from Shanghai, we arrived in Tonglu on Saturday morning and went to have lunch at a local restaurant recommended by the homestay host. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful scenery of the Tonglu River, surrounded by familiar colleagues, and delicious local cuisine.
After lunch, we drove to OMG Heartbeat Park. Upon entering the park, our group of eight people took a boat through the colorful Karst cave, watching the swimming koi in the river, listening to the tour guide's introduction, marveling at the magical work of nature, and feeling the dew drops falling on our heads, believing it brings good luck. After getting off the boat, we climbed up the hill slowly on a magic carpet, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way: villages, sunshine, and happy companions. Next, we went to the endless glass skywalk. Alone, one may be afraid of heights, but together, we felt more at ease and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Our next stop was the thrilling go-kart race. On the winding track, the eight of us started a chase game. In the midst of chasing and playing, we finished the afternoon's activities. Back at the villa we rented, we started a barbecue, admiring the night view of the forest. We worked together, from washing and cutting vegetables, skewering meat, to grilling and tasting delicious food. In everyone's laughter, we could feel that we were getting to know each other better, and our relationship was becoming closer.
The next day, we woke up in a beautiful room with a large window in the mountains, and tasted a sumptuous breakfast prepared by the homestay host. Then we went to our next stop - Daqi Mountain. At Daqi Mountain, we climbed the mountain, exercised, and happily played with different equipment to improve our balance and strength. We breathed in the fresh air of the mountains, appreciated the clear lake water, and free-swimming fish. When we reached the mountaintop, we saw the magnificent waterfall and took a photo under it as a keepsake. On the way down, we chose to ride a small train, like a roller coaster, which made us very happy. Afterwards, we safely drove back to Shanghai, full of energy and ready to face the challenges of the new week.
This team activity enhanced our mutual understanding and cohesion, injecting us with vitality and energy to face the challenges of the new week. We look forward to more opportunities for similar activities in the future, to deepen our relationships and improve work efficiency.

Why Choose Transformer?

TECHNOLOGY

Smart Retail Division
Jing Yanhao

Transformer has been an Internet sensation in the deep learning world since its appearance in the paper Attention is All You Need in 2017, and has been widely applied in various sectors such as the ChatGPT at the end of this year. This article will introduce the basics of Transformer in the most accessible way possible. Please feel free to read it as there is no formula in it.
History of Transformer
The original Transformer is mainly used for machine translation tasks. Its main architecture is also relatively simple, that is, "a superposition of encoder and decoder". So what is an encoder and what is a decoder?
Here is a plain example: seeing the Chinese word "strawberry", you may think of the appearance and sweetness of a strawberry, and then the strange name of "Shiduopili" (which is the transliteration of strawberry in Chinese) will come to mind, and the word “strawberry” will escape your lips.
This is our translation process, which is similar to Transformer's encoder-decoder architecture. Specifically speaking, you think of the appearance and taste of strawberry upon seeing a word "strawberry", this is an encoding process; while the taste of strawberry reminds you of the pronunciation "Shiduopili" and the word "strawberry", this is a decoding process.

machine: "Strawberries are sweet! I am happy!" This is the attention a human is supposed to pay.
In a translation model without attention, connections may be established for different words only on the basis of the proximity principle. The essence of self-attention lies in the leapfrog connection from "I" to "Happy". Transformer also relies on this self-attention approach for better translation performance.
However, self-attention also has defects. It fails to make effective use of the position information of words in the sentence when establishing the connection between words. Therefore, every word exists in isolation without the position information.
Does the position matter?
To fully solve the defect of self-attention, Transformer introduces Position Embedding to effectively utilize the position information.
Another example of strawberry: "I feel happy. I ate some strawberries. They taste sweet" This sentence is very similar to the previous one, but they differ in the causal relation. In different languages, the position of words also has a great influence on the meaning of sentences. For example, in Japanese, auxiliary words are used to express

Does Transformer seem so simple in this regard? Those with some knowledge of deep learning would ask, there were countless models based on this architecture before Transformer, so what is the difference between them? As the title Attention is All You Need suggests, Attention is at the heart of Transformer.
What is Attention?
Multi-head Self-attention is at the heart of the components of a Transformer encoder or decoder. Self-attention, like human attention, focuses on what is important and ignores what is irrelevant. The Transformer operates in such a way that a multi-dimensional connection has been made between pairs of words in a sentence.
Another example of the strawberry. There is a saying: "I ate some strawberries. Taste sweet. Feel happy." This sentence makes sense to a human. However, a machine may get confused in this regard: "Which one is sweet? Who is happy?" As a human, I wouldn't hesitate to tell the

structural position information, so that the meaning can be expressed clearly even if in a reversed order. In Chinese, however, the order supports the whole sentence structure, so the position is vital.
Transformer takes advantage of Position Embedding to add a prefix to all words, announcing to the self-attention module: "Every word offered is in order, so take the position into account when making connections! "
Functions of Transformer
On the surface, Transformer is used for translation. In reality, however, with reasonable changes to the composition of encoder and decoder, Transformer can do almost anything in conjunction with some additional functional components.
For example, Transformer training data can be slightly modified to turn into a simple Q&A system, such as the ultimate Q&A system model ChatGPT. The Transformer without a text module and with pixels as input will turn into a Vision Transformer that can be used for image tasks (classification, detection, super-resolution, etc.). If texts and images under a unified form are input and output together, the Transformer can complete multimodal tasks. With various applications coming out in an endless stream, Transformer is changing our lives.
Conclusion
In the past five years, Transformer has reaped rich fruits in every field, and initiated a deep learning revolution. Transformer's success tells us that a little innovation can change an entire industry. Therefore, as researchers, we should focus on effective innovation and dare to change. However, innovation is not always successful, which also requires us to maintain a persistent heart, and transform trials and errors into innovation with value output.
This article mainly explains Transformer in terms of the principle and application. If you are interested in this regard, you can also learn about the internal architecture of Transformer and details on its implementation through the following quotations.

 Overseas Sales Division      Wang Yilin

October, the golden season of romance and beauty, is destined to etch unforgettable memories in my heart this year. If one were to inquire about the pivotal decisions and turning points in a person's life, undoubtedly, selecting a profession and embarking on a fresh career path would be counted among them.
Having declined the opportunity for further academic pursuit after completing my undergraduate degree in German from a domestic college, I chose to embark on a personal journey of self-discovery. It entailed venturing far from my hometown, alone, to pursue postgraduate studies in Germany. Afterward, no longer content with the constraints of a solely linguistic background, I seized the opportunity to become a sales representative in the battery industry. With limited knowledge of battery technology and sales techniques at first, I gradually honed my skills, adeptly guiding my sales team to achieve one milestone after another, accumulating six years of unwavering dedication. Although time seemingly flies, it has become increasingly apparent that I am facing a professional bottleneck in my current role. Be it the longing for personal growth or the yearning for a more fulfilling sense of accomplishment, I feel stuck. The monotonous routine and repetitive nature of my work, coupled with the accumulation of experience, have slowly eroded the flames of passion within me. After a period of contemplation and thoughtful consideration, I summoned the courage to break free from my comfort zone and embrace a more promising industry, aspiring to unlock my untapped potential. And it was during this juncture that destiny silently led me to Hanshow.
As I prepared for the interview, I discovered that Hanshow is a cutting-edge technology company. My initial impression was one of awe-inspiring coolness, perhaps stemming from my background as a science student in high school. Although I transitioned to studying foreign languages during my college years, my heart never truly relinquished its fascination with the wonders of science and engineering discipline. Later, I started to study the structural intricacies of electronic paper and the practical applications of ESLs. Gradually, my interest in this industry began to take root. Of course, a crucial factor contributing to my favorable impression of the company was the profound professionalism exhibited by HRBP Nan Hui from the German subsidiary, thus setting a solid foundation for my perception of Hanshow. Thus, in October, I officially embarked on a new chapter of my professional journey as a sales manager, joining the Hanshow family. After just a brief month since joining, it may still be insufficient for me to fully grasp the corporate culture. However, when I dissect this period into each passing day, I feel as though I have been here for much longer. This sense of familiarity perhaps stems from rediscovering the fervent version of myself.
Starting with the online training courses delivered by the company, I gradually gained a more profound understanding of the company's products and the industry landscape. The interactive quiz format has injected vivacity into what was once dull and tedious online instruction. Guided by the ardent and patient assistance of my colleagues, everyone is constantly responsive, always ready to assist. Particularly noteworthy is my "desk mate" Liu Yao, the Sales Manager of the German subsidiary who has led me into this industry. She patiently answers my questions in the meeting room and always gives me encouragement. These experiences have facilitated my substantial learning within the initial month of my tenure. I have partaken in the establishment of a 24-hour customer hotline service, dedicated to enhancing customer service experience and overall satisfaction. I have aided in the classification of over 100,000 ESLs for clients, furnishing diverse solutions to offer optimal quotations. I have also supported negotiations on contract details with Polish clients, comprehending their authentic needs and promptly effecting revisions, among other tasks. Through these collaborative efforts with my peers, I have gained a profound comprehension of the company's client-centric philosophy and its ethos of striving for win-win cooperation at every juncture. Gradually, I have figured out how Hanshow has emerged as a preeminent industry player overseas within a brief span of a few years.
What resonates most deeply is the ardor exhibited by all for their professions, wherein work is not merely a duty but a beloved pursuit. Approaching work with unwavering dedication, guffawing heartily during breaks, exuding perpetual energy, passion and perpetual youthfulness—this encapsulates the ideal state of existence for me. Approaching each morning with this fervor evokes a sense of returning to my days as a student. Before departing for work each morning, I jokingly told my family, "I'm off to school." I vividly recall a statement from President Li: "I hope everyone can fulfill their respective roles in their family, while the company's aspiration is to ensure that everyone works happily." I am delighted to be part of such an affectionate and engaging team.
Each day at Hanshow fortifies my conviction that it was the right decision back then for me to summon the courage to effect change. Fortune has smiled upon me, allowing me to embark upon the path leading to my desired destination at every pivotal juncture in life. I anticipate perpetually pursuing excellence, attaining commendable achievements, and ardently contributing to the company during my "learning journey" at Hanshow in the years ahead.

With the Touch of the Autumn Wind,
a Surge of Renewed Passion Awakens

In the voyage of exploring collaborative triumphs, I have come to deeply comprehend that it transcends mere business strategy; it is, in fact, a philosophy of life itself. During September, an internal reshuffling took place within the organization, and I found myself partnered with an experienced colleague who spearheaded the major project involving a renowned French retail conglomerate. Together, we took on this project along with several other franchising projects in France. This undertaking not only reshaped my work methodology but also greatly influenced my perception of teamwork.
In the initial stages of embarking upon this venture, I encountered a formidable obstacle: how to seamlessly integrate resources and information from different departments so as to propel the project towards peak efficiency. Initially, each department clung steadfastly to their established workflows, and as a newcomer, I struggled to establish effective channels of communication. With the help of my partner, I had the opportunity to interact with different departments, acquainting myself with every facet of the project and comprehending each pivotal juncture. He graciously shared with me his work methodologies. I realized that only through dismantling barriers and cultivating an environment of openness and mutual trust could we genuinely unlock the potential for collaborative success.
I embarked on an ongoing discourse with my partner, engaging in earnest consultations with superiors, and soliciting multifaceted perspectives and insights from those attending cross-departmental meetings. Throughout this process, I acquired the art of active listening—not merely capturing their words, but comprehending the underlying needs and motivations. Gradually, we started to understand each other's work methodologies and surmount challenges, forming the bedrock of our collaboration.
Moreover, we ventured into a novel pattern of cooperation. For instance, we fostered a shared document repository and platform, enabling real-time access into project progress and obstacles encountered for all team members. This transparent practice propelled collaboration efficacy while minimizing misinterpretations and redundant efforts.
The most invaluable lesson I've learned from embarking on this joint endeavor with my colleagues is that win-win cooperation transcends the mere achievement of shared objectives; it involves mutual growth throughout the process. Each individual has the opportunity to acquire new skills and acquaint themselves with diverse work methodologies. We are no longer isolated individuals, and operations transcend the boundaries of a single department. We stand as mainstay, pivotal in bridging gaps and propelling progress. Together, we form a team fortified by reciprocal support and unified progression.
My enthusiasm and fervor for both my team and the project are boundless. This ardor goes beyond relentless exploration and tenacious striving to achieve established goals; it resides in our cultivation of a new work culture—one built upon mutual respect, knowledge sharing, and individual development. It makes me realize that win-win collaboration is not merely a meaningless slogan, but a truth that necessitates perpetual exploration and tangible implementation. By fostering open communication, mutual respect and concerted efforts, we can create value far surpassing that of solitary endeavors.
Each of us represents a tongue of flame, for, as the saying goes, "It begins with a spark that ignites into an infero."

Many Hands Make Light Work

Harnessing the power of collective effort renders us invincible in the face of any challenge; tapping into the collective wisdom makes us fearless, comparable to saints. - Epigraph
In the golden month of September, when the winds were gentle and the atmosphere was serene, on an ordinary yet extraordinary day, I, as a newcomer of Hanshow France, embarked upon a remarkable journey in the realm of professional life.
Despite my relatively short tenure, with the invaluable help of departmental leaders and colleagues, I swiftly assimilated into the big family of French sales operations. Confronted with intricate French business scenarios and end-to-end operational procedures, each of my colleagues generously imparted their wisdom and shared their expertise, allowing me to quickly familiarize myself with the current French business landscape.

to the direction in life, representing the core of our true selves. By following this course, we will ultimately arrive at the shores of success. The philosophy of "True North" was a source of inspiration for me in two ways:
1. It helped me locate my direction in life. The instructor encouraged us to explore our aspirations in terms of the kind of person we want to become, the actions we would like to take to benefit others, and the legacy we wish to leave behind. Learning about the concept of "True North" and increasing my self-awareness has been invaluable in pinpointing the direction of my life and enhancing my leadership skills. Much like a compass always points to the magnetic field, once we follow our inner compass, our True North will guide us towards achieving our life purpose.
2. It motivated me to be a sincere leader. By finding our inner compass, we can become sincere leaders. When we lead with sincerity, people are naturally drawn to us and we can unite them around a shared goal. We empower them to take on responsibilities and ultimately create value for all stakeholders.
The concept of "True North" provides a roadmap to success, guiding us towards becoming sincere leaders who answer the call of our inner voice, work with sincerity, and practice "True North" to attain the "true scripture" of success.
In conclusion, this Excellent Manager Training Program has been a valuable and fulfilling experience. However, putting what we've learned into practice is essential if we hope to gain real-world experience. Under the guidance of instructors from Hanshow Academy and senior leaders, we will all move forward to the practical operation stage. Now I have a clearer understanding about my own "True North". By following our "True North", we can become managers who start with the end in mind, focusing on managing businesses, fostering talent and making our organizations vibrant. Like a world champion team, we should be unafraid to take risks and strive for success!

I had the privilege of participating in the two-month "Excellent Manager" leadership training program organized by Hanshow Academy. This program delved into the fundamental skills of managers as well as talent selection, cultivation, utilization and retention. It provided a systematic analysis of the pivotal human-centric aspects of effective management, underscoring the paramount importance and intrinsic value of individuals. The program blended online learning with offline practical exercises. The content was delivered in a manner that was both comprehensive and easily understood, closely aligned with everyday work scenarios. Moreover, the program equipped us with learning tools and techniques, facilitating immediate application in real-world management settings. Personally, this learning experience has reshaped my understanding of the managerial role, optimized my leadership behaviors and improved my expertise in talent selection, cultivation and retention.
As our company continues its rapid expansion, front-line managers frequently encounter challenges and dilemmas associated with personnel matters. For instance, we may recruit an employee who ultimately proves incompetent for the job following unsuccessful attempts at improving performance, resulting in losses on the part of both the company and that individual; or managers may focus solely on business metrics while overlooking staff development and growth. Consequently, they seek to augment their workforce through HR, citing busyness or lack of available personnel, without considering the long-term positioning and cultivation of new recruits. It is not uncommon to witness high-performing employees signaling their departure months in advance, a consequence of an unsatisfactory work environment. This necessitates managers to extricate themselves from the whirlwind of daily operations, dedicating more time to considering the human element and transitioning from task-oriented management to fostering talent. Recognizing that talent represents our foremost resource and the bedrock of accelerated business expansion, it becomes imperative for us to focus on effective talent acquisition, cultivate exceptional individuals, attentively observe the performance and growth of each team member, and spur their intrinsic motivation, enthusiasm and creativity.
As managers, our primary responsibility lies in skillfully steering our teams, empowering each team member to unlock their maximum potential. Therefore, what strategies should we employ as managers to achieve this? The program's first module titled "Navigating the True North of Life" resonated with me deeply. But what exactly is meant by "True North"? At the center of the Earth lies an axis that stretches from the South Pole to the North Pole. A straight line drawn from any point on the planet's surface to the North Pole points towards True North. Therefore, all lines of longitude can be considered True North lines. In essence, "True North" refers

Excellent Manager Training
- Insights on Team Leadership

Overseas Sales Division     DOU HONGJIE

A team is not merely a simple assemblage of people but rather a collective endowed with a shared mission, values and vision. In the context of the team, strategic deployment is of paramount importance as it involves definition of power and responsibility, tactics, organizational structure, and the so-called "wolf spirit" - a united and combat-ready team. At the core of shaping a successful team lies execution and leadership, which are essential elements. For a team to achieve outstanding performance, clear goals and strategies must be established while maintaining overall coherence.
Clear goals serve as the cornerstone of team success, providing a sense of purpose and impetus for the team to forge ahead. Team members must understand and actively engage in achieving these goals. At the same time, clear strategies serve as the roadmap to achieving these goals, acting as the strategic engine for the collective efforts of the team. During this process, leaders must steer the team towards common goals through effective organizational structure and by inspiring the "wolf spirit". The strength of execution directly determines whether a team can stand undefeated in a fiercely competitive market, while leadership acts as the driving force behind the team's progress.
Communication is the bond that connects each team member and a crucial factor in maintaining coherence. Leaders must shoulder the responsibility of facing difficulties without hesitation, being willing to take on challenges and difficulties that may arise during communication. Team members must demonstrate an attitude of fearlessness, being willing to express their own opinions during communication and engaging in in-depth discussions about the execution process and outcomes. The distribution of interests is another issue that requires special attention, with timeliness and fairness being two key points that need to be balanced during this process.
Organizational development is a vital aspect of team leadership, encompassing not only the ability to cultivate team members but also the accumulation of knowledge and the provision of platforms and opportunities. The strength of a team stems not only from individual excellence but also from the enhancement of collective capabilities. During this process, organizations must establish effective training mechanisms, stimulate team members' desire for innovation and learning, and provide them with ample development opportunities.
Vision and values form the bedrock upon which a successful team is built. To inspire followers, leaders must possess a clear-cut, persuasive vision and reinforce it through unwavering action. This also involves foresight and direction, as leaders must exhibit a steadfast sense of purpose and unwavering conviction. The demonstration

of effective leadership also relies on several other aspects:
1. Articulate the vision, priorities and objectives comprehensively: Leaders need to convey their ideas to team members and maintain close communication with them. This fosters unity and ensures alignment towards shared goals.
2. Select exceptional individuals: Forging a successful team entails the selection of exceptional individuals. A leader's role is not to dictate how things should be done, but rather to leverage their expertise and skills to collectively achieve team objectives, thereby fostering mutual growth.
3. Guarantee whole-team involvement in critical objectives: The majority of the team's energy should be concentrated on objectives that the leader deems most crucial. This necessitates clear focus, well-defined action plans and quantifiable outcomes.
4. Establish standards: Each team member should have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and the standards by which they will achieve their goals. This facilitates the formation of a clear chain of work accountability.
5. Conduct efficient meetings: Meetings serve as pivotal arenas for information dissemination and decision-making. It is imperative to ensure that meetings possess well-defined agendas, appropriate attendance, and yield substantive results.
6. Cultivate a sense of urgency, igniting proactive behavior among employees: By setting explicit goals and deadlines and implementing regular monitoring and follow-up processes, leaders can instill a sense of urgency among employees, ensuring each member appreciates the pressing nature of their tasks.
7. Delegate authority: For team members to transition from followers to emerging leaders within the team, it is essential to evaluate and assess their capabilities and sense of responsibility, ensuring they possess the requisite skills and dedication.
8. Address challenges: One of a leader's key responsibilities is to assist the team in overcoming obstacles and summarizing effective problem-solving approaches to be shared with the team members, thereby enhancing the whole team's ability to address challenges.
Building effective team leadership is a long and intricate journey, requiring leaders to continually distill insights from experience, adapt strategies, and continuously enhance their own leadership competency, thereby honing the team into an even sharper collective.

First Impression at Work

Operations Mgt. Dept.      Lao Lianya

Unconsciously, it has been six months since I joined Hanshow. I still remember the bright office environment and harmonious and creative team on the first day when I was deeply impressed. In order to help new colleagues, improve their skills and knowledge, the Company provides a variety of training programs, such as the course at Hanshow College and product assessment in the first two weeks. Inadvertently, we have learned much relevant knowledge.
As my first mentor, Liu Yao, who was tall, beautiful and lovely, gave me a lot of guidance and advice during my internship, helped me adapt to the new environment and answered many questions about the product in details. My lovely colleagues are also happy to share their experiences and knowledge. I still remember that in the first presentation, I learned that I had some shortcomings in presentation skills through everyone's feedback. Mycolleague Raihan gave me many useful suggestions, such as how to make a smoother transition and how to close the psychological distance with the audience. In the second presentation, Yunzhao gave me a more vivid understanding of our products through the actual use cases of ESL. We are always very happy to communicate and get along with each other, because we have the same age as our colleagues, and we have watched the same animations, listened to the same songs, and watched different idol dramas.
Within three and a half months after I joined the company, I was transferred from the Sales System Department to the Financial Operation Department as an intern. After some understanding of the products, I gradually gained some understanding of delivery and logistics, and the daily work after the change of department also changed greatly. Within the first three months in the Sales System Department, what I did the most was the company's background investigation and document translation; In the Operation Department, what I did more was the handling of ERP systems and EXCEL forms. However, my lovely colleagues remained the same. With the help of Xiaoxia, Gaodi, Wenya and Moli, I gradually became familiar with the operation work. I gradually found that in addition to carefulness and patience, an operator also should have a keen perception of numbers and excellent communication skills. In such a behind-the-scenes department, everyone silently contributes his/her own efforts, and cooperation with partners is full of joy, because all have a common goal, that is, to try their best to do what they can do better.
As a small part of Hanshow, we are all looking forward to making it more stable and glorious with our joint efforts!

My New Journey at Hanshow

Strategic Marketing Dept.   Yang Lu

As a long-time resident of Berlin, I, an overseas Chinese, had grown fond of Germany and its vibrant culture. Yet, the sudden pandemic altered my perspective on life. Berlin's bustling streets turned into deserted lanes, prompting deep introspection.
During those lockdown days, I contemplated the fragility and preciousness of life. The pandemic underscored the value of health and happiness and prompted a reevaluation of my values and lifestyle. I began to cherish each day and cultivate mindfulness towards the people and world around me.
The pandemic also sparked a desire for new challenges and change. When I learned of a job opening in Hanshow's strategic marketing department, excitement filled me. It was a chance for a fresh start in my career.
Arriving in Dusseldorf, I was filled with anticipation and a touch of apprehension. What would my new life hold? Could I adapt to this unfamiliar city? Determined, I embraced these challenges with a positive and optimistic outlook.
In June of this year, I embarked on my journey with Hanshow's strategic marketing department. Initially, I felt a bit overwhelmed, but with time, I seamlessly integrated into the team. My colleagues welcomed me warmly, aiding my adjustment to the new environment.
As Marketing Manager for the German-speaking region, my primary responsibility is to promote the Hanshow brand, products, and solutions. This entails aligning marketing strategies with regional business objectives, collaborating closely with the sales team, and showcasing Hanshow's uniqueness through various channels like marketing campaigns, social media, and digital marketing. Simultaneously, I liaise with headquarters, collecting and analyzing regional market data for informed decision-making.
Hanshow isn't just a workplace; it's a supportive family. My colleagues have always extended their support and trust. Whether it is Li Yu from the Finance Department or Shuangshuang and Nanhui from the Human Resources Department, they are always willing to help me solve problems and provide support. Jennifer and Klaus are willing to lend a helping hand and provide me with all kinds of help, even late at night. Joy and Fresse have full trust in my abilities. As soon as I joined the company, I participated in the workshop preparations for important customers, and gradually expanded to various marketing activities of external associations/partners in the German-speaking area, and coordinated the planning of the exhibition halls of German companies, German social media content preparation and other more comprehensive marketing work. These experiences bring me immense satisfaction, enabling me to spread Hanshow's values and aesthetics worldwide.
Beyond professional achievements, I have met many fantastic colleagues after work. We partake in team activities and dinners, fostering camaraderie and a cooperative spirit. Together, we inspire each other to strive for excellence.
Over time, I've acclimated to this new work environment and lifestyle, continuously honing my professional skills. I'm excited about the promising career prospects Hanshow offers, which align with my goals.
Meeting Hanshow has marked a significant journey in my life. I remain committed to personal growth, learning, and contributing to Hanshow's development. In this dynamic industry filled with opportunities and challenges, I'm confident in realizing my dreams and making a meaningful impact.
Irrespective of the future's twists and turns, I'm eager to face them with Hanshow. With the unwavering support and collaboration of the team, we can collectively shape a brighter future.

With the Return of the Spring,
Everything Comes Back

WORK

I think if I go home this Spring Festival, many friends and relatives would come to me and ask me: what have you learned from studying abroad? However, I will not go home this Spring Festival, therefore, I will share with you guys here what I have learned from studying abroad. The things I have learned from studying abroad are that I have seen different aspects of the world, have personal experience and contact with different cultures, tolerate people from different backgrounds and cultures with different personalities, and shape myself from the perspective of others in a new environment. As the opinion put forward in what anthropologist Victor Turner called the "thrice born" - "The twice born happens when we leave hometown for a new place. At this time, we will find that common sense is broken and new languages, customs and cultural logic are being formed." I took a twisted path during this phase while I was honed by lessons and assignments, and at the same time feeling the diversity of the world, till the graduation season came.
After graduation, I joined the big family of Hanshow and completed the transformation from a student to an employee. In the first few months of my time in Hanshow, I received a lot of care and help from colleagues, so that I could quickly adapt to the working environment and position. The colleagues in the Netherlands office have come together to form a very loving, dynamic and cohesive team. I am very lucky to join such a team and work together with my colleagues. I am also very grateful for the support and help from every colleague in the team.
After joining Hanshow, I began to pay attention to the  ESL in different areas and shelves of the supermarket every time I went to the supermarket, because the ESL used in national supermarkets such as Albert Heijn and Jumbo in the Netherlands are from Hanshow. Josh saidto

Though the road ahead is dangerous and difficult, we can only achieve our goals with constant efforts. We must press ahead with a sense of perseverance to expect a better future.
The end of the year is near, and 2022 is a unique and memorable year for me. I have lived a fast-paced life working and studying for my dreams and goals in the year that is going to pass. When looking back, I may sigh with emotion for so many uncertainties in the passing year. Nevertheless, there are two major achievements that mean a lot to me. The first is that I graduated from the University of Amsterdam, and the second is that I joined Hanshow after graduation.
As the saying goes: if the young people are strong, the country will be strong. I believe that every student will have ideals and aspirations when going abroad, hoping to

Operations Mgt. Dept.    Wang Runjie

study freely and make names for themselves in the vast world overseas. Therefore, with the consciousness of studying for the rise of China, I set foot on the road of postgraduate study in Europe, and became emotional in many nights while finishing my thesis before the deadline, thinking about whether I really needed this degree. Of course, giving up was out of the question. In this year, my biggest growth is that I honed my independent personality, strong heart and inclusive mentality. Nowadays, studying abroad has become a popular choice. Just like the Fortress Besieged by Mr. Qian Zhongshu, many people want to see what is going on outside the fortress only because they have stayed in the fortress for too long, but what they find outside the fortress is nothing so different from that inside the fortress.

me during my interview that: you can see the products of our company in your daily life, so you know where the work or project you are involved in is going, which is very meaningful and fulfilling. Indeed, every ESL installed on a shelf represents the work of each of Hanshow's colleagues.
All achievements come from a little daily effort. The time difference does not affect the communication of base between colleagues in different countries and regions. The serious and responsible attitude of the colleagues I have contacted has always impressed me. Xuexia is my daily telephone partner. She gives me careful and patient guidance in my work, so that I can gradually and quickly grasp the job content. For the operation meeting every Tuesday, the colleagues of various regions will gather in teams and make steady progress in all our work under the leadership of Yan Qiu. Every meeting and every communication contributes to the success.
On December 30, 2022, the auditors visited the warehouse in Netherlands to take stock. I had the opportunity to support the logistics team and get to know the warehouse and get familiar with product packaging, pallets and boxes. During the process of taking stock, one of the Dutch auditors said: Dutch supermarkets used to have such a rule that if you find a difference between the price on the cash register and the price on the shelf when you check out, you can get the item for free. But that's rarely the case since Dutch supermarkets started using Hanshow's ESL. Because the ESL can quickly realize the intelligent price change in batches, greatly reducing the occurrence rate of situation where price is not updated timely. This communication reminds me of Hanshow's vision of helping customers create digital application scenarios and improving the overall efficiency of store operation and management, and I personally feel that the company is gradually realizing its grand plan.
The road ahead is long, and striving is the only way forward. In the year 2023, I hope to improve my learning ability, executive ability and influence, become a knowledgeable, practical and driving employee, implement Hanshow's striver-based core values, and grow and progress together with every colleague in the team. The road ahead is dangerous and difficult, but I hope that we can join hands and overcome the difficulties together, and welcome a wonderful new year.
Finally, on the occasion of the arrival of the Spring Festival, I wish all colleagues a happy new year of "rabbit" and a bright future of your career!
